Blockchain is a technology that is essentially defined as a decentralized storage system for transactions, or ledger of all transactions or digital events that have been shared among the participating groups. A ridesharing system helps riders to reach a particular destination driven by the owner of the ride. there are many existing ridesharing services available in the market today. But most of these services are centralized and hosted by a third party which gives them the authority to monitor features like fare calculation, user data, etc. privacy and trust are major concerns in such a system. the purpose of our paper is to make a decentralized application for ride-sharing where all transactions, fare calculation, matching and information is stored on a Distributed Ledger. the ledger will be accessible to all the peers in the network. this will match users with rides in a decentralized way without relying on third parties of any centralized network which makes the system transparent and reliable. the data on blockchain is immutable. Hence, this technology is used to store rides and user information to maintain security and ensure user privacy.

Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) have become indispensable to Internet content distribution. As they evolve to meet the ever-increasing demands, they are also facing challenges such as system complexity, resource footprint, and content security. In this paper, we look at CDNs once again, but this time from the eyes of a young networking technology called named-data networking (NDN). NDN supports content distribution without requiring an overlay service to bridge the gap between network services and application needs. therefore, it can realize content distribution at large scale with an arguably simpler system design. We conducted real-world experiments to compare the standard deployment of NDN (i.e., the global NDN testbed) and two leading CDNs (Akamai and Fastly) in terms of caching and retrieving static contents through streaming videos from four different continents over these networks for two weeks. We found that although NDN can provide a satisfactory quality of service in most cases, it falls behind CDNs mainly due to its lack of hardware infrastructure and software/protocol immaturity. Nevertheless, NDN outperforms CDNs in terms of server workload and failure resiliency due to its ubiquitous in-network caching and adaptive forwarding plane. Besides, NDN comes with built-in content security, but it needs an efficient solution for content privacy. NDN's architectural advantages make it a natural fit for Internet content distribution in the long run. that said, in terms of forthcoming goals, this paper reveals several limitations of the current NDN deployment and discusses why the future of NDN hinges on addressing those limitations.

In view of the difficulties in sharing 3D digital resources, insufficient interconnection and interaction of massive heterogeneous 3D data resources, and lack of spatial data analysis foundation for equipment diagnosis in the power grid infrastructure operation inspection stage, combined with the actual needs of the company for deepening the application of 3D digital resources and through collaboration, this paper analyzes the characteristics of typical GIM models, point cloud models and other multi-media heterogeneous models and their problems in the infrastructure construction and operation inspection applications; Aiming at the deficiency of GIM model in texture, material and illumination, the discrete sampling of equipment GIM model and its attitude registration method with scanning point cloud model are studied to estimate the spatial pose transformation relationship between heterogeneous models, so as to realize the refinement of GIM model; On the basis of attitude registration, a unified coordinate system is established to realize the comprehensive reconstruction of the multi-source medium model and the plant and station digital model combining appearance and internal, provide three-dimensional digital resource sharing for power grid operation and maintenance, technical transformation and overhaul, support the digital connection of three-dimensional capital construction and operation inspection resources, improve the comprehensive utilization level of three-dimensional digital resources of the company, and promote the transformation of power grid infrastructure acceptance and operation inspection operation mode.

this paper proposes a holistic cybersecurity online tool to support implementation activities of the "National Framework for Cybersecurity & data Protection", one of its contextualizations, as well as the fifteen "Essential Cybersecurity Controls". It also aims at promoting its wide dissemination by SMEs. All the regulations, standards and national/international laws mentioned as "Informative References" for each Subcategory in the Framework Core are, in fact, made available through a web application where they can be consulted with a few clicks, guiding even less experienced users in the creation of their cybersecurity compliance projects. the research and analysis activities conducted with a systematic, global and conceptual approach - consistent with the original document - have been aimed at highlighting the substantial differences between IT/OT cybersecurity requirements in order to increase, through a comparative analysis, the cyber resilience of national critical infrastructures. Meanwhile, since an important step towards cyberspace security is a global increase in the level of cyber risk awareness, the tool aims to be used for education and training programs too, both at the corporate and academic levels, in order to bridge the skills gap in the job market between job seekers and employers. For this purpose, some of the main reference standards used for auditing, vulnerability assessment and risk management activities have been included. © 2021 for this paper by its authors. Plantar gait monitoring is an important aspect of clinical monitoring as diagnosis to determine the existence of walking abnormalities in patients. the current procedure followed within clinics is physical observation or making the use of platform systems. these methods are prone to bias and the psychological phenomena of Hawthorne Effect. Other more sophisticated methods prove to be expensive or infeasible to the average consumer class. To this end, we have developed a novel gait monitoring system: I-Gressus that can be worn by the patient for natural gait monitoring over long periods of time with an additional cloud based data logging capability. the system makes use of resistive pressure sensing array mounted on an insole controlled via an ESP8266 WiFi SoC which logs data wirelessly on a cloud based web application. this footwear can be worn throughout the day for continuous monitoring and is relatively inexpensive to manufacture and maintain. To evaluate the devised prototype testing scenarios with various control cases have been performed. the resulting analysis shows that the model is capable of rapid diagnosis and data logging that outperforms the utility offered by various other gait monitoring frameworks under the price of $135.

