As global warming continues to accelerate, distributed generators based on renewable energy sources play an important role in power generation. Wind, solar, diesel generators, genets and battery storage systems.will provide large amounts of electricity in the near future. Powered by a variety of renewable and unconventional micro power sources, these distributed power sources offer benefits such as environmental friendliness, scalability, and adaptability, making them an attractive option for modern power system designs. A micro grid is a system of consistent loads and DG that operate as a single manageable unit. This setup reduces inefficiencies caused by multiple reverse power conversions in conventional alternating current or direct current grids. It also helps integrate variable renewable energy sources and loads, whether alternating current or direct current, into power systems. Regulars can modify the micro grid to meet specific needs, such as improving local reliability, reducing feeder losses, providing local voltage support, improving efficiency through waste heat utilization, reducing voltage sag or Providing uninterrupted power. Solar panels, wind turbines, generators and batteries provide electricity in these micro grids. The control system of the inverter has been updated to allow correct conversion from alternating current to direct current and direct current to Alternating current. Furthermore, the performance of the optimal fuzzy controller is equivalent to that of the proportional-integral controller.

The use of autonomous vehicles rapidly growing, especially iu smart cities. Autonomous vehicles exchange information with an external network through wireless communication, and hence security and privacy challenges become a major challenge for all user of autonomous vehicles. Attackers try to exploit the vulnerabilities in the wireless network that connect autonomous vehicles these by performing different types of attacks such as denial of service attack (DDOS) and injection attacks. To mitigate the catastrophic effect of these attacks, intrusion detection process is a must. In this paper, A novel intrusion-detection method is proposed to detect distributed denial of service attack (DDOS) in the wireless network of autonomous vehicles. In this method, the wireless network intrusion detection system (WNIDS) is applied on "CICDDoS2019" dataset for training and testing our model. First the dataset is cleaned and the most important features are selected using recursive feature elimination method which decrease the number of features to only 8 features. The reduced dataset is tested by two machine learning classifiers (Random Forest (RF) and Stochastic Gradient Descent (SGD)). The evaluation results showed that both RF and SGD classifiers can be used to detect DDOS attack with an accuracy of 99% using only 8 features, which were selected using the proposed feature selection method. Relying only on 8 features only make the proposed method to be applicable to any IoT application such as internet of autonomous vehicles. © IET conference proceedings 2022.

With the rapid development of power grid engineering, especially the rapid development of extra-high voltage engineering, the multi-source heterogeneous investigation data is on the increase, and the traditional investigation data storage methods can no longer meet the basic needs. Based on this situation, this paper adopts the consistent hash algorithm to achieve horizontal elasticity expansion of the storage system, and combines the virtual nodes of consistent hash with the weighted polling algorithm to improve the storage strategy of distributed file system (HDFS) under the Hadoop platform, to achieve balanced effect of distributed data storage. Experimental results show that the distributed storage algorithm for heterogeneous survey data from multiple sources proposed in this paper reduces the cluster load difference to different degrees under different conditions, and shows better load balance performance compared to HDFS and ordinary consistent hashing algorithms, which proves that the algorithm can effectively reduce the load difference between cluster nodes and satisfy the needs of distributed storage of power grid engineering survey data.

Aiming at the multi-dimensional feature of distributed system in military and related fields, a modeling method is proposed and corresponding graphical representation is given. Based on the "4+1" view modeling method, the method focuses on increasing the modeling ability of each view to multi-dimensional feature. It proposes a multidimensional relationship coordination mechanism based on fault type transfer, and a multi-dimensional feature multi view coupling method based on multi view component *** realizes the expansion of the "4+1" modeling method to the multi-dimensional feature modeling ability of the system. Finally, the feasibility and modeling ability of the method are verified by a relevant example. © 2021 IEEE

