Many herbicide products have been heavily used by maize farmers in the Nan *** study,the knowledge,attitude,and practices associated with herbicide use and exposure were evaluated in maize farmers in Nanoi district,Nan *** of quantitative and qualitative methods were *** total response rate was 73.3%(407 cases).The results showed that 79.9% were male.70.8% of the subjects were 35-53 years old.36.1 % reported health effects after they sprayed ***,48.6 % of maize famers had high knowledge level,69.3 % had positive attitudes,and 93.9% had good *** significant associations(p< 0.05) were found between the knowledge and the attitudes(r =0.37),the knowledge and the practices(r=0.24),and the attitude and the practices(r=0.2).However,the majority maize farmers have high knowledge,positive attitude,good practices,but the maize farmers still have herbicides poisoning symptoms in a few and moderate *** the cross check was necessary conducted through the qualitative *** important finding when the maize farmers applied herbicides,they did not use the personal protective equipment,because PPE can cause discomfort,mainly in hot *** also found some maize farmers who used improperly PPE,because they thought it is enough to *** results were directly opposite the result that obtained by face to face ***,the risk communication and the implementation of personal protective measures(PPE) are necessary to provide for encouraging their health effect concern and decreasing their risk of herbicide exposure.

Automated random testing is efficient at detecting faults but it is certainly not an optimal testing strategy for every given program. For example, an automated random testing tool ignores that some routines have stronger preconditions, they use certain literal values, or they are more error-prone. Taking into account such characteristics may increase testing effectiveness. In this article, we present Evotec, an enhancement of random testing which relies on genetic algorithms to evolve a best testing strategy for contract-equipped programs. The resulting strategy is optimized for detecting more faults, satisfying more routine preconditions and establishing more object states on a given set of classes to test. Our experiment tested 92 classes over 1710 hours. It shows that Evotec detected 29% more faults than random+ and 18% more faults than the precondition-satisfaction strategy.

Change management is a key issue in collaborative software development. In a collaborative work, the fact that many change processes applied to shared artifacts are executed concurrently leads to the inconsistency problem. Most of previous studies addressed only conflicts, a type of inconsistency caused by concurrent change activities on shared artifacts. In this paper, we define patterns of inconsistency, including conflict patterns, concerning the change context instead of only concurrent change activities. To deal with these inconsistencies, we propose an approach that is a combination of the process support approach and awareness support approach. We model change processes as Change Support Workflows (CSWs) and manage their execution. We then introduce a Change Support Model (CSM) based on this approach. CSM is a model of a dynamic workflow management system. In CSM, inconsistency awareness is implemented using workspace awareness and context awareness techniques. Requirements, static model, architecture, and dynamic model of CSM are also specified. Our approach will help workers to implement changes more safely and efficiently in collaborative environments.

Researchers who aim at comparing their work with others' using the same artificial DNA datasets may not be always possible. For performing such comparisons, one attempts to create his/her own simulator in order to generate similar datasets. As a result, the result may differ from a scientific paper to another due to different simulators. We believe that if there is a common artificial data simulator, scientific findings will be more meaningful and reliable. In this paper, we present, Argan, an artificial sequencing tool. It is a command-line tool that tends to be a standard software for simulating artificial data from complete genomes. The structure of this tool consists of a Sequencer and an Errorizor. Argan is freely available as an open-source implementation. The source code and binary file can be downloaded from http://***/projects/dnascissor/files/Argan/.

Recently model transformations quickly become large size and complex in structure. It is necessary to apply the modeling technique when developing transformations to manage the complexity. The paper proposes VisTML-a visual modeling language for model transformations. It provides six diagrams, which cover the whole lifecycle of transformation development and enable us to specify a transformation from various views and in different phases, i.e. the goal diagram, the transformation diagram, the rule diagram, the composition diagram, the test diagram, and the deployment diagram. We also provide a tool support and a real case of VisTML to illustrate the feasibility of VisTML. Besides, a comparison of VisTML, UML, and transML is presented at last.

