We put forward a new matching strategy with more elaborate and realistic concepts to improve on the past matching strategy based on keyword. In this paper we set up a concept lattice for each web page according to the natural semantic concepts extracted from each web page. Such concept lattices are encoded by bidirectional associative memories as apposed to complex lattices building algorithms. then we extract the formal concepts' objects and attributes those are relevant to queries' keywords to carry on matching manipulate.

there is a growing need for a user-friendly human-computer interaction system that can respond to various characteristics of a user in terms of behavioral patterns, mental state, and personalities. In this paper, we present a system that generates appropriate natural language spoken messages with customization for user characteristics, taking into account the fact that human behavioral patterns usually reveal one's mental state or personality subconsciously. the system is targeted at handling various situations for five-year old kindergarteners by giving them caring words during their everyday lives. Withthe analysis of each case study, we provide a setting for a computational method to identify user behaviroal patterns. We believe that the proposed link between the behavioral patterns and the mental state of a human user can be applied to improve not only user interactivity but also believability of the system.

An e-market can be thought of as a distributed event system where an event is generated every time the market's state changes in response to a number of human or computing agents. the paper describes a practical application of event processing in an e-market context through conventional Event Processing Systems (EPSs). A new EPS architecture that allows an integration of several existing EPSs under a unified domain-specific user interface and execution environment is proposed. We assess the performance of the system for a case study in financial market surveillance and its ability to provide a common interface for two existing EPSs - SMARTS and Coral8. A discussion on the experimental results and the issues arising from the proposed EPS architecture are also provided.

this paper presents a novel statistical and discrete cosine transform (DCT) based image-coding scheme. the proposed coding scheme divides the input image into a number of non-overlapping pixel blocks. the coefficients in each block are then decorrelated into their spatial frequencies using a discrete cosine transform. Coefficients withthe same spatial frequency at different blocks are put together to generate a number of matrices, where each matrix contains coefficients of a particular spatial frequency. the matrix containing DC coefficients is losslessly coded to preserve visually important information. Matrices, which consist of high frequency coefficients, are coded using a novel statistically based coding algorithm developed in this paper. Perceptual weights are used to regulate the threshold value required in the coding process of the high frequency matrices. the proposed coding scheme and JPEG were applied to Lena, Elaine and House, three test images, and results show that the proposed coding scheme outperforms JPEG subjectively and objectively at low compression ratios. Results also indicate that the decoded images using the proposed codec have superior subjective quality at high compression ratios while JPEG suffers from blocking artifacts at high compression ratios.

In this paper, a speech emotion recognition agent for mobile communication service is proposed. the proposed system can recognize five emotional states - neutral, happiness, sadness, anger, and annoyance from the speech captured by a cellular phone in real time and then it calculates the degree of affection such as love, truthfulness, weariness, trick, friendship of the person who you are interesting to know through the mobile phone. In general, a speech acquired by a cellular phone contains noise due to the mobile network and environmental noise. thus it can causes serious performance degradation due to the distortion in emotional features of the query speech. In order to alleviate the effect of these noises, we adopt a MA (Moving Average) filter which has relatively simple structure and low computational complexity. then a feature optimization method is implemented to further improve and stabilize the system performance. For a practical application, we create an agent that can measure the degree of affection from the person who you want to know on the mobile phone. Two pattern classification methods, k-NN and SVM with probability estimates, are compared for estimating the degree of affection. the experimental results indicate that the proposed method provides very stable and successful emotional classification performance as 72.5 % over five emotional states and it shows the feasibility of the agent for mobile communication services.

Multinomial logistic regression provides the standard penalised maximumlikelihood solution to multi-class patternrecognition problems. More recently, the development of sparse multinomial logistic regression models has found application in text processing and microarray classification, where explicit identification of the most informative features is of value. In this paper, we propose a sparse multinomial logistic regression method, in which the sparsity arises from the use of a Laplace prior, but where the usual regularisation parameter is integrated out analytically. Evaluation over a range of benchmark datasets reveals this approach results in similar generalisation performance to that obtained using cross-validation, but at greatly reduced computational expense.

In this paper, we consider Kernel-based non-parametric density estimation methods and derive formulae for variable kernel density estimation using generalized, elliptic Gaussian kernels. the proposed technique is verified on simulated data.
