Aiming at the problems of cloud communication and storage congestion and computing delay caused by massive heterogeneous distribution data, a hierarchical architecture model of active distribution network based on edge computing was proposed. Firstly, the edge computing framework based on the functional architecture of industrial Internet is proposed, and the internal and external interaction modes of edge computing node data are specifically sorted out. According to the established data interaction modes, the interactive processing mechanism of cloud-edge collaboration is proposed. then, according to the logical protocol and physical architecture of active distribution network, the hierarchical architecture model of active distribution network based on edge computing is established to collect, interact and monitor the operating status, operating environment and electricity quantity data of distribution equipment. Finally, based on big data technology, the typical application scenarios of edge computing technology in actual power distribution are analyzed, and the efficiency, real-time, security and accuracy of edge computation-based power distribution big data system for local data storage and processing are verified. © 2021 acm.

In view of the problems of high application cost, opaque permission judgment process, mutual trust between domains, and difficulty in coordinating access control information of data resources in distributed environment, this paper proposes a blockchain-based cross-domain access control mechanism that supports inter-domain policy privacy protection, so as to achieve cross-domain secure sharing of data in the centerless mode. First, based on attribute-based access control, access control information such as policies and attributes is stored on the blockchain to achieve efficient distributed permission management; At the same time, an inter-domain policy privacy protection method based on SM4 and CP-ABE is designed to protect the privacy of access control policies between domains. Subsequently, the smart contract is used to realize the distributed trusted judgment of access control based on the on-chain permission information; Finally, compared with the existing cross-domain access control mechanism, it is verified that the proposed mechanism in this paper has certain advantages and good scalability, and can provide strong support for cross-domain data security access in a distributed environment.

Robot Operating System (ROS) is a popular middleware suite providing a set of libraries and tools to help with building robot applications. the ROS community makes it possible for developers to compose their own robot applications by simply integrating open-sourced software of different functionalities as standalone processes (ROS nodes) in their own application. these processes communicate with each other through the infrastructure provided by ROS, forming a graph of nodes called computation graph. However, adopting third-party software introduces the possibility of supply-chain attacks. By interacting with other nodes, the third-party ROS nodes seeming to be the most harmless can violate users' privacy, launch denial of service attacks, and even cause danger to human lives, due to the cyber-physical nature of robot applications. To allow effective security assessment of robot applications, we are the first to propose to explore a hybrid program analysis-based method to extract these interactions, i.e. the computation graph, from source code and identify the potentially malicious nodes within the graph. © 2022 Owner/Author.

A Smart City is a multidimensional entity based on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and intelligent (smart) use of urban infrastructures for improving the quality of life of its citizens. the management of such technologies and services for the citizens requires addressing adequately the security. the goal of this research work is to analyze existing potentially vulnerable devices in Smart Cities, in order to understand the security level of the city, and thus provide support for a secure management of the city. An analysis on 5 Italian Smart Cities was performed, each one was evaluated on different technological layers: Network and Infrastructure, Sensors, Service Delivery Platform, application and Services. the results show that currently there are potentially vulnerable devices across different technological levels that compromise security and privacy of smart services offered to citizens. the development of a Smart City requires the implementation of security controls, in order to reduce the possibility for attackers to exploit existing vulnerabilities in the analyzed devices. © 2020 Copyright for this paper by its authors. A vulnerability scanner is a computer program designed to assess computers, networks or applications for known weaknesses. It is a tool for reconnaissance and information gathering with an emphasis on simplicity. It will do everything from fetching DNS records, retrieving WHOIS information, obtaining TLS data, detecting WAF presence and up to threaded directory busting and subdomain enumeration. Every scan output to a corresponding file. At most of all vulnerability scanner scans are independent and do not rely on each other result it utilizes python's asyncio to run most scans asynchronously. Our tool supports Tor /proxy for anonymous routing. It uses default wordlists (for URL fuzzing and subdomain discovery) enumeration. this vulnerability scanner helps you scan your IP address ranges to discover open ports and other security vulnerabilities specific to network devices. © 2021 IEEE.

