Having a high mortality rate, colorectal cancer (CRC) is the second most prevalent disease in women and the third most prevalent cancer in males. The majority of CRCs are derived from intestinal or colonic polyps. Colorectal cancer, commonly referred to as bowel cancer, is a type of cancer that arises when cells in the colon, rectum, or appendix grow out of control. Early colonic polyp detection and excision is the most effective strategy to prevent CRC. In the proposed study, feature extraction is carried out using local feature descriptors. The feature selection is carried out using the correlation filter method-and wrapper-based techniques and then applied to machine learning algorithms that can be utilized to identify and classify polyps. The Kvasir [1] and CVC Clinic dataset is used in the proposed effort to categorize the polyps. Before feature selection, features are extracted using local feature descriptors such as the Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM) [2], Local Binary Pattern (LBP) [3], and Histogram of Oriented Gradients (HOG) [4] we get 1789 features. Then correlation-based feature selection (CFS) [5] is used to find the relevant features. After that apply a wrapper-based strategy to locate the most relevant feature by using the Naive Bayes classifier. The model performances are assessed using Bayes Network, Naive Bayes, Stochastic Gradient Descent, Support Vector Machine, Random Forest, and Logistic Model Tree. The three types of polyps can be classified in the proposed model. They are large polyps, normal polyps, and small polyps. It is evaluated by using the evaluation metrics such as Recall, Precision, Accuracy, Specificity, F-Score, Area under the Curve and Kappa score. The Bayes Network is the best classifier and shows an accuracy of 99.3%. © 2022 IEEE.

In this paper, a cascaded chaotic map (SL-L map) is improved to obtained wider chaotic ranges and more complex chaotic behaviors. Using the characteristics of bit plane decomposition, an image encryption algorithm based on improved chaotic map and staggered combination diffusion is designed. Firstly, the plain image is separated into 8 bit-planes by bit plane decomposition, and 4 bit-planes are formed by staggered combination. Then the improved Zigzag transform and bit-level diffusion are used to complete the permutation and diffusion respectively. Finally, the encryption is completed by using chaotic sequence to control plane synthesis. Simulation results and security analysis show that the algorithm can effectively resist various typical attacks.

The evaluation of breast cancer plays a crucial role in its diagnosis through various imaging modalities. Although Convolutional Neural Network-based deep learning (DL) methods have significantly advanced this process, they are hindered by high computational demands and restricted spatial encoding capabilities. In contrast, vision Transformer-based DL offers a compelling alternative due to its superior ability to encode spatial information efficiently. This study presents a breast cancer detection framework using a modified vision transformer (Mod- ViT) architecture across four publicly available datasets; mammogram (InBreast and MIAS) and ultrasound (BUSI and Mendeley). The workflow involves three key stages: data collection, image preprocessing, and classification. Mod- ViT utilizes transfer learning by modifying the pretrained vision transformer with additional layers, including flattening, batch normalization, dense, dropout, and a fully connected classification layer. The proposed Mod- ViT model was evaluated on each dataset, yielding superior performance metrics compared to VGG-16, ResNet-50, and VGG-19. On the InBreast dataset, Mod-ViT achieved 98.74% accuracy, 96.54% precision, 97.62% recall, and 98.25% F1-score, highlighting its ability to capture global mammogram features effectively. Similarly, on MIAS, BUSI, and Mendeley datasets, Mod- ViT consistently outperformed other models with accuracies of 99.92 %, 98.61 %, and 99.31 %, respectively. These results demonstrate Mod-ViT's robustness in classifying benign, malignant, and normal cases across diverse imaging modalities. By employing advanced attention mechanisms and effectively processing spatial and contextual information, Mod- ViT has shown its capability to address the complexities of breast cancer detection. This work highlights the promise of transformer-based models in enhancing diagnostic precision and reliability in medical imaging.

Intelligent control system (ICS) is a new type of control system that combines advanced intelligent control technologies, such as big data and artificial intelligence, with traditional DCS, and it is the development direction of realizing production process intelligence in thermal power plants. In this paper, for the third-party intelligent applications other than DCS manufacturers, and in view of the deficiencies of existing intelligent control systems in terms of integration and extensibility, we propose a general intelligent control platform architecture design based on "microservices + containerization" and "unified interface + modularization". The platform integrates DCS internal communication interface and human-computer interaction interface, realizes the integrated monitoring and closed-loop control of general intelligent control platform and DCS, and is compatible with a variety of DCS and intelligent applications developed in different programming languages. The successful on-line operation of the general intelligent control platform on a 600MW unit of a power plant has verified the rationality and effectiveness of the system architecture design.

