Stress, a psycho-physiological response to life’s challenges and changes, poses significant health risks when chronic. this study explores the link between stress and sleep quality, visualizing how stress affects the human body. Stress is categorized into five levels, and eight key physiological parameters are analyzed. Machine learning algorithms, including Naïve Bayes, Support Vector Machine, and Random Forest Classifier, achieved an impressive 100% accuracy in stress level classification. Further enhancements using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Chi-square tests identified optimal features, resulting in approximately 99.68% accuracy with a feed-forward neural network (Multilayer Perceptron). these findings advance stress detection and its impact on sleep quality, offering potential applications in real-world health monitoring systems. the model’s high accuracy provides valuable insights for stress management and preventive health measures, mitigating associated risks. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

the incidence of heart disease is concerning, and timely detection is essential for improving the health of patients. Machine learning has shown potential in assisting in the prognosis of heart conditions. this research evaluated the effectiveness of various machine learning algorithms, including Random Forest, XGBoost, LGBM, and CatBoost, in accurately predicting instances of heart disease. Furthermore, we suggested a hybrid model that integrates all four models, yielding a 97.50% accuracy rate, 0.98% precision value, 0.97% recall value, and 0.98% F1-score. this hybrid model surpasses both individual models and current methodologies. the study utilized the "Heart Failure Prediction Dataset" acquired from Kaggle, which consisted of 11 prevalent variables such as age, blood pressure, and cholesterol levels. these findings indicate that the hybrid model has promise as a powerful tool for predicting heart disease. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

In modern medical diagnostics, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is an important technique that provides insights into anatomical structures. this paper presents a comprehensive methodology focusing on streamlining the segmentation, reconstruction, and visualization of MRI data for surgical training. Segmentation involves the extraction of anatomical regions with the help of state-of-the-art deep learning algorithms. then, 3D reconstruction converts segmented data from the previous step into multiple 3D representations. Finally, the visualization stage provides efficient and interactive 2D and 3D MRI data presentations. After integrating these three steps, the proposed system is found to augment the interpretability of the anatomical information from MRI scans. Compared with other medical platforms such as 3D Slicer, our specialized system features less user effort and greater extensibility. It was originally designed and implemented for haptic feedback simulation in surgical training, but we believe it can also be an effective tool for surgical planning, joint learning, and other purposes. © 2024 IEEE.

To be successful in the supply chain, businesses must completely integrate all departments and partners, rather than just a few. Many customers are already concerned that technology will take over, and although it does allow us to accomplish a lot more with a lot less, businesses must remember that communication is the cornerstone to all interactions. the development of distributed computing systems and of their usage in domains such as the Internet of things, Big Data, etc., raises numerous questions on the tools available to model the complexity of such systems. Non-formal modeling methods fail to create a rigorous way to describe and analyze these systems. In this paper, we propose an approach to model and analyze the structural and behavioural aspect of these systems using formal techniques. As a prerequisite, we build reusable model libraries to specify and verify communication paradigms for modeling software architectures of distributed systems in a component-based system engineering (CBSE) context. First, we describe high-level concepts for system architecture in a component-port-connector fashion as a metamodel. then, we develop an Event-B interpretation of the metamodel adding communication characteristics such as buffering, FIFO and synchronicity. To validate our work, we studied the two well-known communication paradigms, namely message passing and remote procedure call. © 2023 IEEE.
