As a key component in the drive axle assembly, the performance of the drive axle housing directly affects the driving safety and transportation efficiency of the car. The strength and stiffness of the drive axle housing are important factors affecting its load-bearing capacity. Especially under overloading, insufficient strength and stiffness of the drive axle housing can lead to faults such as oil leakage, cracking at the weld seam, and fracture at the shaft head. By researching and improving the drive axle housing, it can effectively improve the driving safety and transportation efficiency of automobiles, and meet market demand. This article takes the driving axle housing of a heavy truck as an example, establishes a three-dimensional finite element analysis model, and uses computer CAE technology to analyze its structural strength using the ANSYS working platform. The analysis results indicate that they are all smaller than the allowable values for the design of the drive axle housing matrix material, and the design meets the requirements. This analysis result has been applied to design, providing practical reference and guidance for enterprises to design, manufacture, inspect, and optimize their products. © 2024 SPIE.

With the rapid development of Internet of Things technology, home intelligence has become an inevitable trend. The design of the intelligent ecological fish tank system aims to improve the automation level of ornamental fish farming and promote the healthy and sustainable development of the ornamental fish industry through sensor technology, wireless communication technology, and integrated circuit technology. The system takes the living environment of ornamental fish as the monitoring object, and adopts the sensor system to collect the key environmental indicators such as the breeding environment temperature, water quality, pH, light intensity in real time. On the basis of the monitoring environment, combined with the control technology, the system can realize the functions of water temperature regulation, feeding control, driving water change, oxygen addition, etc., ensure the stable and suitable breeding environment, create suitable living conditions for different varieties of ornamental fish, and achieve scientific and rational cultivation of ornamental fish. The implementation of this system can significantly improve the intelligence level of ornamental fish farming, reduce labor costs, and improve the survival rate of ornamental fish, which has certain application value. © 2024 SPIE.

This research includes the creation and execution of a Self-Balancing Robot (SBR) that is operated by stepper motors. The robot's primary operation depends on the accurate manipulation of pulse-driven stepper motors, obviating the necessity for a feedback loop. The design utilizes two NEMA-17 stepper motors to control the wheels. It exploits micro-stepping to achieve a stepping angle of 1.8 degrees and minimize overshoot, ringing, and resonance. The SBR incorporates a strategically positioned battery to achieve a design that is weighted towards the top, hence improving the sensation of input when tilting. The essential electronic components include an Arduino Uno microcontroller, DRV8825 stepper motor drivers, an HC-05 Bluetooth module, and an MPU-6050 sensor for measuring the pitch angle through sensor fusion. The control system employs a Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controller to modify motor inputs according to the tilt angle, assuring stability. In addition, we provide a mathematical model of the stepper motor's properties and a state-space description of the *** into design concerns for such applications are provided by experimental data and model simulations that show how well the components and control algorithms work together to preserve the SBR's equilibrium. © 2024 IEEE.

Due to rapid urbanization and increasing energy use, Bangladesh is facing challenges in ensuring a reliable electricity supply, therefore it makes sensible to use more renewable resources in order to meet the rising energy demand. This research develops an energy management system (EMS) with two different approaches based on the facilities of various types of consumers. One approach uses renewable energy resource (RER) and energy storage system (ESS) with block rate tariff. Based on the state of charge (SOC) of the ESS and the availability of solar energy, this optimization system schedules energy resources, decides when to use or turn off the grid. Then the optimization problem is resolved using Interior-Point method. Another approach is load scheduling based on time-of-use tariff without utilizing of ESS and RER, solved by applying Genetic Algorithm. All of these methods are simulated in MATLAB. The optimization results are compared with the real-time electricity bills to confirm validate the model. It is shown that the simulation result of block rate tariff model using RER and ESS is more effective which reduces electricity costs by 68.97% and usages of grid energy by 75.23% than the load scheduling model. © 2024 IEEE.