Web servers are a popular target for adversaries as they are publicly accessible and often vulnerable to compromise. Compromises can go unnoticed for months, if not years, and recovery often involves a complete system rebuild. In this paper, we propose n-m-Variant Systems, an adversarial-resistant software rejuvenation framework for cloud-based web applications. We improve the state-of-the-art by introducing a variable m that provides a knob for administrators to tune an environment to balance resource usage, performance overhead, and security guarantees. Using m, security guarantees can be tuned for seconds, minutes, days, or complete resistance. We design and implement an n-m-Variant System prototype to protect a Mediawiki PHP application serving dynamic content from an external SQL persistent storage. Our performance evaluation shows a throughput reduction of 65% for 108 seconds of resistance and 83% for 12 days of resistance to sophisticated adversaries, given appropriate resource allocation. Furthermore, we use theoretical analysis and simulation to characterize the impact of system parameters on resilience to adversaries. through these efforts, our work demonstrates how properties of cloud-based servers can enhance the integrity of Web servers. © 2020 acm.

Wi-Fi will be the preferred access network in smart infrastructure, which is a considerably cheaper alternative of mobile broadband. Emerging services such as Internet of things (IoT), virtual reality (VR) and ehealth, which require carrier-grade quality have shifted data traffic. therefore, smart infrastructures need an extensive analysis of application requirements and user expectations. this paper presents the concept of cumulative network parameter monitoring and analysis in order to improve overall Wi-Fi quality in smart infrastructure. the proposed concept incorporates security and privacy in addition to generic performance parameters. the cumulative network parameters monitoring and analysis investigates various parameters in order to assess overall quality rather than individual performance parameter monitoring for a particular service. Hence, cumulative network parameter monitoring and analysis concept can establish a baseline to estimate user acceptability objectively rather than costly subjective assessments.

Mobile crowdsensing is a service based on a group of different individuals that have a device. the MCS (Mobile crowdsensing) is used for communication and transferring of data. It is capable of sensing and computing such data that are based on some information such as measuring, mapping, analyzing, and estimating. It can be used for effective decision-making in-crowd. the data generated in by crowd is used for task generation, and the task is assigned to different users and requesters. Due to numerous jobs, there can be a situation of task similarity generates, which may affect the privacy of users or workers in crowdsensing. the problem of privacy can be solved with the help of privacy protection techniques in crowdsensing. this work aims to propose a system based MCS technique for privacy protection of data with proper scalability. CPP (Crowdsensing privacy Protection) taxonomy is used that is based on the comprehensiveness and fitness of good. the usefulness of the proposed arrangement is explained by ordering 30 state-of-the-art solutions. Improved consequences are based on extraordinary assets and diminish of different MCS privacy protection techniques. It can be concluded that by employing the MCS privacy protection system for securing user data based on detection and learning algorithms with accurate dimensions. this research investigates the current innovations and techniques in the field of MCS for scalable privacy protection. Different relevant algorithms are used for effective decision making for users and requestors of MCS. © 2020 IEEE.

the increasing number of smart devices in private households has lead to a large quantity of smart homes worldwide. In order to gain meaningful insights into their generated data and offer extended information and added value for consumers, data analytics architectures are essential. In addition, the development and improvement of machine learning techniques and algorithms in the past years has lead to the availability of powerful analytics tools, which have the potential to allow even more sophisticated insights at the cost of changed challenges and requierements for analytics architectures. However, architectural solutions, which offer the ability to deploy flexible, machine learning-based analytics pipelines on streaming data, are missing in research as well as in industry. In this paper, we present the motivation and a concept for machine learning-based data processing on streaming data for consumer-centric Internet of things domains, such as smart home. this approach was evaluated in terms of its performance and may serve as a basis for further development and discussion.
