Integrating generative artificial intelligence tools can allow one to manage and develop novel business methods efficiently. With the introduction of self-learning generative artificial intelligence (GAI) tools, the corporate world is trying to figure out the applications and their business implications. Major technology companies like Microsoft, Google, Facebook, etc., have shown enormous interest in investing in ventures developing generative AI tools/models. these tools/models can be experimented with, and their business use is being explored. the study aims to explore the potential uses of generative AI (GAI) in academics through its current capabilities and applications. the study also highlights the potential challenges and concerns arising from using generative AI in academics. the study has used descriptive and quantitative methods to answer the research questions. the study has used a questionnaire based on the Likert scale to measure the significance of indirect variables, viz. perceived ease of use (PEOU) and perceived trust (PT) on direct variable adoption of generative artificial intelligence (AGAI) in academics. the sample size consists of 100 students and 100 university professors. the study Mentions that perceived ease of use (PEOU) positively influences GAI (AGAI) adoption. Also, perceived trust (PT) has a predictive ability of AGIA when controlling for PEOU. the use of generative AI in a few years will become imperative in most human lives, which makes it mandatory to explore the possible ways of its adoption in the mainstream rather than avoiding or restricting its usage in academics. © 2023 IEEE.

At present, deep learning and other artificial intelligence technologies are constantly applied in the field of remote sensing, and deep learning needs massive data for model driving. However, the development of ship datasets based on optical remote sensing images is slow and not very professional. To solve this problem, we propose three stages of ship intelligence interpretation, and construct a new ship data set for the development of the first stage. the data set reclassifies the existing ships, combined with the purpose of ship target identification and the current development direction of military ships, and is divided into six types of labels, including aircraft carriers, escort ships, submarines, dock landing ships, supply ships and other auxiliary ships. the 909 samples were manually annotated, with the training set contains 795 samples and the validation set contains 114 samples. Compared with the commonly used optical remote sensing ship data sets in China, the data set we proposed has following properties: 1. Professional. the data set targets military ships, the data sources from all ships in the world's military ports;2. Systemic. three stages of automatic identification are proposed;3. Classification and rationality. the classification of this data set combines the general ship classification criterias, practical identification needs and the developments of the ship itself. the world's military ships are divided into six categories;4. Uneven nature. the number of sliced samples of each type of ships is unbalanced;5. Developability. this data set can consistently increase the number of samples. New classes of ships will emerge in the short terms. the class can also be divided into six categories according to their missions;6. the openness. All data for this data set were obtained from Internet public data. through the verification and evaluation of this data set using five target detection algorithms of YOLO series, the accuracy of the target detection

In this paper, we present an approach for teaching turbojet engine performance that combines mathematical analysis with the use of gas turbine performance software to provide students with a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of engine performance and how it is affected by design parameter choices. In the first part, we present the derivation of a universally valid analytical model for turbojet engine cycle design, which is the basis of the aircraft propulsion courses at RWth Aachen University. the analytical model allows for the calculation of specific thrust as well as thermal and propulsive efficiencies as a function of pressure ratios and burner exit temperature. these are all expressed as differentiable functions. their mathematical extremes form a basis for examining the intricate relationships in turbojet engine design. In the second part, we move from theory to practice. We utilize the GasTurb software for gas turbine performance analysis, computing turbojet engine cycles for a wide range of cycle design parameters, including pressure ratios and burner exit temperatures. the analytically derived trends are validated and errors introduced by simplifications are assessed. Differences between the analytical approach and software-based performance simulations of real engines, like temperature-dependent gas properties and secondary air systems, are emphasized and discussed, thus providing a bridge to real-world applications. In summary, this paper describes a two-step approach to teaching turbojet engine design using analytics and gas turbine performance software. Each approach alone can be used to enrich and extend existing engine performance courses. Combining the approaches has significant benefits, improving understanding and inspiring students to pursue further research in the field of jet engines.

Multi-user multiple-input, multiple-output (MU-MIMO) designs can substantially increase the achievable throughput and connectivity capabilities of wireless systems. However, existing MU-MIMO deployments typically employ linear processing that, despite its practical benefits, can leave capacity and connectivity gains unexploited. On the other hand, traditional non-linear processing solutions (e.g., sphere decoders) promise improved throughput and connectivity capabilities, but can be impractical in terms of processing complexity and latency, and with questionable practical benefits that have not been validated in actual system realizations. At the same time, emerging new Open Radio Access Network (Open-RAN) designs call for physical layer (PHY) processing solutions that are also practical in terms of realization, even when implemented purely on software. this work demonstrates the gains that our highly efficient, massively parallelizable, non-linear processing (MPNL) framework can provide, both in the uplink and downlink, when running in real-time and over-the-air, using our new 5G-New Radio (5G-NR) and Open-RAN compliant, software-based PHY. We showcase that our MPNL framework can provide substantial throughput and connectivity gains, compared to traditional, linear approaches, including increased throughput, the ability to halve the number of base-station antennas without any performance loss compared to linear approaches, as well as the ability to support a much larger number of users than base-station antennas, without the need for any traditional Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) techniques, and with overloading factors that can be up to 300%. © 2023 Owner/Author(s).

With the rapid development of 6G research and the guarantee of 6G network performance, the research on holographic technology has become extensive and rich. In this paper, we mainly focus on the application scenarios of holographic technology under 6G network. through the statistics of 6G-related white papers, we understand the current development of holographic communication. A large number of holographic communication related scenarios are collected and devised. And we identify the scenarios that are important for holographic. through many researches of holographic communication, these application scenarios are roughly divided into five categories, which are classified as: immersive sensory, intelligent interaction, information display, remote connection, and precision assistance. Typical scenarios in the classification are listed, and their performance parameters such as bandwidth, time delay, reliability, and accuracy are analyzed. the changing trend of future holographic communication scenarios are summarized. © 2022 IEEE.
