In the previous several years, the field of 3D reconstruction and generation has been growth rapidly and produced multiple approaches for different sub-tasks such as representing 3D structure, convolutional operations or generating latent vector for feature extraction. With the aim of surveying approaches in different conceptions, we have classified and studied six representative articles published in 2018 to 2021. This article focuses on discuss how the different representations or convolution process effect on the performance and output shapes. For each method, it covers their main motivations and attributions, the conceptions or architecture of the learning model, their experiment datasets and approach, and the result of their works. In the next part, we go through the analysis at the present stage of related research and discuss the potential future works inspired by potential optimization. This work is an effort to comprehensive research of current approach of 3D reconstruction task, and it can provide reference guide for those who are interested in such field. © 2022 IEEE.

India has a vast tuberculosis (TB) burden that requires rapidly identifying pathogens. This is critical to outbreak detection and sentinel surveillance;however, most diagnoses are made in laboratory settings. Artificial intelligence (AI) and computer vision advancements offer unprecedented opportunities to facilitate detection and reduce response time in field settings. This research investigates the potential of Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) in Tuberculosis (TB) diagnostics, addressing the urgent need for innovative strategies in early discernment and precise diagnosis of this prevalent infectious disease. GANs, known for their success in medical image analysis, hold great promise for changing tuberculosis screening and diagnosis methods. Researchers want to improve the accuracy and efficiency of TB detection by using GAN-based approaches to generate synthetic TB-related medical images and identify subtle abnormalities associated with the disease. By integrating GAN-generated insights with clinical data, predictive analytics models can be developed to facilitate early TB detection and predict disease progression, empowering healthcare practitioners to make informed decisions and potentially improving patient outcomes. Additionally, GAN-powered predictive analytics have the potential to transform TB screening programs, particularly in resource-constrained settings, by offering cost-effective and scalable solutions that extend the reach of TB screening efforts, facilitating early detection and intervention to mitigate the impact of the disease. Furthermore, predictive analytics extends its role beyond detection to encompass personalized medicine approaches in TB management, enabling tailored treatment strategies that optimize alternative interventions, enhance treatment efficacy, and minimize adverse effects, thereby reducing the burden of TB on healthcare systems. © 2024 IEEE.

Recently, works related to video action recognition focus on using hybrid streams as input to get better results. Those streams usually are combinations of RGB channel with one additional feature stream such as audio, optical flow and pose information. Among those extra streams, posture as unstructured data is more difficult to fuse with RGB channel than the others. In this paper, we propose our Heavy Pose Empowered RGB Nets (HPER-Nets)-an end-To-end multitasking model-based on the thorough investigation on how to fuse posture and RGB information. Given video frames as the only input, our model will reinforce it by merging the intrinsic posture information in the form of part affinity fields (PAFs), and use this hybrid stream to perform further video action recognition. Experimental results show that our model can outperform other different methods on UCF-101, UMDB and Kinetics datasets, and with only 16 frames, a 95.3% Top-1 accuracy on UCF101, a 69.6% on HMDB and a 41.0% on Kinetics have been recorded. © 2023 IEEE.

The rise in popularity of online platforms like social media, search engine optimisation, and email has propelled a field of Sentiment Analysis, which seeks to decipher an underlying meaning of a text, to the forefront of global discourse. In order to do sentiment analysis on Amazon product evaluations, this article presents a comparison examination of several machine learning algorithms. SVM, DT, RFC, CNN, and LSTM models will be the primary targets of their investigation. Research using sentiment analysis involves customers who are aware of how a product makes them feel. The data collection utilised is a Kaggle of product reviews from Amazon. It turns out that the LSTM ML algorithm is the most accurate of all the ones that were tried. The results show the LSTM model shows a higher accuracy of 97%, in comparison to other models. Research like this improves both the decision-making process and the online buying experience by shedding light on customer opinion. © 2024 IEEE.

