Realistic modeling and animating clouds are ones of the hardest tasks in computer animation. there are different techniques used in computergraphics for representing clouds. Our work is based on volume-rendered implicit junction, for volumetric cloud modeling. Basically, implicit primitives are controlled by a modified particle system. We propose genetic algorithms for initialization of the particle system. they provide an alternative to traditional optimization techniques and are also useful in the key-frame animation. Additionally, we introduce some new ideas in volumetric clouds animation: advanced techniques for controlling a large collection of individual elements - flocks and autonomous behavior. Some properties of these techniques are also applicable in the cloud animation.

A technique for proving copyright ownership of images is proposed. We use the moment-preserving to represent the characteristics of images. the secret key for copyright detection is generated from the image's feature and the owner's watermark/trademark. this strategy for a watermarking system is wholly different from traditional work. Furthermore, a voting approach is used to improve the correctness of the computed watermarks. Experimental results show that our method survive can against several attacks. these attacks are from image processing algorithms, such as filtering, lossy compression, rotation and so on. In particular the proposed scheme is not only applicable to ordinary natural images but also to cartoon graphics.

the Multimedia Maintenance Interface (MuMMI) project concerns research into the use of multimedia and associated communications technology for the program comprehension process. Program comprehension is a time consuming process and conventionally has centred around scrutiny of the source code and any associated 'formal' textual documentation. Recent studies however have shown that a mix of information types and in particular those at a more abstract level than source code alone can significantly assist the program comprehension process. A prototype MuMMI system has been developed that enables software developers to capitalise on the different information types and to document an application in multimedia format. this has the result that when the system enters the further development or maintenance stage, understanding of its working is facilitated through the 'rich' multimedia attributes of video, audio, graphics and animation. this paper describes the aims of the MuMMI project, the requirements for and architecture of the resultant MuMMI prototype and a framework for its envisaged use.

A basic system for the acquisition, reconstruction and simulation of real objects (ERSO) is presented. the authors' approach is to combine the knowledge of different research areas as photogrammetric, computergraphics and computer vision to develop new techniques for generating three-dimensional models from images. the first two sections give an introduction and overview of the system architecture. the following sections describe in more detail the different parts of the reconstruction process.
