With the rapid development of artificial intelligence, deep neural network (DNN) has been widely used in industrial defect detection, intelligent driving, medical research, etc. However, DNN is still limited in the implementation of edge computing and mobile devices due to its characteristics of high model complexity and high computing resource consumption. Therefore, we designed a neural network hardware accelerator based on Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) for printed circuit board (PCB) defect detection. In this paper, firstly, since structure re-parameterization can improve the network's accuracy without increasing the inference model's complexity, we introduce structure reparameterization to improve the YOLOv2 model and propose RepYOLOv2. Secondly, a low-bit quantization method based on integer type is adopted to quantify the model data to 6-bit. Then a specific convolutional computing module and neural network hardware accelerator are designed according to the characteristics of the model. Experimental results on Xilinx ZCU102 FPGA show that the real-time processing speed of the system reaches 2.12 FPS, the throughput is 68.53 GOP/s, and the power consumption is only 1.12 W. his paper mainly discussed cognitive strategy application in human problem solving through mind simulation combined brain-imaging experiment. An artificial intelligent cognitive system based on ACT-R (Adaptive control of Thought-Rational) theory was built to simulate simplified 44 Sudoku problems. An fMRI (functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging) experiment was preformed to collect real data on brain activation pattern and to validate the system. It was assumed that participants used goal recursion and visual perception simultaneity when solving problem. Procedural rules integrated both strategies were introduced. Based on the assumption and procedural knowledge, the ACT-R cognitive system simulated both behavioral processing and brain activations. Compared ACT-R predictions and fMRI results, difference on response time is 0.1 and the average correlation on brain activation pattern of BOLD (Blood Oxygen Level-Dependent) response is about 0.9. The cooperation of goal module and visual module is illustrated to confirm the combination strategy. This study shows that combination of goal recursive strategy and visual perceptional strategy is effective in speeding up human problem solving. This study may shed light on the research of human-computer interface on intelligent system. © 2010 IEEE.

Image segmentation technology is one of the important topics in the field of digital image research. However, there is no uniform standard for existing image segmentation methods, and the traditional image segmentation method is only suitable for some specific occasions. Therefore, it is very urgent to research and develop new theories and methods of image segmentation technology. Genetic algorithm is a method for calculating the optimal solution by simulating the biological evolution process in the natural selection and genetic mechanism of biological evolution. It has strong robustness, parallelism, adaptability and fast convergence. It can be applied in image segmentation technology to determine the segmentation threshold. Therefore, this paper studies the image segmentation based on genetic algorithm, and compares different image segmentation algorithms. The experimental results show that the image segmentation effect based on genetic algorithm is better than the traditional image segmentation.

Many complex samples must be preprocessed to analyze and detect. And sample preprocessed accounts for more than 60% of the entire sample analysis process. In order to improve efficiency and accuracy, an automated multi-sample preprocessing platform was designed and its automation control system was discussed. The functions of the platform mainly include: transferring 10 kinds of solvents, processing 96 samples, ultrasonic treatment, automatic cleaning. The control system of the platform is mainly composed of computer, PLC, syringe pump, distribution valve, sensor, stepping motor, ultrasonic pool, and the three-dimensional motion system. The platform adopts distributed control by LabVIEW and PLC, with friendly human-computer interaction interface and complete function. The platform selects six syringe pumps equipped with a dispensing valve to achieve the fluid transfer accuracy and efficiency requirements of the platform. The six syringe pumps are independent of each other, and the syringe range is 50μL∼*** working mode divided into normal mode and micro-step mode, which can achieve high throughput and ensure its volume accuracy. Install some proximity switches on the 3D motion system to achieve zero and limit point positioning for each axis. The PLC compares the current position with the received position command to obtain the difference in orientation. Finally, the PLC sends the required pulses to the stepper motor driver, and the proximity switch can verify the sample position. © 2019 ACM.