How heterogeneous connectivity determines dynamical processes and control strategies on complex systems is a core problem in network science. While a vast majority of studies focus on dynamical systems and control theory for single-layer networks, this paper is dedicated to investigating multilayer networks based on a tensorial framework. In this study, a control strategy on multilayer networks is proposed for selecting controlled node-layer tuples which can maximise the convergence rate of the dynamical process of consensus on general multilayer networks in cases of sufficiently small controlling strength. Mathematical derivation, including matricisation and perturbation methods, demonstrates that this optimal selection strategy follows the ranking of node-layer tuples according to a novel multilayer centrality measure called the Left Eigentensor Index (LEtI). Numerical simulations also support our theoretical result. © 2023 IEEE.

Drivers' human factors account for a large proportion of traffic accidents, and effective monitoring and real-time warning of fatigue and distracted driving are becoming more and more important. In this project, we provide a detailed overview of the problems and solutions of driver distraction and fatigue driving behavior monitoring methods, propose a YOLO-D2A algorithm to improve the accuracy and real-time driving behavior detection and maintain the optimal balance, and discuss the principles and methods in detail. © 2023 IEEE.

With the rapid development of artificial intelligence and the arrival of an aging population, the need for intelligent service robots is increasing. Older adults and the blind are susceptible to slipping due to weak vision, especially when they cannot see water on indoor floors. We use computer vision technology to solve this problem. However, it is challenging to detect floor water using existing target detection algorithms due to uncertainty about its shape and size. This paper proposes a floor water detection technology based on improved Resnet, which can be deployed on the intelligent service robot to remind the elderly and the blind to be careful When the service robot detects water in the ground. Our proposed topics and methods can significantly reduce the probability of the elderly and blind people slipping. The method proposed in this paper is 3.6% higher than the original Resnet18 and 8.1% higher than Mobilenetv2;the number of parameters in our method is only 8.5 percent of VGG16_bn and yet achieves similar performance to VGG16_bn. This paper suggests a new trajectory for intelligent service robots by detecting water on the floor, and it has demonstrated promising results in accuracy and speed. It is hoped that this paper will arouse more scholars' interest in the detection technology of floor water. © 2023 IEEE.

Screen content video (SCV) distinguished from traditional natural video by its unique features, such as rich texture edges and flat areas. However, existing rate control algorithms are better fit for natural video than for SCV. A novel rate control (RC) algorithm for screen content coding (SCC) in Versatile Video Coding (VVC) is proposed in this paper. Specifically, spatial-temporal features at both CTU and frame levels of adjacent original and reconstructed frames are calculated based on 3D-LOG filter to guide bit allocation in CTU level. Considering the visual characteristics of human vision system, the rate distortion (R-D) model is redesigned. Extensive experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method, which improves the R-D performance and the accuracy of the bit-rate control. © 2023 SPIE.

For the current brightness gain and maximum output brightness adjustment method of image intensifier has low efficiency, time-consuming, low precision, and other problems, this paper firstly studies a communication protocol from the perspective of digital communication of auto-gating power supply microcontroller. By means of communication with the host computer, the corresponding parameters of the internal program of the auto-gating power supply microcontroller are adjusted. Secondly, the hardware interface of the whole tube communication of the image intensifier is designed. Finally, the calibrated experimental device is used to adjust the brightness gain and maximum brightness of the whole tube, and the automatic brightness control function of the adjusted whole tube is verified. The adjustment time is short, the adjustment precision is high, and the matching between the auto-gating power supply and the image tube can be better realized. © 2023 SPIE.

3D imaging technology has wide applications in fields such as autonomous driving and engineering surveying. Among them, TOF (Time of Flight) 3D and binocular vision 3D imaging technology are the two most commonly used methods. This study investigated the influence of distance and light intensity on the ranging accuracy of TOF and binocular vision imaging methods theoretically and experimentally. An adaptive weighting-based high-precision range image generation method for the entire range was proposed. The basic idea was to assign different weights to the TOF range image and binocular vision range image at different distance intervals and use the prior weight fitting results at different light intensities and distances to guide the weighted processing of each point of the range image. And then high-precision range imaging results with higher ranging accuracy than the original TOF image and binocular vision imaging were obtained. The PSNR value increased by an average of 7.15% compared to binocular vision and increased 1.17% compared to TOF. Distance error MSE value decreased by an average of 34.76% compared to binocular vision and decreased 7.87% compared to TOF. Experimental results demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed method, which provided a useful idea and means for further improving the ranging accuracy of existing range imaging methods. © 2023 SPIE.
