In recent years, a lot of advancement took place in distributed generation (DC) and electric vehicle (EV) technology. As a result, many utilities worldwide are planning to deploy DG in their distribution system to ease the growing energy demand. Moreover, many countries are encouraging the growth of EVs to reduce carbon and other green house gas emission, limit air and noise pollution, and enhance energy security. However, in the design of traditional power systems. these technological advancements were not considered. These technologies can make an impact on the life of assets of the distribution systems. Therefore, they need to be addressed appropriately for better estimation of asset utilization. A DT is one of the major assets for any electrical distribution system. For satisfactory operation, its performance in the presence of new emerging technology should be properly investigated. distributed network system is responsible for many dynamic information computing services, and all tasks are scheduled through resource managers. Large-scale distributed network systems.need to integrate heterogeneous and dynamic characteristics into the content of resource allocation and dynamic management. However, the diversity of network equipment and internal communication brings great difficulties to resource allocation/dynamic management. The effectiveness of scheduling decisions issued by resource managers is also difficult to determine. The resource allocation and dynamic management scheme of distributed network system proposed in this paper adopts bi-directional recurrent neural network learning to realize reliable and efficient resource allocation and operation and maintenance management solution. The output of bi-directional cyclic neural network is dependent on the current input and memory to synthetically decide when to match a task with a resource and improve the utilization and performance. Experiments in real distributed network systems.show that the technical indicators of this method, including efficiency and execution rate, will not be significantly reduced by the increase in the number of tasks. Therefore, this method can further enhance the reliability and scalability of the resource allocation and dynamic management of distributed network systems.

This paper studies optimal consensus and formation coordination algorithms for both Single-input Single-output (SISO) and Multi-input Multi output (MIMO) multi-agent systems.with high-order integral dynamics from a Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR) perspective. Firstly, as a new approach using partitioning method, the high-order linear differential dynamic is modeled for SISO multi-agent systems. Then, the consensus algorithm based on Laplacian matrix corresponding to interaction graph between agents is derived for the system under consideration. After that, optimal consensus problem is defined in a LQR problem setting. In addition, a part from most of the similar works, Laplacian matrix which is one of the important elements in consensus algorithms is supposed to be unknown, and optimal Laplacian matrix is derived. Then, optimal consensus algorithm for high-order SISO systems.with high-order-integrator dynamics is derived, and extended for MIMO systems. Moreover, to provide the formation algorithm for SISO and MIMO multi-agent systems. necessary terms are added to the derived optimal consensus algorithms.

Inmodern times, communication network systems.such as the Internet and the GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication) consist of two types of nodes: service control nodes (server systems. and switching nodes (switches and routers). The switching nodes are utilized for transmission of data across the network while the service controls nodes save and distribute vital information. The recent sharp global increase in communication network activities has led to high network traffics in switching nodes and equally high rates of incoming requests in service control nodes. As a result, long queues of client requests now cause the overloading of the service control nodes. Server systems.are very sensitive to overload. Consequently, there are now recurring cases of client request rejection, service timeouts and longer server response time experienced on most communication networks. This research presents the use of admission control system based on queuing theory to optimize the performance server systems. A PI-controller (Admission Controller) has been designed and integrated into a typical G/G/i-system (Single Server Queue) based on the nonlinear (probability) model. The controller has been evaluated and verified by simulating the overall system to determine its stabilizing and optimizing effects on web/application server systems.

The communications take place mainly between cluster of worker nodes for training data and parameter servers for maintaining a global trained model. For fast convergence the worker nodes and parameter servers have to frequently exchange billions of parameters to quickly broadcast updates and minimize staleness. Demand on the bandwidth becomes even higher with the introduction of dedicated GPUs in the computation. While rdMA-capable network has a great potential to provide sufficiently high bandwidth, its current use over TCP/IP or tied to particular programming models, such as MPI, limits its capability to break the bandwidth bottleneck. In this work we propose irdMA, an rdMA-based parameter server architecture optimized for high-performance network environment supporting both GPU- and CPU-based training. It utilizes native asynchronous rdMA verbs to achieve network line speed while minimizing the communication processing cost on both worker and parameter-server sides. Furthermore, irdMA exposes the parameter server system as a POSIX-compatible file API for convenient support of load balance and fault tolerance as well as its easy use. We have implemented irdMA at IBM's deep learning platform. Experiment results show that our design can help deep learning applications, including image recognition and language classification, to achieve near-linear improvement on convergence speed and training accuracy acceleration by using distributedcomputing resources. From the system perspective, irdMA can efficiently utilize about 95% network bandwidth of fast networks to synchronize models among distributed training processes.

This paper presents an embedded solution of concurrent low-pass filter and sample interleaving system which process back-scattered signal of optic-fiber distributed temperature sensors at 250 MSPS. The logic design is implemented on a data acquisition platform with four ADC channels and FPGA-ARM processors;samples from two ADCs are merged and reconstructed to double the equivalent sampling rate. A low-cost FPGA processes Stokes and antiStokes signals from up to 20000 measurement locations along the fiber. In the experiments the comparison between interleaved data and original data shows that quantization noises around input signal frequency were evidently reduced but small distortions of high frequency were introduced. The concurrent filter guaranteed a SNR of 42.3 for the distributed temperature sensors.

To launch the attack, an attacker only needs a rogue reader and sends a number of random values to a target tag. Then the tag will go on updating its state until it cannot be recognized by its server. Subsequently, the attacker repeats the attack to other tags, and he will paralyze the RFID system eventually. While online services emerge in all areas of life, the voting procedure in many democracies remains paper-based as the security of current online voting technology is highly disputed. We address the issue of trustworthy online voting protocols and recall therefore their security concepts with its trust assumptions. Inspired by the Bitcoin protocol, the prospects of distributed online voting protocols are analysed. No trusted authority is assumed to ensure ballot secrecy. Further, the integrity of the voting is enforced by all voters themselves and without a weakest link, the protocol becomes more robust. We introduce a taxonomy of notions of distribution in online voting protocols that we apply on selected online voting protocols. Accordingly, blockchain-based protocols seem to be promising for online voting due to their similarity with paper-based protocols.