As the embedded systems are becoming more and more complex, requirements engineering approaches are needed for modeling requirements, especially the timing requirements. Among various requirements engineering approaches, the Problem Frames(PF) approach is particularly useful in requirements modeling for the embedded systems due to the characteristic that the PF pays special attention to the environment entities that will interact with the to-be software. However, no concern is given on timing requirements of the PF at present. This paper studies how to add timing constraints on problem domains in the PF. Our approach is to integrate the problem representation frame in the PF with the timing representation mechanism of MARTE(Modeling and Analysis of Real Time and Embedded systems). A unified problem frame modeling process integrated with timing constraints is provided, and problem frame requirements with timing constraints expressed by MARTE/CCSL(Clock Constraint Specification Language) and clock construction operators are obtained.

The 2004 tsunami has caused tremendous damage in history to many coastal countries around the Indian Ocean with more than 200,000 peoples were deaths. The frequency and severity of natural hazards and disasters such as tsunami have increased in recent years and those trends are expected to continue well in the future. The preparation for tsunami must include research, education, community empowerment and relevant action and practices. Many reports confirmed that a major underlying factor to any catastrophe was people's general lack of awareness about disaster risks and how to respond appropriately in order to minimize the loss of lives, property and livelihoods. Therefore, the objective of this paper is to highlight community roles in order to strengthen their resilience to cope with tsunami disaster. This paper involved with secondary data which are collected from journal, proceedings, books and internet. From the study, although a tsunami cannot be prevented, the impact of a tsunami can be mitigated through community preparedness, timely warnings, and effective response. With better technology, planning and education, preparing for disasters such as tsunamis can be improved. However, to assure all programmes and strategies which cope with tsunami hazard successfully, community as a main stakeholder must be involved because any system will fail if the community as public is unaware and unprepared on what actions to take in the event of a tsunami. Moreover, communities can survive future tsunamis if they are well prepared and have integrated knowledge about this matter. Overall, to make sure the successful of all programmes and strategies which cope with tsunami hazard it must involve community as a main stakeholder.

Hierarchical State Transition Matrix (HSTM) is a table-based modeling language for developing designs of software systems. Although widely used and adopted by (particularly Japanese) software industry, there is still lack of mechanized formal verification supports for conducting rigorous and automatic analysis to improve reliability of HSTM designs. In this paper, we first present a formalization of HSTM designs as state transition systems. Consequentially, based on this formalization, we propose a symbolic encoding approach, through which correctness of a HSTM design with respect to LTL properties could be represented as Bounded Model Checking (BMC) problems that could be determined by Satisfiability Modulo Theories (SMT) solving. We have implemented our encoding approach in a tool called Garakabu2 with the state-of-the-art SMT solver CVC3 as its back-ended solver. Furthermore, in our preliminary experiments, a conceptually simple but steadily effective way of accelerating SMT solving for HSTM designs is investigated and reported.

The main dietary goal during pregnancy is to obtain adequate nutrition to optimize health of both mother and *** aim of present study is to investigate the association between knowledge and dietary behavior among a group of women in normal condition of pregnancy.A cross-sectional study was conducted among pregnant women who attended Obstetrics and Gynaecology clinic during their antenatal care ***,attitude and practice on food and nutrition(KAP) questionnaire was *** mean(SD) score for nutrition knowledge,attitude and practices for pregnant women was 13.8(3.4),14.9(2.6) and 3.7(0.8) which presented 65.7%,57.3% and 74% correct response rate *** was significant positive but not strong correlation between nutrition knowledge and practices(r= 0.152,p=0.003),knowledge and attitude(r= 0.154,p=0.002) and attitude and practice(r=0.147,p=0.004).This study showed significant differences among means of knowledge between healthy and unhealthy practices on:frequency of eating snacks,selection of food for lunch and dinner,frequency of chicken /duck intake,type of drink,first and third liking activities in free time,most important priorities when buying food and taking vitamin/mineral supplementation;and of favorable/unfavorable attitudes on:importance of physical activity,change of dietary pattern to improve health,most important priorities when buying ***,no significant mean difference was found in healthy/unhealthy practices on:frequency of taking breakfast,types of snack usually eaten,first selection of food for breakfast,frequency of fish/other sea food,meat,beef,mutton,egg,beans and products,vegetables,fruits,and milk intake;and no significant difference was shown between two groups attitude on:least important priorities when buying food and attitude about fast *** can be concluded that the level of nutrition knowledge(NK) is satisfactory;however the effect of NK on healthier practices and attitudes is not too powerfu
