Aging leads to reduced cognitive abilities. A person heading toward dementia will also show such signs but with more severity. this stage is referred to as Mild Cognitive Impairment. It has been observed that nearly one-fifth of the people suffering from MCI convert to dementia. the patients suffering from MCI who convert to dementia are called MCI-Converts and those who do not convert are called MCI Non-converts. this work proposes a model that extracts gray matter from the s-MRI brain volume and explores the applicability of combination of Convolutional Neural Network and Recursive Feature Elimination in the diagnosis of MCI. Features of the data obtained using the carefully crafted CNN followed by the selection of the appropriate features using Recursive Feature Elimination are then used to accomplish the task. Empirical analysis has been done to select the parameters of the CNN. the results are better than the state of the art and pave way for the exploitation of the Deep Learning models to classify the Converts and the Non-converts. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Recent development researcher need to reevaluate how healthcare services are now delivered in light of recent advancements in IoT-enabled cloud computing and interactive applications. Remote patient monitoring and support are made possible by IoT cloud-based technologies. Making healthcare systems green hasn't received much attention in the current environment, though. therefore, in this paper, we propose a comprehensive framework for environmentally friendly healthcare and create an interactive user interface using cutting-edge technologies. the Internet of things has led to significant growth in the green health sector. From pulse oximeters, blood glucose monitors to remote health monitoring. From 1999 to 2021, there has been an increasing number of publications and research in this area. therefore, in our study, we would conduct a longitudinal survey and bibliometric analysis of the Internet of things in green healthcare and determine the future vision of this trend for the prosperity of the green healthcare sector. Optimal task scheduling in 6G networks plays a crucial role in enabling a wide range of applications such as augmented reality, virtual reality, autonomous vehicles, and the Internet of things (IoT). With the network landscape becoming a more complex and diverse ecosystem, it is critical to advance conventional scheduling algorithms in order to guarantee the necessary efficiency and performance. In this regard, quantum computing can significantly speed up search for optimal schedules, increase the likelihood of finding optimal solutions, and facilitate the creation of correlations between tasks in a scheduling problem by virtue of parallelism, superposition, and entanglement. In this paper, we explore the variational quantum computing approach to tackle the complex task scheduling problem in cloud radio access network (C-RAN) architecture for 6G networks. By leveraging the quantum approximate optimization algorithm (QAOA) and utilizing IBM Qiskit as a simulation testbed, we aim to optimize task scheduling for enhancing wireless network performance. Herein, the classical quadratic constrained integer optimization (QCIO) problem instance is transformed to an Ising Hamiltonian formulation to implement task scheduling optimization on a quantum computer. We also evaluate the effectiveness and stability of QAOA by analyzing the expected cost and the probability of obtaining an optimal schedule as a function of QAOA circuit layers. Our findings highlight the applicability of variational quantum computing in addressing intricate optimization problems as well as setting the stage for the development of more advanced quantum optimization algorithms for 6G networks. © ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering 2024.

Phonetics is a crucial branch of linguistics that studies human speech sounds and is essential for language learning, speech therapy, and speech technology development. However, current Arabic speech systems cannot instantly analyze and detect mispronunciation of Arabic phonemes, only offering a recording feature for self-evaluation. So, this paper presents a state-of-the-art approach using a Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) model for detecting and discriminating between Arabic phonemes. the model was tested on a collected dataset for the Arabic phonemes /s/ 'sin' and /s/ 'ad and demonstrated excellent performance in discriminating between them despite their close articulation. the model achieved an accuracy of 97.33% and outperformed other techniques proposed for small datasets. the model can be utilized either independently or integrated into a computer-assisted language learning (CALL) system. Furthermore, our findings suggest that there is significant room for improvement in this area, particularly in collecting large audio datasets for all the Arabic phonemes, refining the algorithms, and optimizing the data processing pipeline. © 2023 IEEE.
