the growing popularity of data-intensive applications in cloud computing necessitates a cost-effective approach to harnessing distributed processing capabilities. However, the wide variety of instance types and configurations available can lead to substantial costs if not selected based on the parallel workload requirements, such as CPU and memory usage and thread scalability. this situation underscores the need for scalable and economical infrastructure that effectively balances parallel workloads’ performance and expenses. To tackle this issue, this paper comprehensively analyzes performance, costs, and trade-offs across 18 parallel workloads utilizing 52 high-performance computing (HPC) optimized instances from three leading cloud providers. Our findings reveal that no single instance type can simultaneously offer the best performance and the lowest costs across all workloads. Instances that excel in performance do not always provide the best cost efficiency, while the most affordable options often struggle to deliver adequate performance. Moreover, we demonstrate that by customizing instance selection to meet the specific needs of each workload, users can achieve up to 81.2% higher performance and reduce costs by 95.5% compared to using a single instance type for every workload. the evolution of the smart grid has been driven by the emergence of Internet of things devices, coupled with advancements in powerful Information and Communications Technology and the integration of distributed energy sources at the edge. However, as the amount of collected data grows, there's a strong need to shift the computational load of energy management services as close as possible to the data generation source to be able to meet the time and latency constraints. To support the offloading and orchestration of computation workload in a smart grid, we propose a knowledge graph model designed to semantically represent relevant information and knowledge about the types of resources available from edge devices to cloud servers that can be further utilized for processing tasks. Each model layer comprises specialized nodes interlinked through a hierarchical structure and provides context-rich information on the components of the electrical grid infrastructure, such as substations, renewable energy sources, and consumers at the intersection of the data with energy networks. For evaluation, we have defined rules covering a broad spectrum of energy applications, showing that the model serves as a foundation for enhancing the management of smart grid systems by also considering edge computation requirements. © 2024 IEEE.

In order to address the increasingly significant role played by the monitoring of health issues during the times of growing healthcare challenges, this research paper will discuss more about the use of audio signals for diagnosing respiratory diseases by the means of analyzing of cough sounds, breathing patterns, and other audio cues. However, the vision of this work comes from the desire to make a non-invasive and efficient diagnostic process to overcome the difficulty of the traditional invasive ways of imageries. Combining the machine learning techniques using Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC) for feature extraction we aimed to construct a powerful tool that can do health state labels using the audio signals with accuracy. In the end, our multi-classifier approach in conjunction with accuracy measurements reveal the promising applications of machine learning algorithms to accurately differentiate between various respiratory diseases, thereby opening the avenue for more robust health monitoring systems. © 2024 IEEE.

the significant increase in the amount of generated data provides potential for organizations to improve performance. Accordingly, Data Science (DS), which encompasses the methods to extract knowledge from data, has increased in popularity. Nevertheless, enterprises often fail to reap the benefits from data as they suffer from high failure rates in the conducted DS projects. Literature suggests that the main reason for the lack of success is shortcomings in the current pool of DS project management methodologies. Hence, new procedures for DS are required. Consequently, in this paper, the outline for a model for DS project standardization and automation is discussed. Following a summary of DS project challenges and success factors, the concept, which will incorporate MLOps and cloud technologies, and its individual components to address these issues are described on a high level. therefore, the foundation for further research endeavors in this area is presented. the amount of people who are suffering from breast cancer has increased over the years. the people affected by breast cancer have an impact on their physical and emotional health. Detecting breast cancer at an initial stage is very important to prevent the affected ones but doing it at an early stage is a hectic task for healthcare systems as they have to perform comprehensive screening, diagnosis treatment, and support services. Regular screening mammograms and clinical breast examinations improve the chance of survival. Worldwide detection of breast cancer in women remains difficult even though there are advancements in the technology of diagnosis and treatment. To tackle the issue, this study performs multiple segmentation models on Ultrasound scans that predict cancer at an initial stage. the proposed model's workflow is segmentation models, developing the ML models, and then followed by explanation using Explainable AI libraries. © 2024 IEEE.

An essential component of many user applications today, as well as security surveillance systems, text recognition, and some diagnosis for diseases from few scans like CT or MRI, is object identification, a computer vision problem. Also if we can see one of the most important components like object detection which can help detect any object etc. the traffic sign recognition is also a main important task which have a crucial role in intelligent autonomous vehicles. In our work we have implemented different models of YOLO v5 (You only look once) algorithm for traffic sign detection. To train yolo algorithm for the traffic sign detection on German Traffic Sign detection benchmark which have multiple scenario of images like moving vehicle images, clear images, uncleared images, and different environmental conditional images all these will help in to detect the four different classes and improve the mAP of the model with the existing work and comparing results of different models of Yolo v5 algorithm with the existing work. © Grenze Scientific Society, 2024.

With the rapid development and application of distributed systems and Ethernet technology, higher requirements have been put forward for the clock synchronization of the global network. the IEEE1588 protocol is able to achieve high-precision clock synchronization, which meets the time accuracy requirements of real-time distributed systems. therefore, this paper introduces the principle of the IEEE1588 clock synchronization technology and constructs a test environment to analyze the clock synchronization accuracy it can achieve from both theoretical calculation and experimental test. the results show that IEEE1588 clock synchronization can achieve sub-microsecond level time synchronization, with high-precision clock synchronization capability, and can be widely used in high real-time distributed systems. © 2025 SPIE.
