Historical events such as natural disasters, financial crisis, and new invention are common knowledge sources in social media such as Wikipedia. Internet users can search for a particular historical event through the support of information extraction and retrieval techniques. However, the users may have another need - query the events occurred in the same year worldwide. To acquire such knowledge, one possible way is to browse the events year by year, which is a labor intensive and time consuming process. Therefore, this work proposes a framework that can mine the historical events occurred in the same year. For visualization purpose, the mined historical events are displayed on the Google Map according to their locations. Such visualization information can provide an integrated view of temporal and spatial information of historical events.

According to the difficulty of Oracle Bone Inscriptions(OBI) knowledge sharing, a scenario of OBI ontology construction is proposed. Because of the hard work of ontology building, a transformation method from existing OBI database to ontology is discussed. Firstly, analysed the similarity between entity-relationship model and RDF model. Secondly, introduced the transformation ideas and process. Finally, implemented OBI ontology by using the transformation method. It is a semi-automatic method because there requires manual intervention during the process of transformation. Results show that the method can really reduce the burden of ontology researchers.

This paper, combining with the "5.12" Wenchuan earthquake damage data, analysis the destruction and the cause of the destruction of the frame structure folded plate staircase stair tread in the earthquake. And on this basis, this paper, taking a 5-layer framework structure office building as example and using the PMSAP finite element analysis software, establishes the spatial model with a folded plate stair components included and does the quantitative analysis, which in the end results in the variation of internal forces of the variety of stair treads under earthquake size and the changing law, and then the traditional model results is compared with the new data. Finally, this paper comes up with the design strategies for new construction and the repair and reinforcement of the reinforced concrete frame structure folded plate stair frame in the future.

The feasibility of batch and continuous extractive distillation analysis for the separation azeotropic mixtures is addressed. Based on batch feasibility knowledge, batch and continuous separation feasibility is studied under reflux ratio and entrainer flow-rate for a working example ternary system acetone- chloroform-benzene, which belongs to the 1.0-2 class case (a). Possible feasible regions are determined by finding the feasible points based on continuous methodology, they show minimum and maximum feed ratio as a function of the reflux, and a lower bound for the reflux ratio. Later on, simulations verified the feasibility of calculating results based on theoretical methodology.

Many urban areas are experiencing land subsidence due to water, oil and natural gas withdrawal, underground construction, sediment compaction, and so on. The X-band SAR system such as TerraSAR-X and Komsat-5 has higher spatial resolution than C-band and L-band system. Therefore it is valuable for effective monitoring of urban area in terms of detecting subtle surface deformation and reconstructing 3-D building structure. Here we present the time-series deformation from 20 TerraSAR-X SAR data over New Orleans, USA. The Gamma software was only used to extract sensor parameters from TSX's xml fie, and modified ROI_PAC 2.2.2, which is optimized for high resolution SAR, was used for interferometric SAR processing. Both persistent scaterrer InSAR and SBAS technique were applied for analysis of time-series deformation. According to initial X-band InSAR result, high accuracy and spatially dense subsidence map was obtained by TerraSAR-X InSAR analysis. Deformation map derived from TSX will be compared with other satellite's results such as RADARSAT-1.

The application of CAD/CAM in design optimization of rotary tillage tool on the basis of finite element method and simulation method is done by using CAD-software for the structural analysis. The different tillage tool parts of rotary tillage tools are geometrically constrained with preparation of solid model and The Simulation is done with actual field performance rating parameters along with boundary conditions .The energy constrained for the tillage tool applications with 35Hp and 45Hp power tractor and estimated forces acting at soil-tool interface. The resultant effect on tillage blade and whole rotavator assembly is obtained from stress distribution and deformations plots. The proposed work results in identifying sufficient tolerance in changing the dimensions of rotavator frame sections and side gear box for removing the excess weight in a solid section and also to raise the weight of blade for a reliable strength. The present working model with tillage blade is analysed to new design constraints with change of its geometry for the maximum weed removal efficiency by presenting its practical results from the field performance.

Data mining techniques are important to sift through the huge amount of gene expression values in microarrays resulting in valuable biological knowledge. An important example is classifying cancer samples, which is crucial to biologists for cancer diagnosis and treatment. In this paper we propose the DMCA technique in which the main objective is reducing the number of genes needed for accurate classification. The proposed technique is a combination of two feature selection techniques, f-score and entropy-based, and a powerful classifier, Support Vector Machines. DMCA achieved promising results and is characterized by being flexible in all of its stages. When applied to two public microarray datasets, DMCA succeeded in reducing the number of gene expression values needed to classify a sample by 71.29% and guaranteed reliable classification accuracy.
