the significance of certificates issued by educational institutions for graduates cannot be overstated, as they serve as crucial documents for verification purposes in various contexts such as employment and passport verification. However, traditional verification methods are often costly and inefficient. this research paper aims to introduce a blockchain-based framework for certificate verification, leveraging features such as hashing, digital signatures, and public/private key cryptography inherent in blockchain technology. By incorporating additional security measures like biometrics and encryption for secure document storage using IPFS (Inter-Planetary file System), this framework ensures the integrity and authenticity of certificates. the utilization of blockchain not only enhances the security of data storage due to its immutable nature but also streamlines the verification process, offering a cost-effective and efficient alternative to traditional methods.

the need for safe, scalable, and effective cloud storage solutions has increased in a time when digital information is essential to society. Let us introduce you to Google Drive, a reliable cloud storage solution that is a must-have for both people and businesses. Nonetheless, concerns about data security, privacy, and single points of failure have been raised by Google Drive’s centralization. With the goal of creating a more robust and resilient cloud storage environment, this project explores the decentralisation of Google Drive in an effort to allay these worries. the primary aim is to develop and execute a decentralised system by utilising innovative technologies like distributed file systems, peer-to-peer networks, and blockchain to transform the traditional paradigm of cloud storage. the trip begins with a detailed analysis of cloud storage systems as they exist now, highlighting the benefits and drawbacks of centralised designs. the theoretical underpinnings of decentralisation are then thoroughly examined, including important ideas, difficulties, and possible solutions. Important lessons are learned from current decentralised storage systems, offering a sophisticated perspective on their advantages and disadvantages. the development of a decentralised Google Drive prototype is key to the endeavour. In order to strengthen data integrity, security, and user privacy, this project seamlessly integrates blockchain technology. the implementation of a novel peer-to-peer network design distributes data among several nodes and eliminates the need for a central server. Furthermore, an advanced distributed file system is utilised to maximise the effectiveness of data retrieval and storage.

the emergence of new storage media technologies speeds up IoT terminal improvement. In this paper, an IoT terminal PCRAM-based storage and computation integrated data management method is proposed. the method not only adopts a storage and computation integrated variable index scheme as cornerstone for hybrid memory management, but also expands the traditional FAT file system to achieve management of the storage and computation integrated variables in a file system. Testing results of our prototype implementation show that the performance of the method improves the performance of IoT terminal significantly. Power consumption can be improved more than 20% by using the hybrid memory management of the proposed method in typical application scenario. Data throughput by using new file data access interfaces(sc_store()/sc_ load()) within the method are also extremely enhanced: in contrast to traditional file wirte()/read() interface function, the performance of 50KB (and above) file data write improved 140 times and the performance of file data read is improved more than 6 times.

In the ever-evolving information age, the challenges posed by the exponential growth of data have led to innovative solutions that leverage the power of technology. this paper introduces a comprehensive data sharing platform that seamlessly integrates blockchain and InterPlanetary file System (IPFS) technologies to address the complex issues of data sharing and storage. the approach begins by establishing an alliance blockchain, employing a consensus mechanism rooted in computing power competition to maintain data integrity within the blockchain. Simultaneously, the IPFS system is harnessed for data storage, utilizing distributed storage, file splitting, and splicing techniques. the resultant data sharing platform consists of distinct modules, including blockchain, IPFS, encryption and decryption, and fast retrieval, providing end-to-end data security and accessibility. Furthermore, the paper delves into the practical implementation of this technology by examining a course sharing project that leverages IPFS and Ethereum blockchain. By utilizing IPFS as an access medium, the paper efficiently reduces storage costs and enhances storage efficiency, effectively addressing the challenge of managing extensive course data. the incorporation of Ethereum blockchain technology ensures the elimination of single points of failure and establishes a robust transaction mechanism that incentivizes course users to engage in sharing and enhances course liquidity. this innovative amalgamation of blockchain and IPFS not only resolves the data sharing conundrum but also guarantees secure, decentralized, and efficient data storage and exchange in an era defined by the relentless growth of digital information.

