Accurate positioning of screen primitives is crucial in the machine vision-based automatic detection of intelligent water meter LCD screens. Detecting edge details of the LCD screen using the A component of the LAB color space improves the accuracy of LCD screen area positioning. This approach reduces background interference from Gaussian noise, non-uniform lighting, specular reflection, and local highlights. This study proposes a technique that combines NL-means and Sauvola local threshold segmentation methods to locate LCD screen areas and graphics elements. The experimental results indicate that this technique satisfies the defect detection criteria for smart water meter LCD screens set by the enterprise. The LCD screen detection tool extracted a smart water meter LCD screen image with 98.4% accuracy in LCD screen element positioning. Compared to the median filter method, this represents a significant improvement, and the combination with the maximum between-class variance method further increases accuracy by 2.7%. © 2023 IEEE.

In the last decade Hospital Information Systems (HIS) received extensive research attention because international studies [16] [3] show how the introduction of HISs contributes to general errors reduction and could result in substantial improvement in patient safety. This paper introduces FIDMED, a Hospital Information Systems (HIS) based on a deep integration between hardware and software, both of them specifically designed and implemented by Kiranet I.C.T. Research Centre. It comprises a web based clinical application, named FIDCARE, a set of smart medical carts, smart medical cabinets and smart pocket dispenser, respectively named FIDRUN, FIDROK and FIDRAY. From a high-level user perspective, FIDMED aims to: a) reduction of the healthcare services clinical risk, b) cost control and cost reduction and c) improvement in the overall quality assurance of clinical processes. From a technical point of view, FIDCARE is a platform implementing an interesting architecture combining technologies such as Representational State Transfer (REST) services, Radio- Frequency IDentification (RFID), Barcodes Management, Adaptive Graphical User Interface, Gesture Interface and Voice User Interfaces everything under the "hat" of Internet of Things (IoT). © 2019 ACM.

In ascertaining the authenticity of a person's identity, the techniques that utilises Biometric Technology and its vital aspects and attributes are essential in endorsing this endeavour. Transversing the years, identification through biometric means has heightened much attention with regards to its susceptibility to assaults whilst information are being transferred. Thus, there is a dire need for the development for a safeguarding means. Steganography and watermarking methods are adopted towards the enhancement of biometric information secureness. Watermarking entails the embedding of data within file that carries the data, in safeguarding intellectual property rights and copyrights that involves music, video or image files. Meanwhile, steganography entails the concealment of data. This research puts forward an all-encompassing review pertaining the latest steganography methods that has been implemented to protect the biometric fingerprints information up-to-date. This review categorizes the fingerprint system into various sections, inclusive of methods for extracting features and matching procedure. © 2019 ACM.

Against the backdrop of the rapid development of computer-related technologies, Connected and Automated Vehicle (CAV) have become a hot research issue in the field of transportation science and engineering. In the field of autonomous driving, there are insufficient research on the coordinated movement of multi-vehicle formations and the coordinated passage of intersections. In this paper, we propose a multi-vehicle cooperative formation motion planning method at non-signal intersections, based on the optimal control theory, and numerically solve the optimal with complex constraints by using the computational optimal control method. The control motion planning model proposes an optimal control framework with completeness and versatility. Among them, a two-vehicle formation model is proposed, and the joint simulation experiment of AMPL and MATLAB is carried out in the scenario of four formations cooperating through the intersection without signal lights, and the simulation results are compared and analysed, and finally the formation can reasonably travel farther within a certain period of time. © 2023 IEEE.

With the rapid development of artificial intelligence, deep neural network (DNN) has been widely used in industrial defect detection, intelligent driving, medical research, etc. However, DNN is still limited in the implementation of edge computing and mobile devices due to its characteristics of high model complexity and high computing resource consumption. Therefore, we designed a neural network hardware accelerator based on Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) for printed circuit board (PCB) defect detection. In this paper, firstly, since structure re-parameterization can improve the network's accuracy without increasing the inference model's complexity, we introduce structure reparameterization to improve the YOLOv2 model and propose RepYOLOv2. Secondly, a low-bit quantization method based on integer type is adopted to quantify the model data to 6-bit. Then a specific convolutional computing module and neural network hardware accelerator are designed according to the characteristics of the model. Experimental results on Xilinx ZCU102 FPGA show that the real-time processing speed of the system reaches 2.12 FPS, the throughput is 68.53 GOP/s, and the power consumption is only 1.12 W. From two-dimensional engineering drawings, computer-aided Design (CAD) technology to today's three-dimensional process design technology of Model Based Definition (MBD) based on feature representation and control, great changes have taken place in human engineering technology. With the applications of MBD technology in aerospace, machine-tool and other fields, it's also being actively explored in shipbuilding industry on engineering applications of the whole process of ship design and production under the background of intelligent transformation. After analysing the problems existed in process design of domestic shipbuilding enterprises, this paper firstly introduces a three-dimensional digital model of shipbuilding based on MBD technology. Then, a three-dimensional process design method is proposed in order to provide theoretical basis for the realization of three-dimensional process design of shipbuilding.

It is projected that semiconductor device manufacturing near the year 2000 will be carried out on silicon wafers as large as 300 mm in diameter. Minimum geometries will approach 0.18 μm for the 1024 Mbit DRAM. Chip (device) sizes will be as large as 450 sq. mm. This will require a new manufacturing paradigm. It is projected that the factory of the future will come very close to actual intelligent microelectronic manufacturing. The factory computer will have dynamic planning and scheduling along with process/equipment diagnosis and prognosis. Cost-effective, highly reliable processing equipment will evolve based on a cluster concept. These computer-intensive, intelligent clusters of process equipment will be linked to the factory computer. The computer will download and change recipes for each wafer. Process control technology of the 1990s will use smart sensors in the equipment to drive the process to the target value. Model predictive process control with feedback and feedforward will replace traditional statistical process control.
