To coordinate the facilities in all circumstances for maximum productivity, these systems need to equal, in sophistication and speed of response, the hardware involved. A suite of programs have been developed at NEL to assist industry in doing this. A prototype scheduling/management/simulation system is implemented where the minute-to-minute problems of controlling FMS can be experienced and tackled.
