This paper proposes an architecture of an ARM-based remote video electronic information monitoring system. The system converts the embedded Linux terminal system memory allocation problem into a 0-1 knapsack problem. The system solves the knapsack problem by dynamic programming method to realize the memory optimization of embedded Linux terminal system. The system is sent to the client through the sending program based on Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP) to realize real-time encoding and sending. At the same time, the system realizes the CGI programming of A/D data acquisition. The experimental results show that the system has better real-time performance, clearer images and meets the system design requirements.

Adopting distance learning with a high level of quality in universities and educational institutions is a real challenge. Therefore, several studies and organizations have provided different standards to evaluate the quality of long-distance and to measure the obstacles. This study examines the quality obstacles of the long-distance learning techniques applied at the Faculty of Information Technology at the University of Benghazi, Libya. The British Quality Assurance Agency (BQAA) standards are utilized and presented as a questionnaire to the students at the faculty. The total participant number is 223 respondents. The study findings show that the students face severe challenges in all categories of the BQAA of technical, social, and organizational obstacles. The level of challenges is represented in the negativity of the response 69.1%, 60.1%, and 59.44% of the determined categories.

It is necessary to regularly enhance the traffic light system’s control using the newest technology. The PLC-based systems that are now in use make it difficult to adopt modern technologies like artificial intelligence, machine learning, and the internet of things etc. This work aims to convert the logic level signal based on PLC to a logic level signal based on Raspberry Pi. A raspberry pi is used as the control unit in the development of an experimental four direction-based traffic light prototype. Two different types of logic level converters are used in this system to create signals that are compatible with both 24 V traffic light system and Raspberry Pi. Python programming on the Raspberry Pi is used to control the entire system.

Static Series Synchronous Compensator (SSSC) is one of the controllable reactive power series compensators, which is applied to modify the power flow in the transmission line and enhance the electrical grid’s small-signal stability. In this paper, a novel damping controller for the electrical network equipped with SSSC is presented considering H ∞ control theory and Teaching Learning Based Optimization (TLBO) algorithm based on a fixed structure control scheme to reduce the controller order and minimize the system error. The suggested mechanism guarantees both meet the robustness criteria and move the undamped and lightly damped nodes toward the specified stability region. Therefore, a fixed structure controller is employed and designed by proposing a novel optimization problem. Moreover, SMIB connected to the SSSC system is applied to analyze the electrical network’s small-signal stability. Finally, the proposed controller performance is compared to other conventional robust control methods and the simulation results show the controller achieves both excellent damping and acceptable robust performance compared to other methods.
