In ultra dense networks (UDNs), base stations (BSs) with mobile edge computing (MEC) function can provide low latency and powerful computation to energy and computation constrained mobile users. Meanwhile, existing wireless access-oriented mobility management (MM) schemes are not suitable for high mobility scenarios in UDNs. In this paper, a novel dynamic programming based MM (DPMM) scheme is proposed to optimize delay performance considering both wireless transmission and task computation under an energy consumption constraint. Based on markov decision process (MDP) and dynamic programming (DP), DPMM utilizes statistic system information to get a stationary optimal policy and can work in an offline mode. cooperative transmission is further considered to enhance uplink data transmission rate. Simulations show that the proposed DPMM scheme can achieve close-to-optimal delay performance while consume less energy. Moreover, the handover times are effectively reduced so that quality of service (QoS) is improved. © ICST Institute for computer Sciences, social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering 2020.

social norms as a regulatory mechanism often carry more weight than formal law-particularly in contexts when legal rules are gray. In online creative communities that focus on remix, community members must navigate copyright complexities regarding how they are permitted to re-use existing content. This paper focuses on one such community-transformative fandom-where strong social norms regulate behavior beyond copyright law. We conducted interviews with fan creators about their "unwritten rules" surrounding copying and remix and identified highly consistent social norms that have been remarkably effective in policing this community. In examining how these norms have formed over time, and how they are enforced, we conclude that the effectiveness of norms in encouraging cooperative behavior is due in part to a strong sense of social identity within the community. Furthermore, our findings suggest the benefits of creating formal rules within a community that support existing norms, rather than imposing rules from external sources. © 2019 Copyright held by the owner/author(s). Automatic patent classification based on the TRIZ inventive principles is essential for patent management and industrial analysis. However, acquiring labels for deep learning methods is extraordinarily difficult and costly. This paper proposes a new two-stage semi-supervised learning framework called TRIZ-ESSL, which stands for Enhanced Semi-Supervised Learning for TRIZ. TRIZ-ESSL makes full use of both labeled and unlabeled data to improve the prediction performance. TRIZ-ESSL takes the advantages of semi-supervised sequence learning and mixed objective function, a combination of cross-entropy, entropy minimization, adversarial and virtual adversarial loss functions. Firstly, TRIZ-ESSL uses unlabeled data to train a recurrent language model. Secondly, TRIZ-ESSL initializes the weights of the LSTM-based model with the pre-trained recurrent language model and then trains the text classification model using mixed objective function on both labeled and unlabeled sets. On 3 TRIZ-based classification tasks, TRIZ-ESSL outperforms the current popular semi-supervised training methods and Bert in terms of accuracy score. © 2020 acm.

Information hiding based on text has become the hottest and most discussed aspect of steganography in recent years, because it eases communication and consumes less memory compared to other types. The lack of redundant information in a text file makes it difficult to hide secret bits into a carrier message (CM) without being noticeable. Therefore, the total amount of hidden bits embeddable in a CM contributes immensely to the system efficiency. Today, individuals share information online with the fear that it could be destroyed by third parties. To achieve a structured text hiding system with high embedding capacity, imperceptibility, robustness and high security concurrently, securing sensitive data through encryption is not enough because attackers are able to suspect that a communication channel exist between the sender and the receiver. Therefore, this paper combines both steganography and cryptography to protect our shared information and to achieve a strong and highly secured non understandable text hiding system. We proposed a method which uses pairs of Zero Width Characters (ZWC) to represent each 4-bit binary classification which provides a high embedding capacity and reduces computational complexity than previous methods. The embedding is done by placing the invisible strings of the secret message (SM) into a single position of the open spaces in the CM which provides high invisibility compared to the reviewed methods. One Time Pad (OTP) and XOR bitwise encryption is used to encrypt the inverted message before the embedding process which provides end-to-end security to the system. The experiment shows that the proposed method provides a very high embedding capacity and high robustness than other literature reviewed. © 2020 IEEE.

Multi-UAV cooperative Path Planning is important for improving the efficiency of UAVs in completing reconnaissance, surveillance, and search missions due to its parallelism and fault tolerance. This paper investigates the problem of path planning for multi-mission UAVs under complex constraints, and proposes a new method of UAV path optimization that minimizes task completion time. First, with models of separated regions and heterogeneous UAVs, the objective function and flight constraints are analyzed to fully search the best solutions for the path planning problem. Then, considering a dense target group model, a path planning method based on an Improved Ant Colony System algorithm (IACS) is proposed. The IACS algorithm is able to achieve an efficiency enhancement in time consumption on targets detection and minimize the total time of UAV mission execution by adopting a novel target exploring scheme called BI-directional simplified search strategy in the target selection process. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified through simulation experiments with randomly generated targets. © 2020 IEEE.

