In machine learning, the efficiency and reliability of models are critically dependent on the quantity and quality of data used for training. Despite this, accurately estimating the data requirements necessary to achieve optimal model performance remains a significant challenge - especially in applications where target domain data is unavailable to inform data requirement estimation. The primary aim of this work is to demonstrate the potential for estimating data requirements using metadata prior to data collection - which could help transition data requirement estimation in practice from solely expert-driven to incorporating data-driven elements. Consequently, this paper presents a novel framework designed to assess data requirements, prior to data collection, for machine learning models that aims to enhance both efficiency and assurance. To show the promise of the proposed framework, we introduce a novel metadata dataset, ImageMeta, that records various features of models and existing datasets collected from public repositories. Leveraging ImageMeta, a model of the proposed framework is realized that can estimate data requirements for a host of computer vision tasks. Evaluations demonstrate that even with a simple architecture, models still performed well on evaluating difficulty of tasks and target data. These results establish that data requirements can be estimated from metadata alone and provides valuable guidelines for practitioners/experimentalists seeking to optimize data collection methods and improve model robustness. © 2024 IEEE.

Stereo matching is a key step in 3D reconstruction based on binocular vision. The choice of stereo matching algorithm is directly related to the effect of 3D reconstruction. Aiming at the limitation of the semi-global stereo matching algorithm SGBM, the Census transform relies too much on the center point pixel and is easily disturbed by noise. An improved algorithm based on SGBM is proposed as a stereo matching algorithm in this paper. In the original cost calculation stage, the algorithm replaces the gray value of the original center pixel with the minimum error gray mean value of the multichannel neighborhood to perform the Census operation, and combines the new operation result with the AD cost of the pixel to calculate the initial matching cost. It effectively solves the pixel dependence of the center point and the matching ambiguity problem of a single Census cost in the repeated area. The disparity map is recovered by methods such as multipath cost aggregation and left-right consistency detection after improved cost calculation is completed. This paper uses the Middlebury standard data set to verify the effectiveness of the improved algorithm. Through experimental comparison and analysis, the disparity map generated by the improved algorithm in this paper is effectively improved. © COPYRIGHT SPIE. Neural style transfer is the concept of blending image's content with a different image's style. This technique helps us generate images that are the same as the base image but with the style of the image. Due to this technique's capacity to produce eye-catching and beautiful visuals, it has experienced substantial growth in popularity. NST, which enables the fusion of content from one image with the creative style of another, has become a fascinating approach in the fields of computer vision and artistic expression. This paper aims to examine how different neural network models and optimization techniques affect the effectiveness and attractiveness of neural style transfer. In this paper, a neural network-based nonlinear model predictive control strategy for carbon fiber angle link weaving machine tension is proposed. Firstly, the tension nonlinear model considering the opening disturbance is established. Secondly, considering the existence of nonlinear terms in the system, a radial basis function (RBF) neural network is proposed to approximate the nonlinear terms online to improve the control accuracy of the system. A tension nonlinear model predictive control(NMPC) is designed to achieve constant tension control under the driving torque constraint. And compared with the conventional nonlinear model predictive controller, the RBFNMPC improves the time to reach the steady state in the system state variation curve by 0.2s, reduces the overshoot of the three states in the state response curve by 19.1%, 6.1% and 12.3%, respectively, and effectively reduces the time to reach the steady state. © 2023 IEEE.

Skin disorders are common and can be brought on by several things, including viruses, bacteria, allergies, or fungi. The speed and precision of detecting skin diseases have increased because of developments in laser and photonics-based medical technologies. The expense of such a diagnostic is still considerable, though, which restricts accessibility. An automated early-stage dermatological screening system has been developed using image processing techniques to solve this issue. Effective skin disease classification requires the extraction of key information from pictures, and many detection algorithms rely on computer vision. DenseNet169 and NASNetMobile are some of the methods that were employed in the study. Graphs were used to display the results as the researchers compared the algorithms' performance based on training accuracy and confusion matrix. The principal objective of this project was to solve the problem of the controlling attitude balance for the cube to achieve actuator saturation. For the past three decades, studies of attitude balance for the cube have ignored the impact of actuator constraint. Firstly, a novel non-linear saturation function is constructed that has the characteristics of being continuous and smooth. Secondly, based on the proposed saturation function, a non-linear proportional-derivative (PD) saturated control (NPDSC) is developed to tackle the attitude balance problem for cube formulated by lagrange equation. It is proven that the designed NPDSC can assure that the system of cube is globally asymptotically stabilized. The control method offers the benefits of a straightforward and concise format, efficient calculations, and the absence of any specific numerical value associated with the system. Another feature is that the proposed regulation guarantees the output of the output generator is maintained within the rated range, so it completely avoids instability and degradation or unimaginable movement of the system, avoiding excessive output due to overheating or structural failure. The proposed control method actually provides an efficient solution for cube systems with output saturation. The simulation results provide evidence of the feasibility of this approach. © 2024 SPIE. With the continuous increase of electrical resource demands, the reasonable energy allocation strategy can boost the effective utilization of energy and reduce carbon emission. However, existing allocation methods only concentrate the auction mechanism and ignore the equilibrium allocation. In this work, we propose a novel allocation strategy by deploying the double-sided auction mechanism and guarantee the fairness of proposed method. Subsequently, the Nash equilibrium theory is applied the proposed mechanism to achieve the optimization of allocation results. Finally, we compare our model with existing strategies in identical allocation data-set. From our extensive analysis, we can conclude the model can achieve the allocation for electrical resources with effective responses and acceptable social welfare. © 2023 IEEE.

According to the Geophysical Institute of Peru, the city of Huancayo presents high values of acceleration and dynamic intensity, classified as a zone of great seismic danger. This work develops the Stewart platform as a seismic isolator for water storage tanks through active control in the city of Huancayo. For the dynamic analysis of the structure we took into account the properties of the fluid, impulsive mass, convective mass, modeled and analyzed by SAP2000 to analyze the structural behavior, Revit 2021, SolidWorks and also used the Arduino Mega and a gyroscope to obtain the acting vibrations in the 3 different directions and to process them to move the pistons in the opposite direction to the movement. Finally it was obtained that the Stewart platform helps to reduce vibrations in the structure by the 6 degrees of freedom it has, in the analysis of the tank walls it was observed that the moments were reduced by 62.47% and the lateral displacements were reduced achieving stabilization of the structure through active control. © 2023 IEEE.

Ultra Wide Band (UWB) is widely used because of its high precision and anti-interference in positioning. In the location system, the location models based on Toa, TDOA and RSSI all need to deploy three or more base stations in order to locate the target accurately. In this paper, a location scheme combining TOA and AOA is proposed. The target can be located accurately by using a single base station, 3LS-PSO is introduced to optimize the dynamic positioning effect. © 2024 ACM.

The multi vehicle queue system composed of intelligent networked vehicles has attracted wide attention because of its high road traffic rate, low energy consumption and strong vehicle safety. It is generally regarded as one of the basic forms of intelligent transportation in the future. Most of the existing researches involving multi vehicle queues focus on the longitudinal stability control of the queue system. The implicit assumption is that vehicles have formed a queue or are located in the same lane. However, in the real traffic scene, due to the complexity of the environment, the vehicles are likely to travel in different lanes at different speeds, so the research of multi fleet formation control has important practical significance. © 2023 IEEE.