With the ever-increasing pace of research and high volume of scholarly communication, scholars face a daunting task. Not only must they keep up with the growing literature in their own and related fields, scholars increasingly also need to rebut pseudo-science and disinformation. These needs have motivated an increasing focus on computational methods for enhancing search, summarization, and analysis of scholarly documents. However, the various strands of research on scholarly document processing remain fragmented. To reach out to the broader NLP and AI/ML community, pool distributed efforts in this area, and enable shared access to published research, we held the 3rd Workshop on Scholarly Document Processing (SDP) at COLING as a hybrid event (https://***/2022/). The SDP workshop consisted of a research track, three invited talks and five Shared Tasks: 1) MSLR22: Multi-Document Summarization for Literature Reviews, 2) DAGPap22: Detecting automatically generated scientific papers, 3) SV-Ident 2022: Survey Variable Identification in Social Science Publications, 4) SKGG: Scholarly Knowledge Graph Generation, 5) MuP 2022: Multi Perspective Scientific Document Summarization. The program was geared towards NLP, information retrieval, and data mining for scholarly documents, with an emphasis on identifying and providing solutions to open challenges. © 2022 COLING. Designing a distributed Model Predictive Control (MPC) system for street lighting is characterized by optimization computational complexity, communication burden, lack of tailored reference setpoint of each lamp, etc. This paper proposes a distributed-MPC approach for street lighting with an adaptive dimming profile. The street is first divided into zones and each zone may contain one or more lamps. The adaptive dimming profile is generated within a simulation environment based on the local data of weather, pedestrian, traffic, and original dimming profile. Each zone has its own MPC controller which calculates optimal lighting control actions, and it may have its own reference setpoint. These zones, and thus the controllers, communicate with each other mutually and iteratively toward a joint lighting energy efficiency goal of the whole street. Only essential data is transmitted to the central controller. To verify the validity and effectiveness of the proposed approach, a one year simulation is conducted using MATLAB/Simulink environment. Simulation results show that the proposed distributed-MPC algorithm can save up to 34.85% of the operating costs. The results also showed that the proposed algorithm can achieve a good performance of the whole system with limited burden of communications.

This article presents an efficient downlink zeroforcing (ZF) precoding technique that utilizes the twoDimensional Direction of Arrival (2D-DOA) beam-spaced method to maximize the energy efficiency of multi-cell massive- MIMO systems. The approach for estimating the critical elevation and azimuth angles of detected signals from distributed sources in multi-cell massive-MIMO systems.is also detailed. A mathematical model for energy efficiency of downlink ZF precoding is developed using these critical angles, and its performance is evaluated and compared to conventional 2D-DOA methods. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method significantly improves energy efficiency with a gain of approximately 98.3% compared to the deterministic ZF precoding method.

This complete work on innovative practices presents a proposal for inserting extension through actions in projects. The current university format in Brazil considers the in-dissociability between teaching, research, and extension. The first two are the most known dimensions, and extension constitutes an interdisciplinary, educational policy, cultural, scientific, and technological process, promoting the transforming interaction between the higher education institutions and society's other sectors, through the knowledge production and application, in permanent joint with research and teaching. In 2014, Brazil's Department of Education instituted the Education National Plan (in Portuguese, 'Plano Nacional de Educação' (PNE)), which is still valid until 2023. One of its goals defines that at least 10% of the curricular credits for undergraduate courses must be integrated through extension programs or projects, prioritizing areas of great social relevance. At the same time, since 2019, Education National Conceil has instituted the new National Curricular Guidelines for the Engineering Undergraduate Courses, shifting the focus from the technical content to a new approach considering skills and competencies with the same importance for student education. Within this context, the challenge was to include extension activities, competencies, and skills in the curriculum of three undergraduate courses: computing Engineering, Automation Engineering, and Information systems. These courses are in an environment where the project culture is well-established, together with two graduate programs in the field of computing. Moreover, most of these are research projects, where some activities can be characterized as extension. Also, professors of these courses are involved in specific extension projects.
