A new big data analysis method for big data is proposed to address the storage, processing, and security issues of massive data in the big data environment. the main research objects are Hadoop HDFS and Spark, with scalability, fault tolerance, and efficiency as the goals. A hierarchical approach is adopted to achieve data collection, storage, processing, and visualization integration. On this basis, it is proposed to improve the overall performance of the system through data block storage and parallel processing, achieving high-speed, efficient, and robust fault tolerance. the system also incorporates security measures for data protection and integrity across multiple nodes. Performance testing reveals that the system excels in data handling, resource allocation, and fault tolerance across various data scales, while identifying areas for optimization. the research results of this project will provide valuable references for practical problems in the field of big data, and also provide new ideas for the scalability development of big data. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s). In this work, we present the research carried out within the STEX ("Smart TEXtiles for monitoring muscle activity") project, aimed at the development of wearable non-invasive sensors for real-Time monitoring of muscle activity. the project's activities performed involved the design, fabrication, characterization and validation of two different sensors: (i) piezoresistive textile-based strain sensors for the detection of the breathing rate (BR) and (ii) flexible electrolyte-gated carbon nanotube fieldeffect transistor (EG-CNTFET)-based sensors for NH+ 4 detection in sweat. the piezoresistive textile-based strain sensors proved able to follow the chest movements during quiet breathing with a sensitivity of 22-2%, while a preliminary pilot study confirmed the possibility of using them to estimate the breath-by-breath BR during cycling activity. the EG-CNTFET-based NH+ 4 sensors showed a linear detection range for ammonium from 0.01 to 10 mM in artificial sweat, which covers the entire range of physiological concentrations of interest, with average sensitivities of 0.346 uA/decade and 96.94% coefficient of determination. © 2023 IEEE.

this research paper addresses the challenge of bridging the communication gap between sign language users and non-users through a comprehensive study on sign language translation. the focus is on Sinhala Sign Language (SSL), and the research problem encompasses various innovative components. these include the conversion of Sinhala Sign Language (SSL) into text, emotion recognition and representation, personalized sign language learning, and accurate identification and translation of sign language gestures. By leveraging machine learning, deep learning, 3D modeling, and image/video processing techniques, the system enhances accessibility, communication, and education for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community. the outcomes of this research encompass an accurate and visually appealing sign language translation system, personalized learning interfaces, and the integration of emotions into sign language communication. the research contributes by providing insights into SSL grammar and lexicon, developing a tailored sign language learning curriculum, implementing reinforcement learning algorithms for personalized feedback, utilizing 3D components for enhanced visual quality, and optimizing deployments and models for improved performance. the proposed system has significant implications for improved accessibility, education, and inclusivity, fostering effective communication and understanding between sign language users and non-users. © 2023 IEEE.

Real estate data analysis and visualization are important contents of urban research and urban management, while big data and computer technology provide scientific methods and tools for them. this research is based on big data technology. Firstly, the paper obtains the relevant massive data on the network through computer technology, and makes a visual analysis of the current situation. Secondly, the paper uses Kriging interpolation method to predict and analyze the trend of house prices and display them visually. Finally, the paper establishes an ordinary least squares (OLS) regression model to visualize and quantify the location factors affecting house prices, and makes a spatial differentiation *** research results of this paper explore the spatial pattern and action mechanism of house prices in Xi'an, which has a certain reference significance for optimizing urban spatial layout and rational allocation of urban resources. At the same time, this paper establishes a set of methods of big data mining, data analysis, data visualization and extracting factors affecting house prices based on computer technology, which provides an idea for the application of big data in real estate and urban planning and management. © 2022 ACM.

In this study, we aimed to develop a diagnostic classification model for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) using scalograms of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data. Initially, the fMRI data from the ABIDE-I and ABIDE-II databases were preprocessed, and brain regions of interest (ROIs) were parcellated. Subsequently, scalograms were generated using Continuous Wavelet Transform from the average time series of each ROI. Various features were extracted from these scalogram images, including gray-level co-occurrence matrix, gray-level run-length matrix, fractal dimension texture analysis, Zernike's moments, Hu's moments, and first-order statistics. We employed CatBoost and Decision Tree machine learning classifiers and performed extensive five-fold cross-validation with hyperparameter tuning to evaluate the model's performance. the results indicated an overall accuracy of 83.04%, sensitivity of 66.66%, specificity of 85.57%, and an F1-score of 75.85% for the Decision Tree classifier, particularly a region in the Retro-Splenial Temporal network. In addition, regions from networks such as fronto-parietal task control network, Ventral Attention, and Visual, showcased promising classification performance for ASD. these findings highlight the efficacy of the proposed model in providing accurate ASD classification, which holds significant implications for early diagnosis and intervention strategies. © 2023 IEEE.

