Virtual assistant is nothing but an independent contractor, who offers administrative services to the clients of a particular organisation while operating outside of the office of the client. Generally, a virtual assistant operates from a home-based office. this virtual assistant application has the ability to access the required planning documents, such as shared calendars. the contemporary retail organisations like e-commerce companies in this competitive global business environment are using virtual assistant to enhance omnichannel experience, 24/7 customer service, order tracking, and product recommendations. Overall, virtual assistant helps the organisations in enhancing social media management activities. this concept of the use of virtual assistant has been significantly emerged after the increase in demands for e-commerce business activities in this decade. Research objectives related to the title of this research are developed and listed. Relevant theories on virtual assistant are applied in the literature review section of this study. the researcher has decided to adopt qualitative research methodology to achieve the objectives of the research. Moreover, the researcher has considered secondary data analysis approach to conduct this research. In terms of findings, it has been identified that virtual assistant has a positive impact on the business operation activities of retail organisations. Authentic secondary sources are considered to collect and analyse the data. Some challenges associated with the utilisation of virtual assistant also have been identified in the findings section. Some valuable recommendations are suggested for the future researchers to overcome those identified associated challenges. © 2022 IEEE.

Utilizing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) as mobile access points can assist urban communication systems in establishing emergency networks in disaster scenarios. However, in large-scale dynamic environments, the extensive exploration space makes effective collaboration among a large number of UAVs challenging. In this paper, to schedule the deployment of UAVs for networking purposes, we propose a novel approach, MAEN, using multi-agent reinforcement learning. the grouping and information sharing mechanisms in MAEN enable the algorithm to easily scale up the number of UAVs to dozens and address the issue of strategy equilibrium. Additionally, a reward decomposition module is designed to handle coordination and task allocation among UAVs. Experimental results demonstrate that the algorithm outperforms existing algorithms in terms of ground device coverage and communication quality. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

A machine learning technique known as federated learning, or collaborative learning, allows edge devices to cooperatively integrate to a global model while retaining local copies of their data. the integration of edge AI, IoT, and communication technologies can be greatly improved via federated learning. Because of the abundance of devices, apps, and services available in the modern digital era, users have higher expectations and demands for quality of service (QoS) from network service providers. As a result, extensive deployment of base stations (BSs) overall edge servers (ESs) is required, which raises the cost of deployment and operation - particularly energy expenditures. In order to add flexibility to the creation of the traffic along with mobility management algorithms, the current work makes use of fuzzy logic. Enhancing the quality of service (QoS) of current mobility management solutions and making optimum use of available network resources are the main goals of the research project. In this study, we examine a novel architecture for the efficient and environmentally friendly 6G systems dubbed Mobility-Enhanced Edge inTelligence (MEET), that takes advantage of the detection, communication, computation, and automatic features of intelligent linked vehicles. © 2024 IEEE.

Nowadays, Machine Learning (ML) plays a crucial role in improving healthcare by enabling researchers, doctors, and patients to explore, diagnose, and prevent diseases such as dengue, typhoid, jaundice, pneumonia, and other major ailments. Our research focuses on leveraging ML to detect various diseases from a patient’s speech. the patient will describe their symptoms to the machine, akin to explaining their concerns to a doctor. the machine will then identify the disease and provide primary medication recommendations along with suggesting a specialized doctor for that particular ailment. To optimize our system’s performance, we trained our machine using multiple algorithms and evaluated their results. Our evaluation revealed an accuracy of 86.59% for Naive Bayes, 83.17% for Unhyperd SVM, 98.05% for Hyperd SVM, 97.4% for Decision Tree, and the highest accuracy of 99.35% was achieved by Random Forest. © 2024, ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering.

In the burgeoning era of quantum computing, the security of biometric authentication systems is thrust into a new paradigm, necessitating the exploration and implementation of post-quantum cryptographic schemes. this paper delves into the intricate landscape of biometric authentication, with a particular focus on the implementation of Fuzzy Extractors based on code-based cryptosystems, notably resilient against quantum attacks. through a meticulous exploration of the McEliece cryptosystem, the paper elucidates the underlying mechanisms and security attributes of utilizing error-correcting codes within the realm of biometric authentication. theoretical models are juxtaposed with practical implementations, revealing critical insights and challenges, particularly in the context of False Rejection Rate and True Positive Rate. Experimental analyses, conducted utilizing facial recognition biometrics, illuminate the complexities and discrepancies inherent between theoretical predictions and real-world applicability. Furthermore, the paper navigates through the ethical, privacy, and practical considerations, underscoring the imperative to balance technological advancements with ethical practices and user convenience. the findings and discussions within this paper pave the way towards developing robust, secure, and user-friendly biometric authentication systems, capable of withstanding the potential threats posed by quantum computing advancements, thereby contributing to the discourse on secure biometric authentication in the imminent post-quantum era. © 2023 IEEE.

In general, quantum technologies and quantum algorithms possess transformative potential for next-generation communication systems. Particularly with the unprecedented data speeds, ultra-low latency, and seamless global connectivity promised by 6G, these technologies are expected to offer significant opportunities for telecommunications and mobile network operators. the integration of quantum computing can play a role in optimizing network operations, improving resource management, reducing energy consumption, and increasing data processing efficiency. For mobile network operators, this will result in significant progress in key performance indicators (KPIs) such as scalability, reliability, and security. Furthermore, quantum cryptography will be of critical importance by introducing new security standards for real-time data protection. this paper will focus on a mobile network operator-s perspective and explore potential solutions. It will assess the synergy between quantum technologies and telecommunications, focusing on key topics such as network latency, bandwidth optimization, and energy efficiency. In this paper, a 35 kV circuit breaker arc in a 220 kV substation is not extinguished, which leads to the damage of the low voltage side winding of the main transformer. the cause of the fault is analyzed and the relevant treatment measures are put forward. Firstly, the wave recording message and the fault site are checked. Combined with the previous operation data, the equipment ontology and the modeling simulation analysis, the causes of the fault are analyzed from the waveform segmentation analysis results to the equipment inspection and the corresponding principle analysis. then the cause of the fault is that the bolt and adsorber of the B-phase arc extinguishing chamber of the circuit breaker are not fixed firmly, which leads to the circuit breaker not completing the opening and arc extinguishing. the continuous arc causes the fault grounding of the B-phase arc extinguishing chamber, and then develops into a three-phase grounding fault. the short-circuit current causes the circuit breaker and the switch cabinet to burst. Finally, the measures to prevent such faults and the next step plan are summarized to ensure the safe and stable operation of the power grid. © 2024 IEEE.

Early exit methods are used to accelerate inference in pre-trained language models and maintain competitive performance on resource-constrained devices. However, existing methods for training early exit classifiers suffer from the problem of poor classifier representations in different layers, leading to difficulties in adapting to diverse natural language processing tasks. To address this issue, we propose MetaBERT: collaborative Meta-learning for accelerating BERT inference. the main goal of MetaBERT is to train early exit classifiers through collaborative meta-learning, in which case, few gradient updates can be quickly adapted to new tasks. Moreover, this novel meta-training approach produces good generalization performance, thus achieving an effective balance between the inference result and efficiency. Extensive experimental results show that our approach outperforms previous training methods by a large margin, and achieves state-of-the-art results compared to other competitive models. © 2023 IEEE.