Software Defined Network (SDN) is a new architecture that separates the data layer from the control ***, this architecture of SDN is not enough to resist all denial of service attacks. For example, low-rate denial of service attacks (LDoS) are periodic, low-rate, and very hidden. To solve this problem, this paper designs a real-time attack detection system on the SDN architecture. LightGBM optimized by Ant Colony Optimization (ACO-LightGBM) is a primary tool for LDoS attack detection, and Mininet is used to simulate the real LDoS attack environment. Experiments show that LightGBM optimized by ant colony algorithm has the best detection performance compared with several other classifiers.

Normal people typically communicate using voice, while deaf individuals use sign language to communicate with each other. However, a challenge arises when deaf people need to interact with those who do not understand sign language. To address this issue, we propose developing a model that can recognize Indian Sign Language and translate it into text. Deep learning approaches have been used into computer vision in recent years, greatly advancing the area of sign language identification and improving accessibility for the deaf. To achieve real-time recognition of Indian Sign Language, we have used YOLO NAS (You Only Look Once Neural Architecture Search) object detection *** YOLO NAS architecture achieves 0.9568 mean Average Precision (mAP) with intersection over union (IoU) threshold of $\mathbf{5 0 \%}$ across $\mathbf{1 0 0}$ classes, using our selfcreated Sign Language dataset.

As the application of machine vision system in industry becomes more and more widespread, product information is more and more presented in the form of image data. Process capability analysis of image data has become an important issue in statistical process control. This analysis is important to measure that products meet the quality standards. This paper proposes a method for analyzing process capability based on the coefficient of variation of image data. Firstly, the average value of the gray value of each region after segmentation is extracted by super-pixel segmentation of the image data. Secondly, the upper and lower limits of specifications are determined by the maximum and minimum values of the average values of each region. Finally, the process capability index and its nonconformity rate are calculated. Experiments are conducted on printed circuit board (PCB) as an example, and the nonconforming rate in actual production are compared. The results show that the method can effectively analyze the image data for process capability and improve the efficiency of quality control.

In India, trains are vital mode of transportation for millions, the safety of railway infrastructure is of utmost importance. In this work, a detection system has been developed using the YOLOv5 algorithm to overcome the challenges of traditional railway track inspection methods, which are manual, labor-intensive, inconsistent, and often hazardous for workers. This system enhances safety and efficiency by employing a web camera mounted on a self-propelled vehicle to capture continuous images of railway tracks. These images are pre-processed and then analyzed in real-time using a YOLOv5-trained model, which excels in accurately detecting cracks. Ultrasonic sensor is used to detect obstacles and avoid collisions. Upon detecting a crack and unwanted objects on the track, the system takes immediate action by halting the vehicle ensuring precise and timely responses to potential issues. Simultaneously, an alert message is sent to authorize personnel. The system achieves precision of 94.74%, recall with 90% and accuracy with 92.5%.

In order to analyze the reasons for the decrease in the transmission polarization isolation of the shipborne satellite antenna, the reasons for the decrease in the polarization isolation were explored in terms of the antenna's three-axis architecture and the circular polarizer of the feed system. First, the definition and test method of polarization isolation are introduced, and then the different polarization modes of electromagnetic waves are expressed by mathematical formulas. On this basis, the polarization angle error caused by the tracking of the antenna three-axis architecture and the inaccurate position of the limit switch of the circular polarizer are analyzed, and the polarization isolation is reduced. The actual results are used to verify that the C-axis introduces the opposite polarization. Finally, countermeasures were proposed for the impact of isolation. © 2021 IEEE.

In this era, watermarking has been considered to be the emerging technology in the digital world and an asset to various social economics domain which pin-pointing the concern in securing the data, privacy and intellectual property. In this review paper, 35 research papers have been reviewed which were published between 2020 and 2025 highlighting the major takeaways including usage and depth knowledge of watermarking techniques in different domain, its advantages and applications using machine learning. This research broader the vision in various sectors such as healthcare, meeting the challenge of securing and protecting the data. A comprehensive exploration of modern watermarking technologies in enhancing digital security through increased diversity in application and privacy. Consequently, this lesser the chances of illegal usage or distribution of intellectual properties and safeguards one's contribution. Thus, among the techniques of digital watermarking include frequency and spatial methods, with frequency domain offering better robustness. Also performance achieved through the deep learning-based methods considered to be highly adaptive, imperceptible, and highly secure watermarking solutions. © 2025 IEEE.
