Blind source separation algorithms typically involve decorrelat-ing time-aligned mixture signals. the usual assumption is that all sources are active at all times. However, if this is not the case, we show that the unique pattern of source activity/inactivity helps separation. Music is the most obvious example of sources exhibiting repetitive structure because it is carefully constructed. We present a novel source separation algorithm based on spatial time-time distributions that capture the repetitive structure in audio. Our method outperforms time-frequency source separation when source spectra are highly overlapping.
this work presents a framework driven by parcellation of brain gray matter in standard normalized space to classify the neuronal fibers obtained from diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) in entire human brain. Classificatio...

the B-Spline curve and surface provide an accurate tool to record object shape. We present a biometric identification system through hand geometry measurements by using B-Spline curves. We use 4 B-Spline curves to fit with fingers (except thumb) from a single hand image for a single person. then we store these 4 curves as well as other geometry measurements of the hand as the "signature" of that person into the database. By computingthe differences between the curves from database hand images and the curves from the query hand image using the point projection method, we are able to verify/identify the person by locating the closest database hand image to the query hand image.

We provide an investigation of the applicability of the Model Driven Architecture(TM) to the development of a technical architecture in a specific domain, viz: contract monitoring. We define MDA in terms of a single basic pattern, which is then composed in several ways to represent the behaviour of a large range of MDA tools. the paper introduces boththe work of the Elemental project to provide the domain example, and the Pegamento project to explain the metamodels and tools in the MDA framework which might be applied to the domain. Elemental has developed an architecture and a language for supporting Enterprise Contract Management (ECM) as part of an extended enterprise model. Pegamento has specified and built MDA prototype tools using several modelling languages, meta-languages and platforms. As the work of boththese projects reaches maturity, "the Final Cut"(I) is our proposed application of this toolset to facilitate building a model-based implementation of the relevant parts of Elemental's ECM system. We discover several generic MDA pattern matches in this case study, and several specific to the ECM. We also identify and discuss pattern mismatches.

In this paper, using a fixed-point theorem and reduction to absurdity, the authors have obtained some sufficient conditions to guarantee that Cohen-Grossberg neural networks with discrete and distributed delays are globally exponentially stable. Since the model is more general and the assumptions relax the previous assumptions in some existing works, the results presented in this paper are the improvement and extension of the existed ones. Finally, the validity and performance of the results are illustrated by two simulation examples.
Technical analysis mainly focuses on analyzing the chart patterns, which is a non-trivial task. Because one time scale alone cannot be applied to all analytical processes, the identification of typical patterns on a s...
