Microservices is an architectural style increasing in popularity. However, there is still a lack of understanding how to adopt a microservice-based architectural style. We aim at characterizing different microservice architectural style patterns and the principles that guide their definition. We conducted a systematic mapping study in order to identify reported usage of microservices and based on these use cases extract common patterns and principles. We present two key contributions. Firstly, we identified several agreed microservice architecture patterns that seem widely adopted and reported in the case studies identified. Secondly, we presented these as a catalogue in a common template format including a summary of the advantages, disadvantages, and lessons learned for each pattern from the case studies. We can conclude that different architecture patterns emerge for different migration, orchestration, storage and deployment settings for a set of agreed principles.

Argument detection and its representation through ontologies are important parts of today's attempt in automated recognition and processing of useful information in the vast amount of constantly produced data. However, due to the highly complex nature of an argument and its characteristics, its automated recognition is hard to implement. Given this overall challenge, as part of the objectives of the RecomRatio project, we are interested in the traceable, automated stance detection of arguments, to enable the construction of explainable pro/con argument ontologies. In our research, we design and evaluate an explainable machine learning based classifier, trained on two publicly available data sets. the evaluation results proved that explainable argument stance recognition is possible with up to .96 F1 when working within the same set of topics and .6 F1 when working with entirely different topics. this informed our hypothesis, that there are two sets of features in argument stance recognition: General features and topic specific features.

Multiuser multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) down-link (DL) transmission schemes experience both multiuser interference as well as inter-antenna interference. Instead of treating all the users jointly as in zero-forcing (ZF) multiuser transmission techniques, the investigated singular value decomposition (SVD) assisted DL multiuser MIMO system takes the individual user's channel characteristics into account. this translates to a choice of modulation constellation and transmitter power and, in our proposed system, to a choice of number of activated user-specific MIMO layers. the performed joint optimization of the number of activated MIMO layers and the number of bits per symbol along with the appropriate allocation of the transmit power shows that not necessarily all user-specific MIMO layers has to be activated in both frequency selective and frequency non-selective MIMO channels in order to minimize the overall BER under the constraint of a given fixed data throughput.

the problem of motion control is very difficult because the number of degrees of freedom is too large. there are researches using EMG, motion capture, etc. But these approaches are pursuing from the outside how we can control our motion successfully and they are analyzing the problem item by item. But we take the other way around and we attempted to pursue the problem from the inside and we introduced a holistic pattern based approach. the motion is represented as a pattern and successful motions are assembled and averaged to make up a standard pattern. And each time he moves, its pattern is compared with this standard pattern using Mahalanobis distance. If the distance is within an allowable distance, then his motion is successful, but if it exceeds the limit distance, it warns him that he has to adjust his motion and how much he has to.

this paper presents an efficient method to improve the contrast of low contrast images and at the same time provides satisfactory performances in terms of image contrast and sharpness. It is based on numerical cubic interpolation formula known as Simpson's 3/8th rule. the neighboring pixel information is used in interpolation method, and it gives the high contrast image and also preserves fine details of the images. Different quality-based parameters are used to measure the improvement of the contrast of the images. the obtained results are compared with various standard existing methods for further validation.

Credit risk evaluation and sales target optimization are core businesses for financial institutions. Financial documents like t-balances, balance sheets, income statements are the most important inputs for both of these core businesses. T-balance is a semi-structured financial document which is constructed periodically by accountants and contains detailed accounting transactions. FOCA is an end to end system which first classifies financial documents in order to recognize t-balances, then digitalizes them into a tree-structured form and finally extracts valuable information such as bank names, human-company distinction, deposit type and liability term from free format text fields of t-balances. the information extracted is also enriched by matching human and company names who are in a relationship with existing customers of the bank from the customer database. pattern recognition, natural language processing, and information retrieval techniques are utilized for these capabilities. FOCA supports both decision/operational processes of corporate/commercial/SME sales and financial analysis departments in order to empower new customer engagement, cross-sell and up-sell to the existing customers and ease financial analysis operations by digitalizing t-balances.

the Internet of Vehicles realizes information sharing through the interconnection between entities such as vehicles and vehicles, vehicles and roads. As the computing tasks of vehicles become more and more complex, the data load of traditional cloud computing centers also increases. If a large amount of data generated by the vehicle is all uploaded to the cloud server, and the data is processed by the cloud computing center, it will increase the burden on the cloud server. In order to reduce the request time in the vehicle and reduce the data transmission delay, edge computing is introduced, and an identity-based vehicle networking message authentication scheme in the edge computing scenario is designed to realize the rational use of computing and storage resources. the scheme satisfies unlinkability, unforgeability, identity privacy protection, and anti-replay attack. © 2022 IEEE.

this work makes a substantial step in the field of split computing, i.e., how to split a deep neural network to host its early part on an embedded device and the rest on a server. So far, potential split locations have been identified exploiting uniquely architectural aspects, i.e., based on the layer sizes. Under this paradigm, the efficacy of the split in terms of accuracy can be evaluated only after having performed the split and retrained the entire pipeline, making an exhaustive evaluation of all the plausible splitting points prohibitive in terms of time. Here we show that not only the architecture of the layers does matter, but the importance of the neurons contained therein too. A neuron is important if its gradient with respect to the correct class decision is high. It follows that a split should be applied right after a layer with a high density of important neurons, in order to preserve the information flowing until then. Upon this idea, we propose Interpretable Split (I-SPLIT): a procedure that identifies the most suitable splitting points by providing a reliable prediction on how well this split will perform in terms of classification accuracy, beforehand of its effective implementation. As a further major contribution of I-SPLIT, we show that the best choice for the splitting point on a multiclass categorization problem depends also on which specific classes the network has to deal with. Exhaustive experiments have been carried out on two networks, VGG16 and ResNet-50, and three datasets, Tiny-Imagenet-200, notMNIST, and Chest X-Ray Pneumonia. the source code is available at https://***/vips4/I-Split.

As an important node of international logistics channels, international dry ports play an important role in the development of open economy in the central inland areas. Based on the study of the status quo of international dry port operation and construction in the central region, the paper summarized the characteristics of two different business pattern leading by enterprise and government respectively and made the pros&cons analysis. the further discussion concluded the elements affecting the decision of operating pattern of dry port. the paper build the index model to evaluate the efficiency of these two business pattern via the infrastructure and logistics, the regional economy, market and service, development and cooperation perspective, the comprehensive results calculated by the Fuzzy-AHP method showed that the enterprise-dominant pattern is superior to the government-dominant one, since the logistics business, regional economic development level and market prospects are more important for the operation of the international port operations in the central inland region. © 2019 proceedings of the 8th international conference on Logistics and Systems Engineering 2018.
