Grid connected Solar Photovoltaic (PV) generation systems.are becoming popular. Solar PV systems.will supply power to the local loads and also pump the power to the grid when local demand is less. Line impedance and load variations will adversely effect the efficiency of the power pumping capability of the system. This paper describes how the line impedance and loading influence the voltage profile in the distribution network with distributed solar PV systems. In this context, an analysis on the voltage profile due to the variation of load change and line impedance are investigated in a representative low voltage (LV) distribution network. The system is simulated using MATLAB/SIMULINK platform.

In order to find out the relationship between customer's behavior and customer's focus, analyze the dynamics of recommendation system and dynamic recommendation model based on customer behavior, this paper adopt Hadoop's Weibo recommendation system to classify customer behavior, focus on analyzing and researching the current main Internet behaviors, and work out the specific forms of prototype system and main parts of the system, and analyze the specific functions of each module, According to the practice, content and location of micro-blog users, A hierarchical prototype model is established, and the information recommendation is realized through similarity calculation. The results show that the characteristics of high-quality distributed storage system and distributed computing capabilities with speed of Hadoop, which gives customers an access to recommendation of Weibo and friend services in time, realizing the ability to recommend friends to customers, and verifying the system through relevant tests.

Community detection in complex networks has a wide range of applications such as detection of cyber-communities in social networks, recommendations based on the interest group, and estimating hidden features in a social network. In distributed frameworks, the primary focus has been scalability. However, the accuracy of the algorithm's output is also critical. We propose the first distributed community detection algorithm based on the state-of-the-art CEIL scoring function. Our algorithm, named DCEIL, is fast, scalable and maintains the quality of communities. DCEIL outperforms the existing state-of-theart distributed Louvain algorithm by 180% on an average in Normalized Mutual Information (NMI) Index and 6.61% on an average in Jaccard Index metrics. DCEIL completes execution for 1 billion edges within 112 minutes and outperforms state-of-the-art distributed Louvain algorithm by 4.3x. DCEIL critically exploits three novel heuristics which address the existing issues with distributed community detection algorithms that have the hierarchical structure of CEIL or Louvain methods. Further, our proposed heuristics are generic as well as efficient, and we illustrate their efficacy by enhancing the accuracy of distributed Louvain algorithm by 22.91% on an average in Jaccard Index, and the average execution time by 1.68 x over popular datasets.

In real-time distributed transaction processing, deadlocks must be detected and resolved. Timeouts are not a viable option because they lead to lost work and missed deadlines. We have proposed a suite of deadlock detection protocols and a resolution protocol which carry a varying degree of (generally low) overhead. The protocols behave differently under varying load conditions and transaction characteristics. Further, the invocation period of these protocols can be controlled to improve performance when the overhead tends to become large. The performance of these protocols has been demonstrated using a distributed real-time transaction processing simulator which provides an interactive interface to set parameters, and also has provisions to select from a variety of concurrency control, priority assignment, workload distribution and other protocols. The impact of transaction workload, underlying system configuration, resource availability, detection rates, and congestion on each of the proposed protocols is observed and presented. In general, the multi-cycle detection protocol demonstrated the most superior performance over a broad range of parameters. The results presented in this paper were obtained from over 147,000 simulations.