Digitization of supply chain management comes with the promise of improved transparency, traceability, and predictability. this paper introduces a concrete and novel framework for supply chain monitoring by using Internet of things (IoT) sensors and blockchain technologies. the implementation is publicly available. the current proposal is an improvement from our previous work. the framework uses IPFS (InterPlanetary file System) to obtain a distributed storage and in the same time to optimize blockchain transactions. the blockchain uses a Proof of Authority consensus mechanism. We conducted a comparative analysis with a previous work and obtained a 40% reduction in transaction costs.

Healthcare record administration faces many obstacles, including data manipulation, security vulnerabilities, and the risks associated with centralized storage. To securely store and manage health records, we provide an innovative system that uniquely combines blockchain technology with the Interplanetary file System (IPFS). In contrast to conventional methods, our strategy makes use of a private blockchain network that was created in collaboration with Ganache to establish a decentralized ledger that guarantees data integrity and immutability for each and every transaction through cryptographic security. this system is unique in that it uses IPFS for decentralized file storage, which makes it possible to distribute and retrieve big medical records quickly and efficiently while safeguarding sensitive data from single-point failures. Our front-end interface, created with Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, offers a user-friendly experience for both patients and healthcare professionals. Furthermore, the blockchain network and IPFS are smoothly integrated into our ***-built backend. the shortcomings of traditional health record management systems are addressed by this special combination, which improves security, accessibility, and transparency. Our technology protects the security and confidentiality of sensitive medical data while promoting interoperability and collaboration among healthcare stakeholders.

the key-value separation is renowned for its significant mitigation of the write amplification inherent in traditional LSM trees. However, KV separation potentially increases performance overhead in the management of Value region, especially for garbage collection (GC) operation that is used to reduce the redundant space occupation. In response, many efforts have been made to optimize the GC mechanism for KV separation. However, our analysis indicates that such solution based on trade-offs between CPU and I/O overheads cannot simultaneously satisfy the three requirements of KV separated systems in terms of throughput, tail latency, and space usage. this limitation hinders their real-world *** this paper, we introduce AegonKV, a "three-birds-one-stone" solution that comprehensively enhances the throughput, tail latency, and space usage of KV separated systems. AegonKV first proposes a SmartSSD-based GC offloading mechanism to enable asynchronous GC operations without competing with LSM read/write for bandwidth or CPU. AegonKV leverages offload-friendly data structures and hardware/ software execution logic to address the challenges of GC offloading. Experiments demonstrate that AegonKV achieves the largest throughput improvement of 1.28-3.3 times, a significant reduction of 37%-66% in tail latency, and 15%-85% in space overhead compared to existing KV separated systems.

this paper presents the first large-scale field study of NAND-based SSDs in enterprise storage systems (in contrast to drives in distributed data center storage systems). the study is based on a very comprehensive set of field data, covering 1.4 million SSDs of a major storage vendor (NetApp). the drives comprise three different manufacturers, 18 different models, 12 different capacities, and all major flash technologies (SLC, cMLC, eMLC, 3D-TLC). the data allows us to study a large number of factors that were not studied in previous works, including the effect of firmware versions, the reliability of TLC NAND, and correlations between drives within a RAID system. this paper presents our analysis, along with a number of practical implications derived from it. Developing intelligent healthcare solutions in the quickly changing world of communication technologies-driven smart cities depends heavily on data. Our work aims to protect user data, which is essential to intelligent healthcare in these kinds of urban areas, in the face of mounting worries about data privacy. However, serious privacy issues are raised by the sensitive nature of health data. Federated Learning (FL) is a potentially useful method that allows cooperative model training over several servers or devices while maintaining localized training data. However, serious privacy issues are raised by the sensitive nature of health data. In this work, we present a novel framework to improve secure healthcare data analytics in Blockchain systems by integrating FL with blockchain technology and the Interplanetary file System (IPFS). To balance privacy and data utility, our method makes use of adaptive noise distribution techniques and dynamic customization. IPFS aids in lowering the cost of data storage, while blockchain technology offers safe and transparent model update aggregation and storage. the results of our experiments show that our approach maintains excellent accuracy with 99.04% for healthcare data security analytics tasks and provides strong privacy protection against different types of attacks. Blockchain integration using Ethereum and IPFS demonstrates the usefulness and viability of our platform.