In the last decade Hospital Information Systems (HIS) received extensive research attention because international studies [16] [3] show how the introduction of HISs contributes to general errors reduction and could result in substantial improvement in patient safety. This paper introduces FIDMED, a Hospital Information Systems (HIS) based on a deep integration between hardware and software, both of them specifically designed and implemented by Kiranet I.C.T. Research Centre. It comprises a web based clinical application, named FIDCARE, a set of smart medical carts, smart medical cabinets and smart pocket dispenser, respectively named FIDRUN, FIDROK and FIDRAY. From a high-level user perspective, FIDMED aims to: a) reduction of the healthcare services clinical risk, b) cost control and cost reduction and c) improvement in the overall quality assurance of clinical processes. From a technical point of view, FIDCARE is a platform implementing an interesting architecture combining technologies such as Representational State Transfer (REST) services, Radio- Frequency IDentification (RFID), Barcodes Management, Adaptive Graphical User Interface, Gesture Interface and Voice User Interfaces everything under the "hat" of Internet of Things (IoT). © 2019 ACM.

2D human pose estimation (HPE) has been a research focus of computer vision, 2D HPE baseline is one of the main *** the field of HPE continues to evolve, Vision Transformer Baselines have emerged as a significant area of interest, showing considerable potential in visual applications. However, accurate estimation remains a challenge in 2D *** study introduces a novel approach named FANpose for 2D HPE in images. Building upon the top-tier VITpose Baselines, we innovate in two main aspects. Firstly, we employ fully attentional net- works to replace the vision transformer baseline model, thereby enhancing the model’s robustness. Secondly, we improve keypoint localization accuracy by replacing traditional Gaussian kernels with Laplacian kernels, thereby enhancing the model’s recognition *** the MS COCO dataset, our model achieves AP and AR scores that are respectively 0.4 and 0.6 higher than VITpose-B, and our model is 32M smaller in terms of parameters than *** achieves satisfactory results in human pose estimation tasks, showcasing its immense potential for practical applications. © 2024 SPIE.

In ascertaining the authenticity of a person's identity, the techniques that utilises Biometric Technology and its vital aspects and attributes are essential in endorsing this endeavour. Transversing the years, identification through biometric means has heightened much attention with regards to its susceptibility to assaults whilst information are being transferred. Thus, there is a dire need for the development for a safeguarding means. Steganography and watermarking methods are adopted towards the enhancement of biometric information secureness. Watermarking entails the embedding of data within file that carries the data, in safeguarding intellectual property rights and copyrights that involves music, video or image files. Meanwhile, steganography entails the concealment of data. This research puts forward an all-encompassing review pertaining the latest steganography methods that has been implemented to protect the biometric fingerprints information up-to-date. This review categorizes the fingerprint system into various sections, inclusive of methods for extracting features and matching procedure. © 2019 ACM.

The Artificial Immune System (AIS) is a computational intelligence method inspired from the human immune system, which is applied to real-world problem solving related to classification, optimization and anomaly detection as an alternative approach to many data mining techniques. This paper presents a medical disease prediction system by using the AIS algorithm. The proposed system is implemented and tested on two different datasets which include breast cancer data and heart disease data with four different types of illness. Two other well-known data mining techniques that are Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) and K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) are also tested on the same datasets to make a comparison in terms of their classification efficiency. By using AIS,. We also analyze accuracy obtained on breast cancer dataset is 98.08% and heart disease dataset is 70%. In addition to this, AIS algorithm gives the best classification results for both datasets the positive effect of preprocessing data before classification. Clearly, decreasing the number of different values that a class can be assigned for multivariate classes and assigning weights to each feature in heart disease dataset give prediction result with higher accuracy. © 2019 ACM.

The numerous application of wireless sensor networks (WSNs) in every facet of today's world demands prompt detection and classification of faults. In this paper, an integrated round trip path dual registers (RTPDR) is presented which combines Round Trip Paths (RTP) and Dual Registers (DR) for detection and classification of node failure, node reboot and link failure diagnosis. Round trip path is adopted for nodes grouping and threshold monitoring. Detection and classification of faults are done by comparison of dual registers using each path traversed by a packet from the source node. Two different registers are kept and updated respectively depending on the path traversed by a packet to detect anomalous behaviors. The results from simulation in MATLAB demonstrates the proposed technique achieves better detection latency, false alarm rate and false positive rate when compared with existing protocols. © 2019 ACM.