Brain tumor is one of the most deadly diseases today. Early identification is the key in treatment and automated method of image classification can help in this process. But, there are significant obstacles in precisely identifying brain tumors and increasing the classification accuracy for different types of tumors. In order to address the problem, the work suggests a hybrid model for effectively detecting and classifying brain tumors. First, the obtained pictures are preprocessed with resizing, application of sharpening filter and final stage of contrast enhancement. Further preprocessing in carried out using the K-mean clustering algorithm Next, Feature extraction is done by using the BoVW together with LBP which deal with the overall and region-specific texture features respectively. Following that, the seven statistical features are extracted, and then they are utilized as input to the artificial neural network classifier in order to obtain the classification of the glioma, meningioma, and pituitary tumor. The training function 'Levenberg-Marquardt' is also used in this work. This method provides 99.0 % of accuracy on Dataset I and 99.2% accuracy on Dataset II. Moreover, in relation to other modern methods, the selected seven statistical features employed in this study are relatively limited in demonstrating this performance. © 2024 IEEE.

With the improvement of people's living standard, noise pollution has become a growing concern. For many of the field work needs of the cabin, setting the diesel generator set for a long time power supply is essential. Diesel generators are usually arranged in the oil compartment, and the oil compartment is a closed envelope structure, the noise structure design directly affect the surrounding noise level. Based on the equivalent circuit model, this paper makes a parametric study on the single-layer micro-perforated plate sound absorber by MATLAB numerical simulation, and analyzes the influence of various structural parameters on the sound absorption performance of the whole machine. By optimizing the double-layer micro-perforated plate composite structure using a genetic algorithm, the full absorption coefficient curve can be obtained in the required noise frequency band. Genetic algorithms are a class of randomized search methods evolved by drawing on the laws of evolution in biology (survival of the fittest, meritocratic genetic mechanism). Compared with the single-layer micro-perforated composite structure, the structure of the sound absorption coefficient and frequency range has been significantly improved. © 2024 SPIE.

In order to meet the higher requirements of today's rapidly developing technology for nano-actuators, such as high speed, high load, high precision, trajectory tracking and multiple degrees of freedom, this paper innovates the traditional inchworm drive principle and proposes a parallel inchworm actuator with two axes moving in concert, and realises the simultaneous control of the two axes through the input signals to realise each single step towards the established direction. The actuator consists of moveable unit and clamping unit, and due to the innovation in the structure of both, only three PZTs are required to realise the control of the inchworm actuator for both axes. In particular, the simultaneous control of different step lengths of the two axes was realised by means of input signals that enabled the realisation of each single step towards the established direction. And verified it with simulation software. Through the drive mode designed in this paper, the parallel drive can realise the coordinated motion of two degrees of freedom, and the drive efficiency is greatly improved, and it is especially suitable for precision guidance and other precision drive and positioning occasions that require trajectory tracking. © 2024 SPIE.

The irrigation systems in nurseries can be the cause of various water supply errors- ranging from lack of sufficient water supply to over-watering and imbalance in the water pH levels. Based on the statistics recorded by the department of agriculture and farmers welfare, we have conducted we concluded that the water supply management and plant life maintenance are the major problems. Considering all these real-time errors, we have designed a smart irrigation robot functioning on the inputs from a group of soil moisture sensors which helps eliminate the monotonous task of monitoring and keeping records of the change in soil moisture. © 2023 IEEE.

Aiming at the obstacle avoidance path optimization problem for a robot to reach a specified goal point in an area on the same plane, this paper analyzes different path optimization models, and at the same time divides the obstacles into two categories of vertices and no vertices, and divides them into different exclusion zones, and optimizes them according to the goals. The single-objective point shortest path model is divided into three models: no-goal zone vertex, turning radius, and turning center at the vertex shortest path model, and according to the path turning situation is divided into turning once and many times model, and at the same time, the shortest path time model is established and calculated. © 2023 IEEE.

Advanced malware poses a growing threat to the security of digital systems. This paper investigates the evolution of advanced malware, its stealthy characteristics, and the challenges it presents in contemporary cybersecurity. We analyse existing prevention strategies and propose an idea that leverages Python-based sandboxing, creating a virtual environment for malware analysis. This methodology aims to enhance the proactive detection and mitigation of advanced malware. Through empirical testing and case studies, the effectiveness of the sandboxing-based approach in thwarting emerging threats is analysed. This research contributes to the ongoing discourse on cybersecurity and offers practical insights for bolstering defences against evolving malware threats. © 2023 IEEE.
