This paper presents a simulation analysis study for different data center networks employing MPLS technique as a fault tolerance mechanism to ensure availability via a backup paths. However, to illustrate the efficiency of using MPLS, each data center (namely: Fat Tree, Diamond, DCell, c-Through) is built with two scenarios networks one with MPLS and another without MPLS, so 8 scenarios are evaluated. In each scenario, the servers are used to run the applications (FTP, HTTP, VoIP and database, hence, VoIP, HTTP, FTP, and database applications are used to evaluate the performance of different data center networks. © 2023 IEEE.

The fisheye camera is widely used in computer vision because of its large field of view. However, in optical theory, the large field of view is at the cost of distortion. It is impossible to obtain effective information directly from the fisheye image, so the original image needs to be distorted first to become a linear image without distortion. Aiming at the existence of traditional longitude correction in the image center, edge correction effect is different and edge distortion, introducing the repositioning center algorithm and stretch factor. Firstly, the effective area of fisheye image is obtained by row-by-row column scanning method. And then uses the repositioning center algorithm to obtain the new center and radius, according to the distortion principle to calculate the distortion principle. The mapping relationship between the target image and the original image is obtained, and finally modified by the bilinear interpolation method. Compared with the traditional longitude correction, the proposed algorithm can correct the fisheye image accurately and effectively, and improve the quality of correction. © 2023 SPIE.

As a badminton lover, I decided to create a mobile application-based system based on the experience of the existing online booking system in order to solve the problem of booking badminton courts every time. The requirements of the majority of users are studied and the functionalities and pages of the OwnBook application are designed based on the total demand analysis through inquiry and research. To develop and implement this paper, Unified Modeling Language (UML), SQLite, Android Studio, and the JAVA programming language are used. The OwnBook badminton booking system will address the problems of the present system, allowing users to book badminton courts more easily. © 2023 IEEE.

A new approach is proposed within this paper to accelerate the process of a biologically inspired Hieratical Model and X (HMAX), which is a biologically stimulated method, this model has been an efficient procedure for object recognition. Object recognition is beneficial in numerous applications such as driverless cars, and security systems. However, patches in HMAX are extracted randomly, causing in production redundant and uninformed extracted patches. Also, there is not any mechanism to evaluate them, these play a big challenge step for achieving high recognition accuracy. This paper presents a technique for selecting specific kinds of features of an image established on a Shi-Tomasi Corner Detector. A proposed approach is applied to the Caltech5 dataset. In the training stage, 70% of images are used. The results appear significant achievements in object recognition accuracies. © 2023 IEEE.

The Navisworks software in BIM technology is used to integrate and browse the engineering project, and the data structure of the engineering project is given. Navisworks was used for modeling and 3D display. A large-scale building 3D simulation system is established by using CAD solid modeling method. A 3D simulation image of the building was drawn using Navisworks visualization software. Then, the regulation algorithm of energy cost increase of prefabricated buildings based on life cycle is studied. The project cost is predicted by using BIM technology and grey system principle. A dynamic cost management model is established by integrating with the obtained increment index, and the correlation law between various cost growth indexes is obtained by using this model. The model is improved according to relevant strategies. In this way, energy consumption and cost growth in the whole construction process can be controlled. Experiments show that the 3D simulation images of large-scale buildings built by this system have higher definition and lower computing time. © 2024 IEEE.

Strawberry disease and pest identification and control were rarely studied, with few high-quality open image datasets to date. In view of this situation, firstly, the images of common strawberry pests and diseases of 13 categories were collected both online and offline independently to be constructed into datasets. Secondly, the SE-ResNeXt50 model was created, which had better usability than the residual network model ResNet50. To be specific, the Inception was combined with the ResNet50 model to widen the network, 32 branches were set, and the attention mechanism, the squeeze and excitation module (SE), was also imported, which solved the problems of the complex image background and information interference and improved the identification efficiency and accuracy of the model. The results showed that the accuracy of the SE-ResNeXt50 model, reaching 89.3%, was 8% higher than that of the ResNet50 model. The SEResNeXt50 model had plateaued after iterating 15 times, indicating its good identification performance. Besides, the SEResNeXt50 model, which was developed based on the data obtained in real life, had good generalization ability and robustness, better meeting the demands of strawberry growers. A WeChat mini-program for strawberry disease and pest identification based on the SE-ResNeXt50 model was developed, enabling the fruit growers to identify the strawberry pests and diseases easily and get prevention suggestions, promoting the development of the strawberry industry. © 2022 IEEE.