Weifang is an emerging electronic-information-industry city in China. The fast development of local industries raise huge demands on application-oriented technical talents of various fields, among which-artificial intelligence (AI) takes the leading position. However, it is a challenging task to train AI talents due to the complexity of AI. We investigate on training AI talents in application-oriented universities like Weifang University. We propose to integrate theoretical knowledge and hands-on ability to support the growth of comprehensive ability. Subsequently, we factorize the knowledge and ability structure into small pieces to lower the learning barrier. Based on these two solutions, we try to cultivate the engineering thinking and ability of students. Our practice in technical competition and research projects show the effectiveness of the solutions. © 2021 acm.

Aiming at the inaccurate position of BBox (Bounding-Box) in road target detection of YOLOv3 and its low real-time performance, this paper proposes an improved road target detection network YOLO-G (YOLO-with-GIoU) based on YOLOv3. The prediction accuracy of the model is improved by introducing GIoU (Generalized Intersection over Union) as an optimization goal. The Batch Normalization (BN) layer is consolidated into the convolutional layer, which improves the inference speed of the preceding item of the network to speed up the detection speed. Experiments show that in the road target detection scene, The FPS of YOLO-G under GTX1080Ti graphics card is 62.5 frames/second, which is 10.53 frames/second higher than that of YOLOv3. When the IoU threshold value is 0.5 and 0.8, the accuracy is 87.93% and 56.82%, respectively, which are 0.74% and 11.11% higher than that of YOLOv3. © 2020 IEEE.

PageRank has a wide applications in online social networks and serves as an important benchmark to examine graph processing frameworks. Many efforts have been made to improve the computation efficiency of PageRank in shared-memory platforms, where a single machine can be sufficiently powerful to handle a large-scale graph. Existing methods, however, still suffer from synchronization issues and irregular memory accesses, which will deteriorate their overall performance. In this paper, we present an accelerated parallel PageRank computation approach, named APPR. By investigating the characteristics of parallel PageRank computation and degree distributions of social network graphs, APPR proposes a series of optimization techniques to improve the efficiency of PageRank computation. Specifically, a destination-centric graph partitioning scheme is designed to avoid the synchronization issues when concurrently updating the common vertex data. By exploiting power-law structure of social network graphs, APPR can intelligently schedule the computations of vertices to save computing operations. The vertex messages are adjusted by APPR for transmission to further improve the locality of memory accesses. Empirical evaluations are performed based on a set of large real-world graphs. Experimental results show that APPR significantly outperforms the state-of-the-art methods, with on average 2.4x speedup in execution time and 16.4x reduction in DRAM communication. © 2020 IEEE.

The emergence of various interest-based online communities has led to the popularity of new forms of distributed creative teamwork such as citizen science, crowdsourcing, and open source software development. These new phenomena further complicate the context and content of distributed creative teamwork: what are the characteristics of these new forms of creative teams? And how do they shape people's perceptions and social experiences of distributed creative teams? In this paper, we report our empirical research of the team characteristics and practices in a creativity-centric technology community (i.e., independent [indie] game development) in hopes of exploring these questions. Our findings show that 1) indie game development teams are formed upon shared aspirations and use various strategies to collaborate with friends or online strangers;and their team practices are achieved through a balance between individual creativity and collective vision as well as a collaborative learning for problem solving and self-improvement;and 2) these teams mediate new forms of social interaction and collaborative experiences, featuring a mix of online comradery and weak social ties, and a mix of self-confidence and self-confliction. Using this new dataset and research context, we confirm and extend existing theories of distributed creative teams in CSCW. We also argue that studying these small-scale, self-selected, and interest-based teams can inform the design of collaborative systems to support various creative teams' social needs.

Programming has the potential to bring to life that which is most minute in man's imagination. Imagination, however, it will all remain, if no appropriate intervention is made to facilitate the learning of programming. Research studies show that the traditional, face-to-face method of teaching does not provide an enabling environment for learning programming. Hence, outside-classroom intervention is called for. Certain previous studies have tried to build new tools to support the outside-classroom intervention. However, there a need to study the use of existing, familiar and relaxing environments, such as social media, for this intervention. In this paper, we investigate the capability of a social media platform to support the learning of programming among learners in the developing world. We chose the WhatsApp platform as the starting point to uncover these design needs. We also reflected on the lessons learnt using this intervention.
