With mobile application development becoming one of the most sought-after choices by computer science students, developers and companies, an instructor teaching a course on the same to a batch of beginners should ensure that the best possible teaching-learning methodologies are adopted to generate interest among students in the classroom. the author used a blended approach consisting of traditional, e-learning and m-learning strategies. these in turn, consisted of various teaching and evaluation methods. through this paper, the author discusses the impact of the methods adopted as part of the experiment, on the interest of the students and their respective performance. the sample consisted of 22 postgraduate computer science students. their responses to the instruments administered, their scores and their LMS access logs were analyzed. the author was able to achieve statistically significant results with respect to the students' interest and their performance, for mainly two strategies - integration of LMS, and teaching the topics by developing an application in multiple phases throughout the duration of the course. It was found that with regards to project work, continuous interaction with the instructor was a desired and accepted approach by the students. the study also revealed the misconceptions that an instructor may have when teaching a programming language or when using mobile devices for teaching. the results of this study may be used by instructors teaching any programming language in higher education.

In the recent years cloud computing has become one of the hottest topics in the field of information technology. It links a certain amount of computing, storage and software resources to make a huge scale of shared virtual IT resource pool, providing unlimited capacity IT services for remote computer users. Cloud computing attracts the attention of more and more enterprises by using its advantages such as convenience, economical benefit, high scalability. It can release the companies from the heavy pressure of managing and maintaining IT infrastructure. With the development of university information infrastructure many universities have built digital campuses and cloud platforms, so a cloud rendering platform can be established on the basis of the private cloud in a digital campus. then idle resources can be shared for animation rendering, which will provide a solid backing for animation teaching, research and experiment. From the application point of view, this paper analyzes the challenges which animation rendering industry is faced with, and introduces the cloud computing theory and key technologies of cloud rendering solutions. Finally, we propose an instance of cloud rendering platform established on the private cloud in a campus, analyzing the system structure, work processes and the method of use.

the technological rebellion has made current generations to depend more on the digital world in their day to day life. the effectiveness of the digital world has changed the learner's perceptive towards the education system. the impulsivegrowth of technology has increased the popularity of Information and Communication Technology which has created a research scope in computer network domain thus computer network course in the curriculum of computer Science and Engineering plays an important role. It is always a challenge to teach computer Networks course to students as the course requires a practical exposure more than the chalk and talk. It is very hard for students to envision the concepts of computer networks, protocols formats and understanding packets flow during teaching in classroom. To overcome above said challenge, pedagogical practice such as active learning through simulation tool is identified in delivery of the course. this paper discusses the effective use of a Packet Tracer (PT) simulation tool in the teaching of computer network concepts. A structured learning approach is introduced by using packet tracer tool in teaching network concepts and series of exercises are designed and developed to give the visualization of each layer functionality. these practical exercises helped in active learning to use the packet tracer to simulate campus network. this pedagogy practice encouraged the students' to build the clarity on the physical devices like router, access points, switch and their configurations. the troubleshooting skills were practiced by introducing the errors deliberately and how to resolve is learnt through the tool. computer network simulation activity include the concepts of NAT, Subnetting, V-LAN setting, services of TCP/UDP, packet format details, application layer protocol like DNS, DHCP, E-Mail, FTP and HTTP. learning automata as a tool for machine learning, could search the optimal state adaptively in random environment. Function optimization is a fundamental issue and many practical models are ultimately the mathematical optimization problems. In this paper, we apply the basic continuous action-set reinforcement learning automata (CARLA) model to function optimization. An application model called equiCARLA is constructed by means of equidistant discretization and linear interpolation, and it presents a superiority over the existing algorithms not only in speed but also in precision. the experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of our model for function optimization.

Deep learning refers to a set of machine learning techniques that utilize neural networks with many hidden layers for tasks, such as image classification, speech recognition, language understanding. Deep learning has been proven to be very effective in these domains and is pervasively used by many Internet services. In this paper, we describe different automotive uses cases for deep learning in particular in the domain of computer vision. We surveys the current state-of-theart in libraries, tools and infrastructures (e.g. GPUs and clouds) for implementing, training and deploying deep neural networks. We particularly focus on convolutional neural networks and computer vision use cases, such as the visual inspection process in manufacturing plants and the analysis of social media data. To train neural networks, curated and labeled datasets are essential. In particular, both the availability and scope of such datasets is typically very limited. A main contribution of this paper is the creation of an automotive dataset, that allows us to learn and automatically recognize different vehicle properties. We describe an end-to-end deep learning application utilizing a mobile app for data collection and process support, and an Amazon-based cloud backend for storage and training. For training we evaluate the use of cloud and on-premises infrastructures (including multiple GPUs) in conjunction with different neural network architectures and frameworks. We assess both the training times as well as the accuracy of the classifier. Finally, we demonstrate the effectiveness of the trained classifier in a real world setting during manufacturing process.