In underwater acoustic sensor networks (UASNs), effective congestion control is essential for ensuring reliable data transmission and resource efficiency, especially in the face of challenging environmental factors such as water velocity, pressure, temperature, and salinity. This paper introduces a novel Adaptive Fairness-Indexed Congestion control (AFICC) mechanism that employs Q-learning to dynamically adjust transmission rates among nodes, ensuring equitable resource distribution and minimizing congestion. Our simulations, conducted with 100 nodes at depths of up to 1000 meters, reveal that AFICC significantly outperforms two existing algorithms: Rate-Based Congestion control (RBCC) and Energy-Aware Congestion control (EACC). Specifically, AFICC achieved a Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR) of 93%, compared to 85% for RBCC and 80% for EACC. Additionally, the End-to-End Delay was reduced to an average of 150 milliseconds with AFICC, while RBCC and EACC recorded delays of 220 milliseconds and 210 milliseconds, respectively. AFICC also demonstrated a 25% improvement in Energy Efficiency over EACC and maintained a Jain's Fairness Index of 0.92, surpassing the 0.82 and 0.78 indices achieved by RBCC and EACC, respectively. These results confirm that AFICC offers a robust framework for congestion control in UASNs, effectively adapting to fluctuating underwater conditions while ensuring reliable communication and equitable resource allocation. © 2024 IEEE.

The general control system of bamboo splitting machine is controlled by Programmable Logic controller (PLC), which is one of the most expensive devices in industrial automation control system. For some small enterprises or occasions with limited budget, the cost may become a limiting factor. Moreover, the technical threshold is high. Programming and debugging of PLC require professional technical personnel, and a relatively solid theoretical foundation of automation control is needed. Therefore, for some enterprises with lower technical levels, the use and maintenance may pose certain difficulties. To solve this problem, we have designed a set of bamboo splitting machine control system based on STM32 and touch screen. In the selection of HMI hardware, we choose a 2K touch screen with support for ten-point touch on the notebook computer, and equipped with a 64-bit processor chip i5-1135G7 based on the Intel core as the core processor. In terms of touch interface design, we introduce the comprehensive design of database technology and HMI interaction technology. In terms of HMI software interface programming, we adopt the method of object-oriented programming to achieve data communication transmission with the touch screen, upper computer and equipment. Through the Modbus-crc16 communication protocol, direct communication between STM32 and computer touch screen hardware is achieved. After debugging, the system runs stably with fast response speed and wide applicability. It reduces the reliance on traditional HMI hardware and speeds up the product development cycle. The design can achieve the desired display and control effects in the bamboo splitting machine system, providing a new way for the development of the bamboo splitting machine control system. © 2024 IEEE.

The Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA) is an important method for evaluating upper limb motor functionality in stroke patients. However, traditional assessments by therapists not only increase the cost of labor and money, but also is subjective. In this paper, we propose a novel automated FMA system to overcome these limitations that patients cannot be accurately assessed in time. We use camera to capture the motion of the upper limb and then extract motion features. The MLP classification algorithm is developed to assign FMA scores using the features obtained from camera. Our work achieves average accuracy of 98.9% and 97.7% on a dataset of 15 volunteers and a dataset of S patients. Our result shows high accuracy and offers guidance to an automated assessment system. © 2023 IEEE.

In this investigation, output error models based on two-stage and auxiliary models are investigated with those based on least squares and recursive least squares algorithms. The main principle is to use the decomposition technique and the auxiliary model identification notion to separate a system into two subsystems, each of which comprises a parameters variable. Then, employ each algorithm separately. Root mean square error is applied to calculate model validation procedures. Compared with the two stage model-based recursive least squares algorithm, the TS-RLS algorithm has more parameter estimated accuracy. © 2023 IEEE.
