As power consumption rises, it is essential to minimize line loss to maintain uninterrupted service to the end customer. Expansion of existing power plants has numerous environmental and economic hurdles, necessitating a careful analysis of local best options. As a result, several distributed Generation (DG) technologies have been integrated into the power system. This paper introduces Integrated Immune Moth Flame Evolutionary Programming (IIMFEP) as a new hybrid method for planning distributed generation in distribution systems. The IIMFEP determines the optimal sizing and placement of DG Type II that supplies reactive power under load variations to mitigate power loss in a system. Utilizing the IEEE 69-Bus Radial Distribution systems.(rdS), a comparison is made between the IIMFEP method and Moth Flame Optimization (MFO), Artificial Immune System (AIS) and Evolutionary Programming (EP). The IIMFEP outperformed the other three techniques, which managed to achieve the lowest total system power loss. As the system’s real and reactive loads increase, so does the system’s overall power loss. Therefore, DGs must inject more reactive power to compensate for the power loss. The research findings indicate that the proposed IIMFEP reduces system power losses more effectively. The proposed IIMFEP is, therefore, a viable alternative solution addressing optimal DG difficulties in rdS. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

To enhance the measurement accuracy and robustness of 3D reconstruction systems.for obtaining precise shape and position information of object surfaces, including resistance to texture interference, we propose an anti-interference structured light measurement system based on scene surface. This system addresses limitations in stripe-encoded structured light 3D measurement, such as abrupt surface reflectance changes and camera defocusing, while investigating methods for phase retrieval and surface reflectance-based phase compensation. By adjusting the projection modulation intensity of the projector, we control the intensity of the reflected light on the measurement surface, reducing the sensitivity of the camera defocusing blur coefficient to texture variations. We propose an adaptive modulation intensity adjustment method to minimize phase errors between neighboring pixels, enabling high-precision phase retrieval. Experimental results demonstrate that in simulated experiments, the root mean square errors before and after anti-interference processing are 0.2124 rad and 0.0371 rad, respectively. In real-world scenarios, the errors of different measured surfaces decrease by approximately 60%. Comparative experiments validate the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method, indicating a significant improvement in measurement accuracy. The method enhances the performance of the coded structured light in applications such as industrial measurement and precise sorting, exhibiting high robustness, accuracy, and anti-interference capabilities. © 2023 SPIE.

Blockchain and SDN are combined in the "DistB-SD Cloud" architecture to secure and execute cloud-integrated IoT data. Cloud computing Management and Services, distributed Secure Blockchain Methodology, SDN Environment, and Data Extraction comprise the architecture. SDN-enabled devices safely gather and process sensor data in the data plane, while OpenFlow and OpenStack handle network component communication in the control plane. The application layer improves network administration with dynamic configuration and data analytics. distributed nodes and hash chains ensure system integrity in blockchain-based access control and ledger maintenance. Blockchain and SDN improve security, privacy, and scalability by resisting attacks. The architecture outperforms OpenFlow-based SDN models in throughput and bandwidth, proving its stability under different network conditions. The study shows that the suggested "DistB-SD Cloud" achieves increased throughput (22.1 KB/s) and bandwidth (1.9 GB/s) when nodes and packet arrival rates increase, making it a feasible solution for safe and scalable cloud computing in IoT-based systems.

Microgrids are essential to advancing smart grids, improving cost reduction, reliability, and increased penetration of distributed generation (DGs) systems. However, integrating the bi-directional converter and distributed energy resources (DERs) poses challenges to protection coordination. Thus, a robust protection approach is essential to address the complexities associated with microgrid systems. This article proposed a novel fault detection method, incorporating superimposed positive sequence impedance to detect faults within a microgrid system. The $\Delta \mathrm{Z}$ method is numerically defined as the ratio of the sum of superimposed positive sequence impedance at the sending and receiving end of the feeder to the larger one amongst both of them. The internal and external faults are identified using the threshold value. A $\Delta \mathrm{Z}$ parameter-based method is verified across various scenarios, including numerous fault types, locations, fault resistances, and operating conditions such as capacitor switching and load changes. Furthermore, the $\Delta \mathrm{Z}$ approach displays robust performance under adverse conditions, including noise, sampling frequency variations, and simultaneous and evolving faults. The proposed scheme's effectiveness has been validated using MATLAB/SIMULINK software. This research highlights the perspective of the $\Delta \mathrm{Z}$ technique as a reliable tool for enhancing fault detection in microgrid systems.

This paper studies the globally optimal coordinated control problem of distributed autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) formation. Remarkably, the global cost function and communication topology are pregiven, which makes the traditional Riccati-based strategy inapplicable. As the main contribution of this paper, an effective design strategy for optimal distributed controller is presented. Detailedly, the formation coordination control problem of multi-AUV system is first transformed into the consensus problem of AUV formation, and the consensus state of leader-follower AUV formation is defined. Secondly, considering the relative drift and offset of AUV clock and the bounded time-varying communication delays in the interaction network, a prediction-based formation consensus controller is proposed by introducing the clock synchronization strategy. Moreover, the stability of AUV formation with this controller is proved. Then, by deeply exploring the internal relationship between global cost and relative state errors, the fully explicit formula of the cost function with respect to gain parameters is derived. Based on this, the existence of the optimal distributed controller is further proved. Simulation results show that the proposed optimal controller is effective. © 2023 SPIE.

distributed systems.are critical infrastructures for many enterprises and organizations, yet they also present challenges in fault diagnosis. To improve the efficiency and accuracy of fault diagnosis in distributed systems. this paper proposes a fault diagnosis model based on the RF-LGBM algorithm. The model first utilizes LGBM for initial diagnosis and then employs RF to reclassify the two fault types with lower accuracy. The results indicate that the RF-LGBM model achieves an AUC greater than 0.96, effectively diagnosing faults in distributed systems.

Electrical energy is vital to the sustainability and quality of life on earth. Photovoltaic (PV) and wind energy are considered as the most efficient renewable energy technologies. Greenhouse gas emissions can be reduced with the proper usage of solar energy. In this research, a hybrid distributed generation of solar and wind energy is presented using Matlab software. Wind and solar power are two examples of renewable energy which have experienced a recent increase in synthesis due to environmental, social, and technical advantages over fossil fuel-based power generation. The most promising and well-established renewable energy technologies are solar and wind energy. This paper uses MATLAB software to analyze load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, and also the real and reactive power compensation. It presents a particle swarm optimization technique for performing harmonic suppression in distribution system along with nonlinear load. Transmission loss, fuel costs, and transmission line stability are reduced by using particle swarm optimization. In the MATLAB software, the models and simulations for a practical distributed grid is used for the construction and for validating the proposed system's design validity. To make the simulation models more realistic, real load and hybrid energy data is used. The outcome of the proposed analysis is used to display the output as a waveform and this has been discussed throughout this paper. © 2022 IEEE.
