Remote-sensing image processing applications demand large-scale, collaborative processing and storage capabilities. Computational grid can provide abundant powerful computational resources with sharing and cooperation in grid environment. This paper gives an introduction to a collaborative processing mechanism based on workflow technology implemented in ImageGrid The main idea is to encapsulate all parallel algorithms of remote-sensing image processing into grid services and recombine them with grid workflow to satisfy more and more complex remote-sensing, image processing applications. In particular, we describe the architecture of the workflow-based grid system and the processing flow. We also give out the algorithm classification and an example of remote-sensing image processing grid application.

MANET: are composed of mobile nodes without any infrosiructure and nodes cooperate to set up routes for network communications. Because of these characters, MANETs operate in open medium, so they are particularly vulnerable to intrusions. In this paper, we present an efficient intrusion detection system called MAPIDS (Mobile Agent-based Peer-to-peer Intrusion Detection System). On detecting a suspicious activity, MAPIDS initiates a voting approach to make a collective decision and take further action. In contrast to other intrusion detection system based on collective decision, MAPIDS saves more bandwidth and energy and it is immune to sparse nodes problem.

In this paper we propose a distributed broadcasting algorithm for wireb?ss ad hoc networks. In the algorithm, an efficient strategy is used to determine the forward status of a node by just checking whether there exists a ring that contains all its neighbors. The proposed algorithm is more efficient than the existing broadcasting algorithms in the literatures. That is, the size of the forwarding nodes found by our algorithm is smaller and the running time is faster than other broadcasting. algorithms. Reducing the number of forwarding nodes will decrease the probability of transmission collision, and hence improve the packet delivery ratio. The algorithm runs in O (d(2)) time, where d is the maximum node degree. The full coverage is not guaranteed but as shown by the simulation results, the probability of full coverages can be over 99 percent when the network contains 100 or more nodes.

Most of the actual approaches to address the problem of serial code executing on parallel multi-core processors try to exploit the parallelism of the code during compile time. Such a solution is very efficient but places the burden on the programmer to know the code will be running on a parallel architecture. In addition, the programmer needs to know the details of the architecture in order to generate efficient parallel code. In this work we present an alternative approach, the layer disruption model, that improves the performance of serial code executing on parallel architectures. We present a small test case that shows the benefits of the model.

Pattern recognition applications such as natural phenomena detection and structural health monitoring have been widely applied using wireless sensor networks. These applications involve large amount of data to be analysed, and thus incur high computational time and complexity In this paper we present a parallel associative memory-based pattern recognition algorithm known as distributed Hierarchical Graph Neuron (DHGN). It is a single-cycle learning algorithm with in-network processing capability;able to reduce computational loads by efficiently disseminates recognition processes throughout the network. Hence, suitable to be deployed in wireless sensor networks. The results of the accuracy and scalability tests show that our system performs with high accuracy and remains scalable for increases in pattern size and the number of stored patterns. The response time for pattern recognition remains within milliseconds irrespective of the size of the network.

In this paper, we present a new efficient way to high performance NFS implementation for cluster applications. By adding mechanisms to make good use of NFS server's multiple communication channels and multiple I/O channels, CluserNFS can potentially provide better I/O performance khan standard NFS, as illustrated by our simulation experiment results.
