We investigate two of the language classes intensively studied by the algorithmic learning theory community in the context of learning with correction queries. More precisely, we show that any pattern language can be inferred in polynomial time in length of the pattern by asking just a linear number of correction queries, and that k-reversible languages are efficiently learnable within this setting. Note that although the class of all patternlanguages is learnable with membership queries, this cannot be done in polynomial time. Moreover, the class of k-reversible languages is not learnable at all using membership queries only.

this paper presents a wideband linearly polarized antenna with a stable omnidirectional radiation pattern. the proposed technique combines linear parasitic radiators with a main dipole to create and control additional resonant modes. this enlarges the impedance bandwidth while maintaining linear polarization and stable radiation characteristics over a broad-covered band. Simulations and experiments confirm these results on a fabricated prototype showing a wide impedance bandwidth of 41% (0.65 - 0.99 GHz), a stable omnidirectional radiation pattern, and a high efficiency of 80%.

the paper discusses the method for determining radiation pattern of an array mounted on a conical structure. Two types of antenna elements are considered: waveguide openings and microstrip patch antennas. the analysis method is based on the modal representation of the EM field, i.e. the solution procedure takes advantage of representing the fields as a sum of spherical harmonics with unknown amplitudes. By introducing normalized associate Legendre functions, together with pre-calculation of terms that depend only on conical geometry, an accurate and efficient program has been developed. A comparison was made between the calculated radiation pattern and the measurements of different waveguide and patch array configurations. All the considered results showed high accuracy of the developed method.

Safety architecture patterns provide knowledge about large scale design decisions for safety-critical systems. they provide good ways to avoid, detect, and handle faults in software or hardware. In this paper we revise existing architectural safety patterns and organize them to build up a pattern system. We add Goal Structuring Notation diagrams to the patterns to provide a structured overview of their architectural decisions. Based on these diagrams we analyze and present relationships between the patterns. the diagrams can also be used to argue about a systems's safety, which we show with an example.
