Activity studies range from detecting key indicators such as steps, active minutes, or sedentary bouts, to the recognition of physical activities such as specific fitness exercises. Such types of activity recognition rely on large amounts of data from multiple persons, especially with deep learning. However, current benchmark datasets rarely have more than a dozen participants. Once wearable devices are phased out, closed algorithms that operate on the sensor data are hard to reproduce and devices supply raw data. We present an open-source and cost-effective framework that is able to capture daily activities and routines and which uses publicly available algorithms, while avoiding any device-specific implementations. In a feasibility study, we were able to test our system in production mode. For this purpose, we distributed the *** smartwatch as well as our app to 12 study participants, who started the watches at a time of individual choice every day. The collected data was then transferred to the server at the end of each day.

Simulation technology is an important means of operating mechanistic analysis in the power system. Under the background of new power system, the disk Input/Output (I/O) between traditional simulation engines and operational analysis businesses has become a performance bottleneck in simulation analysis. To address this issue, some researchers have attempted to introduce in-memory computing (IMC) into the power system simulation. In this paper, the current application results of IMC in power system simulation is summarized, and the current research ideas is extracted. Further, the unique challenges and development trends faced by IMC in the field of the power system simulation is analyzed, providing a reference for future research directions.

distributed energy storage systems.are suitable for scenarios such as peak shaving and valley filling, new energy consumption, and emergency power supply. This article proposes a human-computer interaction design method for distributed energy storage systems. This design is capable of real-time monitoring of the operating status of distributed energy storage systems. identifying current operating conditions, and switching energy storage system operating modes according to different application scenarios, ensuring stable system operation. In addition, the human-machine interaction platform can also achieve automatic charging and discharging operation and maintenance of energy storage batteries without human supervision. Through the use of human-computer interaction platforms, complex operational processes have been effectively simplified, manual operation and maintenance costs have been saved, and the safety, stability, and reliability of system operation have been improved.

This research presents an overview of the Finite impulse response (FIR) filter architectures that utilize distributed arithmetic design (DAD). This paper reviews non-reconfigurable as well as reconfigurable FIR filter architectures using DA. General Multiply Accumulator (MAC) based FIR filter architectures require large chip area, consume more power and enforce a limitation on the order of filters. DAD technique is a bit serial operation which has high throughput processing capability, cost effective, area and power efficient. This paper presents different realizations of FIR filters using different DAD techniques namely LUT based DAD, LUT-Less DAD, shared LUT based DAD. This paper presents a comparative analysis of different DA based FIR filters and can form a basis for further work on DA based reconfigurable FIR filters

In order to fulfill the demands of stated application program contexts, the device is able to make computing procedures to disperse the work above the system and also a cloud computing server. Several choices develop within relation to what network nodes must support the delivery of all of the procedures. This particular paper concentrates on this issue by introducing a sent-out computational design and dynamically discuss the activities among the computing nodes as well as thinking about the natural variability on the context inside the locations. The approach of ours encourages the integration of the computing online resources, with externally provided cloud expertise, to satisfy contemporary program demands. The outcome of the Proposed design satisfies the shared computation level with energy efficient schemes and aslo achieved the response level in good level. © 2021 IEEE.

Climate change, soaring inflation and energy shortages are driving interest in distributed Energy Sources (DES), especially in developing countries like Pakistan, where power outages disrupt daily life. Residential communities are increasingly adopting renewable energy sources (RES) and battery storage systems.(BESS) to reduce reliance on utility grid and produce cheap energy compared to grid. The authors propose a hybrid energy system (HES) combining solar PV, a diesel generator, and BESS to reduce levelised cost of energy (LCOE) and emissions while addressing energy outages for a residential building in Lahore, Pakistan. The average daily utilization of selected building is around 463 kWh/day with a peak demand of 33 kW. Different configurations are designed and their techno-economic and environmental analysis is conducted using HOMER Software. In one scenario combining PV-DG-BESS-Grid, the lowest LCOE of $0.0120 was achieved, but it resulted in higher emissions due to DG dependence. A PV-BESS-Grid configuration had a slightly higher LCOE of $0.0124 but significantly lower emissions. Sensitivity analysis also revealed that PV-BESS-Grid system to be most robust among all the designed systems. © The Institution of Engineering & Technology 2025.

High-precision prediction of distributed photovoltaic power is crucial for the secure and stable operation of new power systems. The conventional prediction models based on forward neural networks or regression analyses lack historical memory, which result in low robustness and weak adaptive ability. Aiming at this issue, this paper proposes a short-term prediction method of distributed PV power generation based on the long short-term memory (LSTM) network. Firstly, this paper employs the quartile method to identify abnormal values in the dataset, and utilizes the Lagrangian interpolation method to supplement and modify them. Subsequently, a PV power prediction model based on LSTM network is developed and compared with the prediction results of random forest (RF) and multi-layer perceptron (MLP) regression models. The simulation results demonstrate that the LSTM network-based distributed PV power short-term power prediction model could effectively reflect the dynamic characteristics of the time-series data with a high level of accuracy. The prediction results provide promising data support to the power dispatch department.

The distributed electric propulsion system utilizes electric power to drive multiple thrusters as the aircraft’s propulsion devices. The structure design of the electric propulsion system is complex, with numerous components, and the calculation of the system’s reliability evaluation is extremely tedious, making it a difficult point in the reliability evaluation process. This paper is based on the model of the distributed electric propulsion system and uses the GO method combined with the state probability matrix algorithm to perform reliability modeling and simulation calculations on the system. A multi-state SIMULINK simulation model of the system is established in MATLAB. The simulation model’s calculation results are consistent with the results obtained through manual calculation using probability formula algorithms, which verifies that the simulation model can improve calculation efficiency and accuracy while ensuring the correctness of the calculation results, providing a basis for the reliability evaluation of distributed electric aircraft propulsion systems.