Chemical mechanical planarization/polishing (CMP) is an important process in semiconductor manufacturing. This process integrates the chemical energy and physical energy to reduce the thickness and planarize the surface of wafer. In CMP process, the slurry is a key material to use its silica abrasive nanoparticles distributed on the polishing pad to cut the passivation layer of the wafer surface. In our previous researches, electro kinetic force (EKF) is applied to assist CMP process (EKF-CMP system) with great development potential. This study uses COMSOL Multiphysics analysis software with three modules, electric current, laminar flow and particle tracing, to simulate the dynamic behaviors of abrasive nanoparticles in the slurry under the influence of electro osmosis flow. The results show that the design with positive and negative staggered electrodes produces the convection flow pattern of abrasive particle in the slurry. The simulation result of particles' velocity field is in good agreement with the experimental result by Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) method. To quantify the random motions of particles, this study defines the granular temperature as the specific fluctuation kinetic energy of particles. The granular temperature is introduced to be an index to measure the strength of particles fluctuation in the slurry. With the design of bidirectional electrode, the granular temperature increase in both Cu-Blanket film CMP and glass CMP systems. For Cu-Blanket film CMP system, EKF can improve 22.29% of material removal rate (MRR). While for glass CMP system, EKF can improve 9.52% of MRR. The Pearson correlation coefficient between granular temperature and MRR in Cu-Blanket film EKF-CMP and glass EKF-CMP systems.are 0.94 and 0.91, respectively, so that the granular temperature can indicate the performance of material removal in EKF-CMP process appropriately. The large-scale surveillance video processing workloads are gradually migrated to cloud computing platforms. Meanwhile, the hybrid storage architecture, integrating both HDD and SSD storage devices, is increasingly used in the current cloud platforms. However, the computing and storage capabilities of the nodes are constantly changing, and this requires the delicate design of the data layout strategy for avoiding the serious load skew in the distributed computing nodes with the hybrid storage architecture. In this paper, we propose a Load-Aware Data Migration (LADM) scheme for distributed surveillance video processing with hybrid storage architecture. Specifically, according to the proposed the load estimation model and the storage capacity constraint, the Node-Level Data Migration (NLDM) strategy is used to periodically migrate the appropriate video chunks from the local HDD to the local SSD for improving the node processing performance, and the Cluster-Level Data Migration (CLDM) strategy is used to periodically migrate the appropriate video chunks from the high load nodes to the low load nodes for achieving the overall load balance of cluster. We conduct the extensive experiments based on the distributed surveillance video processing platform we developed, and the experimental results show that the proposed LADM scheme outperforms the current methods.

Access control (AC) is critical for preventing sensitive information from unauthorized access. Various AC systems.have been proposed and enforced in different types of information systems.(e.g., bank and military). However, existing AC systems.cannot thoroughly address the challenges in emerging distributed processing systems.(DPS), such as Big Data (BD) and Cloud, due to their dynamic and complex architecture. Generally, AC for DPS needs to consider the protection for collaboration among distributed processing domains. Even though some DPS architectures were proposed to address DPS challenges, most of them only focus on processing capabilities without consideration of AC. Even with some inclusion of security in recent DPS, they are mostly ad hoc and patch efforts. In this paper, we analyze the general features and use cases of BD and Cloud, which are two of most widely applied DPS applications, and propose a set of general and comprehensive considerations for AC in DPS, which can provide a guideline for designing AC systems.for DPS.

Collaborative document authoring between geographically distributed users is increasingly common in our professional and personal lives. Corresponding systems.aim to allow for the involvement of locally unavailable specialists while connecting familiar single-user functionality with an accessible, distributed multi-user environment. However, considering the highly dynamic processing loads on modern machines, accounting for network inadequacies, and providing a user-adjustable, mainly interruption-free work environment still presents some challenges. To address these challenges, we integrated our fine-granular data model, concurrency-based command application, and data-type specific consistency management into a distributed authoring environment. The collaboration environment provides individual sites sufficient independence to allow the local users to adapt their work experience based on personal preference and other, machine-related factors. This paper discusses our approach for a responsive, yet unobtrusive and adaptable distributed compound document authoring environment with the focus on concurrent and mainly autonomous command application and consistency management.

Formal methods provide easy way of validating properties about systems. These methods are in existence since the last 50 years but have not been used fully by the industry as an engineering tool. One of the challenges of acceptance is education. Educating engineering students to take up formal methods is a challenge. This paper looks at these aspects of formal methods by providing demonstration of its usefulness on a recent failure. A few challenges of teaching formal method are described and three perspectives of formal methods are explained. The viewpoints are from a student who has worked on this, a teacher who teaches this and an industry practitioner of formal methods. We advocate an industry academia partnership to overcome some of these challenges of teaching formal methods to students.
