Images play an important role in the making of attractive websites. And because of this it is impossible to remove images from the websites. Due to high costs of bandwidths and time consumption for up loading and downloading, image compression has become a necessity part of web services. In this paper, a Modified Forward-Only Counter Propagation (MFOCPN) neural network is suggested, in which the model inherits general space localization and frequency correlation of wavelets. The proposed neural network includes two training phases in the first phase fuzzy concepts is applied. in this phase, instead of winning a cluster, the weight of every cluster is updated regarding to the rate of similarity between the input vectors. The Lena image in different sizes has used to evaluate the suggested method. The experimental results in most cases has shown that the returned image in this method is comparison to Wavelet-MFOCPN has more quality of image compression. We achieved on average (%10) less MSE, based on a comparison between original image and returned of compression.

The design and implementation of a series of small-sized humanoid robots are proposed in this paper. The series includes three types of small-sized humanoid robots participating in AndroSot and HuroCup tournaments in FIRA 2010 and in RoboCup Japan Open 2011. Firstly, the architecture of the system hardware and software, the design process are addressed in details. Then, the new features of the robots and important principles for designing a robot are addressed in details. Finally, the three types of the robots are discussed and compared with the previous generations. This series of robots won the 3rd place in AndroSot tournament, the 1st place in HuroCup tournament in FIRA 2010, and the 2nd place in the KidSize Humanoid League in RoboCup Japan Open 2011.

Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) has recorded appreciable progress both in technology and application. Despite this progress, there still exist wide performance gap between human speech recognition (HSR) and ASR which has inhibited its full adoption in real life situation. A brief review of research progress on Yorùbá Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) is presented in this paper focusing of variability as factor contributing to performance gap between HSR and ASR with a view of x-raying the advances recorded, major obstacles, and chart a way forward for development of ASR for Yorùbá that is comparable to those of other tone languages and of developed nations. This is done through extensive surveys of literatures on ASR with focus on Yorùbá. Though appreciable progress has been recorded in advancement of ASR in the developed world, reverse is the case for most of the developing nations especially those of Africa. Yorùbá like most of languages in Africa lacks both human and materials resources needed for the development of functional ASR system much less taking advantage of its potentials benefits. Results reveal that attaining an ultimate goal of ASR performance comparable to human level requires deep understanding of variability factors.

A successful multi-agent system requires the intelligent agents to perform within a dynamically complex environment where proper and quick response in a cooperative manner is a primary key to successfully complete a task. This paper proposes a non-deterministic decision making method using electric fields and high-level decision making. Different layers are designed, defined, and implemented for the software architecture with focus on system adaptability, sustainability, and optimization. Consequently, a software architecture is proposed in this paper to complement the AI algorithms. The proposed architecture aims to provide a well-structured and managed system for control, behavior, and decision making of multi-agent systems. The proposed decision making approach in this paper is based on layered artificial intelligence implemented using vector-based fuzzy electric fields and a decision tree. Furthermore, an approach to model the world which, in this paper, is called Agent Relative Polar Localization is introduced. This world model is based on fuzzy measurements and polar coordinates. In order to optimize the overall performance of the system learning methods have been introduced to the system. The proposed system in this paper has been implemented on soccer robots to evaluate the performance of the system. The results show that the proposed system implemented on the soccer robots is reliable and robust.