Class imbalance is a significant problem in many real-time domains dealing with healthcare data, which leads to poor classification performance and may have severe consequences. this work addresses the class imbalance problem in healthcare data, which often leads to poor classification performance and potentially serious consequences. this study proposes a hybrid PNM model that integrates the Near-Miss sampling technique and Principal Component Analysis to overcome this challenge. this study aims to investigate the effectiveness of the PNM model in improving classifier performance and compare it with several baseline classifiers. Further, the experiments are conducted on a real-world healthcare dataset containing various healthcare records. the results showed that the PNM model outperformed the baseline classifiers regarding the precision, recall, F1 score, and area under the curve (AUC). Specifically, the PNM model achieved a precision of - 0.85, recall of - 0.82, F1 score - 0.83, and AUC - 0.91, while the best-performing baseline classifier achieved a precision of 0.72, recall of 0.64, F1 score of 0.68, and AUC of 0.83. Our study demonstrates that the PNM model offers a promising approach to addressing the class imbalance in healthcare data and improving classifier performance. Integrating the Near-Miss sampling technique and Principal Component Analysis enables the model to achieve a better balance among the majority and minority classes, resulting in more accurate classification. the PNM model has the potential to be applied to various healthcare domains, such as disease diagnosis, patient risk stratification, and treatment prediction. © 2023 IEEE.

In response to the issues of proximity between the measurer and the measured individual, as well as low measurement efficiency in traditional methods of body temperature measurement, a face recognition and facial temperature detection system based on neural network algorithms has been designed. Regarding hardware design, it utilizes a dual-camera system with infrared capabilities and an integrated built-in blackbody module to capture thermal imaging data. Regarding software design, the collected data is input into a neural network algorithm model for analysis and processing. It has been demonstrated through experimentation that the system can automatically capture and rapidly output dynamic facial images and body temperatures. this system enhances information technology in prevention and control work while reducing the risk of disease transmission. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

thyroid cancer is one of the most common cancers in young women, but due to the noise and artifacts of ultrasound images, there is still a certain misdiagnosis rate in clinical practice, and it is often combined with plain and Contrast-enhanced CT for further diagnosis. Compared with plain CT, Contrast-enhanced CT has better contrast with reflecting the erosion of organ margins, which is an important symptom for diagnosing thyroid cancer. Contrast-enhanced CT, however, relies on the patient being injected with a contrast agent and exposed to ionizing radiation. Our work proposes an improved Unet architecture. To generate enhanced CT images with clear texture and higher quality, we use the convolutional Transformer module to learn the global information of high-dimensional features, and then fuse the texture feature module to extract the local texture information of plain CT and the edge information extracted by superpixels as a priori knowledge to restore texture details. Experimental results show that our framework outperforms state-of-the-art generative networks and can generate higher-quality Contrast-enhanced CT. © 2022 IEEE.

Currently, data visualization is widely used in industries such as smart city display, rail transit monitoring and network traffic analysis, public opinion analysis. the data sources are relatively stable and the data formats are relatively regular. However, in some scenarios, the data is relatively scattered and of low quality, and there is limited introduction to the entire process of collecting, circulating, and aggregating this data into visual applications. Based on this, a comprehensive implementation method for metadata collection, raw data aggregation, and data visualization was explored and practiced, and a clear and scalable solution was proposed, from the backend to the frontend, the ideas and methods of data collection and aggregation, as well as the methods of building websites using the Django framework and implementing typical visualization applications using Echarts tools, were introduced. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Despite the fact that phishing is frequently addressed, voice phishing and SMS phishing which is also known as vishing and smishing are least addressed social engineering attacks. through vishing and smishing, the attackers try to divulge sensitive information over the phone. As some of the common types of vishing and smishing attacks, bank related attacks, insurance related attacks, charity related attacks, social media related attacks can be pointed out. Most of the time these attacks are conducted targeting specific domains that the user is highly vulnerable to. Such as mobile device users have the higher tendency to be susceptible to a scam attack in the domain where they are frequently engaged in. Hence by observing the behavior of the user to a scam attempt, analyzing the user behavior, the vulnerability of the user to a specific scam attack category can be determined. User's behavior in a scam attempt is further influenced by their own characteristics such as socio demographic attributes, behavior related attributes and perceptual related attributes. So the impact of those user characteristics which their behavior in a scam attempt is influenced by plays a significant importance in determining their susceptibility to a scam attempt. Security Education Training and Awareness(SETA) is a program which is commonly available within organizations as preventive mechanisms. the same concept is applied in this proposed solution by creating a knowledge base of SETA recommendations for each category of attack that the user is highly vulnerable to. So this application determines the category of attack that the user is highly susceptible to and increases awareness and proficiency of the user to ensure prevention. © 2023 IEEE.
