this paper considers parameters and sampling time identification of a three interacting tanks system. A novel tailor-made model is introduced to deal with the real plant in the laboratory. Experimental data are then exploited to perform parameter identification via particle swarm optimisation (PSO) method. In addition to the system parameters, we propose to simultaneously optimize the sampling selection in the optimisation process. Even though several well known sampling time selection are established, a more precise selection is required. It is shown in this paper that a meta-heuristic optimisation method (PSO) can be an efficient procedure for this problem. Moreover, three different error measures for performing optimisation are also discussed. © 2023 IEEE.

After more than 20 years of scientific research efforts, my country has finally made great progress in engineering surveying and mapping technology, and established a complete digital surveying and mapping system, which proves that my country's engineering surveying has been in line with the world. the development of big data technology in the new era has opened up new applications for digital surveying and mapping technology in construction engineering and geological engineering. As industrialization and urbanization progress at a swift pace, the issue of air pollution has intensified significantly, with PM2.5, a pivotal constituent of smog, emerging as a grave hazard to human wellbeing, the ecological landscape, and economic prosperity alike. therefore, it is particularly important to make scientific and accurate prediction of PM2.5 concentration. In order to improve the accuracy and robustness of PM2.5 concentration prediction, this paper constructs an RNCL-A integrated model aiming at the shortcomings of existing prediction models in generalization ability and stability. Taking the publicly available Beijing PM dataset as an example, the Stacking integration framework is used, combining the advantages of ResNet+Attention, CNN, and LSTM. Among them, ResNet+Attention model is used to extract deep-level features and important information in data, CNN model focuses on capturing spatial features, and LSTM model is responsible for processing long-term dependencies in time series data to improve the accuracy of prediction. through case study, and evaluation and comparison with ResNet-LSTM, CNN-LSTM and LSTM models, the results show that RNCL-A is superior to other models in multiple evaluation indicators, and this model can not only effectively capture the spatiotemporal characteristics and nonlinear relations in the data, but also effectively capture the spatial and temporal characteristics of the data. It can also improve the accuracy and stability of prediction through multi-model fusion, which proves its application potential in the field of air quality prediction. this study not only provides a new deep learning solution for PM2.5 concentration prediction, but also provides a reference for other environmental monitoring problems. © 2024 IEEE.

Vehicle spare parts demand forecasting is crucial for optimizing inventory and improving maintenance efficiency. this study aims to explore a vehicle spare parts demand forecasting method based on the fusion of XGBoost and LightGBM models to enhance prediction accuracy and precision. In this paper, we first collected a large amount of historical spare parts demand data and associated feature data, followed by data preprocessing and feature engineering. then, we constructed individual machine learning models as well as the XGBoost-LightGBM fusion model, and performed parameter tuning and optimization using the Optuna framework. Experimental results demonstrate that both XGBoost and LightGBM models achieve favorable performance in spare parts demand forecasting, but the fusion of these two models further enhances prediction accuracy. the fusion model exhibits lower MAPE values compared to individual models on the test set, confirming its superiority and effectiveness. this method leverages the strengths of both models and improves prediction accuracy through weight fusion, offering practical significance in achieving accurate spare parts demand forecasting, optimizing inventory, and improving maintenance efficiency. Future research can explore alternative machine learning algorithms and feature engineering methods to further enhance the accuracy and reliability of vehicle spare parts forecasting. © 2023 ACM.

the aging of societies worldwide has led to an increase in the prevalence of dementia, a progressive and debilitating brain disorder that affects memory, cognition, and behavior. To address the challenge of dementia in an aging society, efforts are underway to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent or delay the onset of dementia through education, physical activity, and brain exercise. the feather of the system tries to have a big screen output with an LCD monitor to make things easier to see for elder people and increase the difficulty by one level after each play. the result shows participants tended to use it better, as evidenced by the time of use decrease and the score increase by collecting data for using the system from 50 elder people who used it once a day for a total of 5 days, then recording the time of use and scores obtained from using it each time and analyzing the data by looking for trends. In addition, the elderly are satisfied with the system by asking for satisfaction through a questionnaire about the user interface, user experience, the calculating game, and the thai word memory game. the results of this research are likely to improve the computational and memory of the elderly. Moreover, they were satisfied with the system at the highest level. © 2023 IEEE.

With the increasing use time and frequency of bridges, they will inevitably be subjected to a large number of traffic vehicles and various human damage. In addition, the severe erosion of the natural environment will cause different situations and degrees of damage to the surface of the beam. According to relevant data, cracks are the main factor causing damage to concrete bridges. therefore, this paper combines machine learning and NN (Neural Network) model to build an intelligent identification system for concrete bridge cracks. through the system, we can clearly see the recognition of the model on the bridge crack picture. the numerical representation on the diagonal of the Confusion matrix identifies the correct type, and the numerical representation not on the diagonal represents the wrong type. And the research results show that the classification accuracy of this algorithm for the verification set is high, close to the training set, and the Loss function is close to the Loss function of the training set on the basis of the overall fluctuation, so there is no over fitting phenomenon, the uncomfortable training results are good, and the training time is very similar. the algorithm proposed in this paper can accurately identify concrete surface crack images in a short period of time, indicating that the algorithm can be used for crack localization. © 2023 IEEE.

In recent years, electronic voting has garnered increasing attention, particularly due to the advancements in blockchain technology, which have made blockchain electronic voting a reality. However, the utilization of blockchain-based online voting raises concerns regarding the potential disclosure of voters’ identity information and other security issues. To address these challenges and ensure secure voting, secure multi-party computation is employed. this paper proposes an electronic voting protocol based on threshold homomorphism and the Paillier encryption algorithm. the protocol enables collaborative voting among participants, eliminating the need for a third-party vote counting agency, while also offering resistance against certain malicious attacks. the security of the protocol is rigorously established using the real/ideal model paradigm. Furthermore, the protocol's efficiency is thoroughly analyzed and validated through experiments. By adopting this novel protocol, electronic voting can be conducted securely and efficiently, leveraging the benefits of blockchain technology while addressing potential vulnerabilities. the proposed approach contributes to the advancement of secure and trustworthy electronic voting systems. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

LoRa (Long Range), a wireless communication technology designed for Low Power Wide Area Networks (LPWAN), facilitates diverse IoT applications and inter-device communication by virtue of its openness and adaptable network deployment. However, the conventional static link transmission scheme employed in practical LoRa network deployment fails to fully exploit the available channel resources in dynamic channel environments, resulting in suboptimal network performance. To address this issue, this paper proposes a more efficient Adaptive data Rate (ADR) algorithm tailored for low-cost gateways. this algorithm incorporates fuzzy support vector machine (FSVM) to accurately classify link quality and employs distinct link adaptation algorithms based on varying link qualities. Notably, the algorithm considers both link-level performance and MAC layer performance. Experimental measurements demonstrate that our proposed algorithm surpasses the standard LoRaWAN ADR algorithm in terms of packet reception rate (PRR) and network throughput in both single end device (ED) and multi EDs scenarios. Specifically, in multi-EDs scenarios, the proposed algorithm yields a remarkable 34.12% improvement in throughput and a significant 26% enhancement in packet reception rate compared to the LoRaWAN ADR algorithm. these findings demonstrate the substantial enhancements achieved by the proposed algorithm in terms of network throughput and packet reception rate. © 2023 IEEE.
