Edge computing has been recently introduced as an intermediary between Internet of Things (IoT) deployments and the cloud, providing data or control facilities to participating IoT devices. This includes actively supporting IoT resource discovery, something particularly pertinent when building large-scale, distributed and heterogeneous IoT systems. Moreover, edge devices supporting resource discovery are required to meet the stringent requirements prevalent in IoT systems.including high availability, low-latency, and privacy. To this end, we present a resource discovery platform for IoT resources situated at the edge of the network. Our approach aims at providing a seamless discovery process that is able to (i) extend the covered area by deploying additional edge nodes and (ii) assist in the development of new IoT applications that target already available resources. Within our proposed platform, devices located in a certain proximity connect and form an edge-to-edge network that we call an edge neighborhood - our edge-to-edge metadata replication platform enables participating devices to discover available resources. Our solution is characterized by absence of centralization, as edge nodes exchange metadata about available resources within their scope in a peer-to-peer manner.

This paper introduces a weighted consensus control for multi-drone system for power line inspection in a dynamic networked computing environment. The system achieves global load balancing by transferring data with neighbor drones. Algorithms are introduced and their robustness properties against system dynamics are established. Examples and case studies demonstrate the feasibility in power line fault detection applications using multi-drone systems.

Wireless Ad Hoc Networks are gaining popularity nowadays due to easiness in deployment and management of the network. They are self organizing wireless networks formed by mobile nodes on-the-fly without using any fixed infrastructure. They are widely useful in military based applications, emergency search and rescue operation during disaster management or even communication in big superstores. However, due to their decentralized and distributed operation, security is a major concern in these type of networks. Limited computational capability of the nodes and lower battery backup created added constraints which further reduces the possibility of using cryptographic techniques in securing these networks. Availability is one of the security requirements needed for any wireless networks. Threat to availability is Denial of Service (DoS) attack. Flooding attack is one of various DoS attacks that can be launched from various layer of protocol stack. This paper is intended to provide a review of Route Request (RREQ) flooding attack and their state-of-the-art remedial measures in Wireless Ad Hoc Networks. © 2020 IEEE.

Network coding is considered to be a reliable strategy for boosting the performance of wireless networks by injecting multiple packets into one transmission. It will provide performance improvement in turnout and energy potency. Network committal to writing was originally projected for wired networks. Recently there has been an impermanent version of network committal to writing that is mainly used to improve the performance of wireless networks. The sooner formula provided increased performance in Wireless Networks. But it possesses the bound set of limitations that incorporate the committal to writing chance depends on identified and finalized routes, and also the committal to writing structure is restricted. This article aims to overcome the problem mentioned above and to propose a competent method to be implemented. The associated automobile generative committal to writing technique will increase the performance by characterizing the possibility of codes and the impossibility of coding methods. Additionally, the projected method will sight committal to writing methods with the entire route. The projected method additionally provides the notion of the time delay to spot the trail and capable of examining the given two methods and choose the foremost effective one. It additionally provides a guarantee network committal to writing within the case of node failure. The projected method is used to analyze the victimization of the NS-2 package and also the performance remained productive. © 2020 IEEE.
