Our ability to deliver timely, effective and cost efficient healthcare services remains one of the world's foremost challenges. the challenge has numerous dimensions including the need to develop: (a) a highly functional yet secure electronic health record system that integrates a multitude of incompatible existing systems, (b) in-home patient support systems to reduce demand on professional health-care facilities, and (c) innovative technical devices such as advanced pacemakers that support other healthcare procedures. Responding to this challenge will necessitate increased development and usage of software-intensive systems in all aspects of healthcare services. However the increased digitization of healthcare has identified extensive requirements related to the development, use, evolution, and integration of health software in areas such as the volume and dependability of software required, and the safety and security of the associated devices. the goal of the fifth workshop on Software Engineering for Health Care was to discuss recent research innovations and to continue developing an interdisciplinary community to develop a research, educational and industrial agenda for supporting software engineering in the health care sector.

Key/value data storage systems serve as the fundamental component of scalable cloud-based services. However, the scalability of existing key/value datastores comes at the cost of a narrow data access API. We present Innesto, a distributed key/value datastore that provides search as part of its API. Search allows data items to be retrieved based on constraints on multiple different attributes. Innesto's strong consistency data model and its transactional interface bring much of the power of traditional relational databases to cloudscale performance. Our evaluation of Innesto shows it offers these extra features with competitive performance compared to an industrial key/value datastore such as Cassandra which offers an inferior feature set.

Withthe increasingly growing amount of service requests from the world-wide customers, the cloud systems is capable of providing services while meeting the customers' satisfaction. Recently, to achieve the better reliability and performance, the cloud systems has been largely depending on the geographically distributed data centers. Nevertheless, the dollar cost of service placement by service providers (SP) differ from the multiple regions. Accordingly, it is crucial to design a request dispatching and resource allocation algorithm to maximize net profit. the existing algorithms are either built upon energy-efficient schemes alone, or multi-type requests and customer satisfaction oblivious. they cannot be applied to multi-type requests and customer satisfaction-aware algorithm design withthe objective of maximizing net profit. this paper proposes a customer satisfaction-aware algorithm based on the Ant-Colony Optimization (AMP) for geo-distributed data centers. By introducing the model of customer satisfaction, we formulate the utility (or net profit) maximization issue as an optimization problem under the constraints of customer satisfaction and data centers. AMP maximizes SP net profit by dispatching service requests to the proper data centers and generating the appropriate amount of Virtual Machines (VMs) to meet customer satisfaction. To evaluate the proposed algorithm, we have conducted the comprehensive simulation and compared withthe other state-of-the-art algorithms. Conclusive results have demonstrated the effectiveness of AMP both in small and large scale problem.

HackIts are short computer security challenges which are often Web-based. their purpose is to raise awareness for common security issues by showing different intrusion possibilities in today's computer security. We present a framework that allows security education in a safe, modular, and motivating way, withthe possibility of flexible and low-cost integration into existing curricula. By solving challenges within this learning environment, the leaner gets confronted with IT security problems and learns how to prevent them.
the paper deals withthe abstract planning problem - the first stage of Web Service Composition (WSC) in the PlanICS framework. We present a solution based on a compact representation of abstract plans by multisets of...