Climate change and migration have become one of the most challenging problems for our civilization. In this context, city councils work hard to manage essential services for citizens such as waste collection, street lamp lighting, and water supply. Increasingly, digitalization and the Internet of things (IoT) help cities improve services, increase productivity and reduce costs. However, to understand how this may happen, we explore the urban sensing capabilities from citizen- to city-scale, how sensing at different levels is interlinked, and the challenges of managing innovations based on IoT data and devices. Local authorities collaborate with researchers and deploy testbeds as a part of demonstration and research projects to perform the above data collection, improve city services, and support innovation. the data gathered is about indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, energy usage, built environment, structural health monitoring. Such monitoring requires IT infrastructure at three different tiers: at the endpoint, edge, and cloud. Managing infrastructure at all tiers with provisioning, connectivity, security updates of devices, user data privacy controls, visualization of data, multi-tenancy of applications, and network resilience, is challenging. So, in turn, we focus on performing a systematic study of the technical and non-technical challenges faced during the implementation, management, and deployment of devices into citizens' homes and public spaces. Our third piece of work explores IoT edge applications' resiliency and reliability requirements that vary from non-critical (best delivery efforts) to safety-critical with time-bounded guarantees. We investigate how to meet IoT application mixed-criticality QoS requirements in multi-communication networks. Finally, to demonstrate the principles of our framework in the real world, we implement an open-source air quality platform Open City Air Quality Platform (OpenCAQP), that merges a wide range of data so

Smart grid (SG) network is one of the recently improved networks of tangled entities, objects, and smart metering infrastructure (SMI). It plays a vital part in sensing, acquiring, observing, aggregating, controlling, and dealing with various kinds of fields in SG. the SMI or advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) is proposed to make available a real-time transmissions connection among users and services are Time of use (TOU), Real time pricing (RTP), Critical Peak Pricing (CPP). In adding to, additional benefit of SMs is which are capable to report back to the service control center in near real time nontechnical losses (for instance, tampering with meters, bypassing meters, and illicit tapping into distribution systems). SMI supports two-way transmission meters reading electrical utilization at superior frequency. this data is treated in real time and signals send to manage demand. this paper expresses a transitory impression of cyberattack instances in customary energy networks and SMI. this paper presents cyber security attacks and countermeasures in Smart Grid Metering Network (SGMN). Based on the existing survey threat models, a number of proposed ways have been planned to deal with all threats in the formulation of the secrecy and privacy necessities of SG measurement network. © 2021 IEEE.

Communication and information service systems are undergoing rapid advancements driven by the evolution of telecommunications and computer technology. the convergence of these fields has led to significant growth in digital networks, which has spurred extensive research and exploration. However, optimizing the use of these networks with minimal additional costs—while integrating features such as video conferencing, email services, and remote database access— remains a substantial technological challenge. this study addresses the limitations of current mobile communication networks by exploring potential enhancements through the application of smart computing solutions, particularly artificial intelligence (AI). the research methodology involves a comprehensive review of existing mobile communication technologies and their integration with AI. this includes examining advancements in AI and machine learning (ML) as applied to mobile networks, with a focus on improving performance, flexibility, and automation. the results of the review indicate that AI and ML have significant potential to enhance network operations. By leveraging vast data generated within 5G systems, these technologies can optimize resource utilization, improve service quality, and support diverse emerging applications. Despite these advancements, challenges such as reliability, speed trade-offs, complexity, privacy, and security persist. the findings highlight the need for further research in AI, including deep neural network acceleration, parallel computing, cloud computing, and distributed deep learning systems. Such research is crucial for enabling mobile communication networks to achieve higher throughput and ultra-low latency. Conclusively, while AI-enabled communication systems offer promising solutions to many challenges, simplifying AI implementation is essential for practical deployment. this will ensure that future communication networks can effectively meet the growing demands and evolving
