the high death rate and rapid spread of pneumonia make it a serious global health concern. the precision of traditional diagnostic techniques is often compromised, particularly in resource-limited settings. Existing studies have predominantly focused on either binary or multi-class classification, often relying on limited datasets, which affects the generalizability and robustness of models. Additionally, the interpretability and transparency of deep learning models remain challenging in clinical environments. Addressing these challenges is crucial for advancing diagnostic methodologies to combat pneumonia. this study explores the use of transfer learning to improve the reliability of pneumonia classification using chest X-ray images. An automated classification system was developed, utilizing a combination of image preprocessing techniques, feature extraction with GLRLM, and various machine learning and transfer learning algorithms. Two datasets were employed: the GWCMCx dataset with 5856 chest X-rays and another dataset comprising 9207 chest X-rays. the system was designed for both binary and multi-class classification scenarios. CapsuleNet emerged as the most effective model, achieving an accuracy of ${9 9. 0 2 \%}$ in binary classification and $90.43 \%$ in multi-class classification, significantly outperforming previous studies. Additionally, a user-friendly web application was developed to facilitate the integration of the classification system into clinical workflows, accelerating clinical decision-making. this study demonstrates the potential of transfer learning to automate and improve pneumonia diagnosis, offering a scalable solution that can alleviate radiologists’ workload and improve patient outcomes.

this article describes directions for ensuring sustainable economic growth through the development of the digital economy. Also, special attention is being paid to research in the direction of improving the investment environment in the improvement of the methodological and methodological foundations of attracting investments to the world economy. Mental health issues affect a significant portion of the world’s population and can result in debilitating and life-threatening outcomes. To address this increasingly pressing healthcare challenge, there is a need to research novel approaches for early detection and prevention. Toward this, ubiquitous systems can play a central role in revealing and tracking clinically relevant behaviors, contexts, and symptoms. Further, such systems can passively detect relapse onset and enable the opportune delivery of effective intervention strategies. However, despite their clear potential, the uptake of ubiquitous technologies into clinical mental healthcare is slow, and a number of challenges still face the overall efficacy of such technology-based solutions. the goal of this workshop is to bring together researchers interested in identifying, articulating, and addressing such issues and opportunities. Following the success of this workshop for the last five years, we aim to continue facilitating the UbiComp community in developing a holistic approach for sensing and intervention in the context of mental health.

this study investigates the determinants of economic growth in five republics in Central Asia over the period from 2000 to 2022. It focuses particularly on the role of the digital economy—which includes e-commerce, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), human capital, and Information and Communication Technology (ICT)—in a region where traditional market access is restricted due to geographical constraints. Based on export-led and neoclassical growth theories, the research investigates the relationship between the variables and economic performance by analyzing panel data using Pooled Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) and robustness testing. the findings suggest that there is a prominent positive relationship between e-commerce sales and ICT in terms of their contribution to economic growth. this underscores the profound influence of digital infrastructure and the internet economy. While, population growth and a landlocked geographical location have been identified as factors that have a major negative impact on economic growth. the present study not only discusses the growth outlines within economies of Central Asia but also offers practical insights for policymakers to effectively apply the digital economy to mitigate the negative effects of geographic location and achieve sustainable development.

the over-the-top services, especially Netflix, are currently gaining popularity around the world. the purpose of this study is to investigate the intentions of people in Taiwan using Netflix. the target respondents were people age ranged from 16 to 25, the young generation also would soon become main consumer in market since they obtain entertainment online more often compared to the older generation. Among 340 questionnaire responds gathered, 278 were used since part of the responds were not from the target population or were invalid. the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) is applied in the study to respondents’ intentions using Netflix, while confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation model (SEM) are adopted for the purpose to clarify the interactions among the following four main factors that each are shown as a result creates positive impact on one another: perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, perceived value, intention to use. the results of the study could be implicated on Netflix's marketing strategy, and the model may also apply to broader streaming services in organizing customer's preferences.

With the development of the smart home system, there is a growing demand for immersive smart home systems. Brain Computer Interface (BCI) becomes an outstanding approach. However, many BCI devices are still in experiment stage due to its extremely high cost and complexity. In this paper, an approach of smart home control system using customer-grade Electroencephalogram (EEG) caps is proposed. this system collects several types of time domain EEG signals, which are transferred into spectrum domain signals. A method that can distinguish physical activities under brain control, such as biting, blinking, etc., is presented, which is based on the energy difference of those signals at different frequencies. Further, this system inherits the convenient, stable, and immersive features from BCI devices, while being extremely low cost. the method we propose is a useful exploration and progress in the practicality of brain-computer interfaces.

With the development of the digital economy, the role of university websites in the framework of attracting and retaining students is becoming increasingly important and relevant. University websites are certainly changing the paradigm of modern education by making it more accessible, personalized and tailored to the needs of students. this study focuses on the application of the DEMATEL method to analyze cause-and-effect relationships in a university website operation system. the DE-MATEL method helps to understand more deeply the structure of relationships, identify key success factors, and determine the causes and consequences of various phenomena and strategies. the results of the study highlight that optimization and integration of various website functions contribute to improving the process of attracting and retaining students, increasing their satisfaction and loyalty to a particular university. the authors identified cause-and-effect relationships that characterize the effectiveness of the university website in its role as a marketing tool in the educational field. the use of the DEMATEL method allows you to optimize marketing strategies to attract and retain students, which are the key to the further development of universities in the context of digitalization of education.

Real time multi-media analytics is currently high in trend in businesses as it is helping the companies to track the real time data and develop useful insights. the process of Real-time Multimedia Analytics includes collection analysis and also usage of the data in real time in order to make better informed decisions. the major aim of the study is to explore Real-time Multimedia Analytics for IoT Applications: Leveraging Machine Learning for Insights. Along with this, the study also focuses on Real-Time Multimedia Analytics. the coming together of the IoT and ML has been analysed in the research. Also, the classification process of the IoT data analytics has been analysed according to technological facilities. A complete exploration of the IoT Data Analytics and its uses has been discussed. the research has studied the aspects using the data collected from books and journals. the previous journals on similar topics have been analysed and studied to develop the findings of this research. the research followed the strategy of empirical research and thus a secondary data collection process has been used. In the findings, it has been found that real-time data analytics are of greater help for the business. It can be divided into two aspects which are prescriptive and predictive data analysis. these two processes place a higher value on current time reactions than described and diagnostic analysis. Also, the coming together of IoT and ML can result in better management, enhanced computing and communication success, and improved choice-making. IoT data modelling is widely used in various aspects of businesses like farming, intelligent automobiles and smart medical. Lastly, the challenges and future directions of IoT applications have been studied to improve the process.

Renewable energy offers a viable alternative to depleting fossil fuels, contributing to global warming and greenhouse gas emissions. thus, solar energy is widely favored as a renewable energy source. However, the output power of solar systems is unstable and is highly dependent on environmental circumstances such as radiation, humidity, temperature, and wind. therefore, accurately estimating solar radiation is crucial for successful integration of the solar system into existing electrical grid systems. In this study, two different machine learning models, XGBoost and Random Forest, were used to predict solar radiation data in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. the results show that RMSE and MAE of the Random Forest model (61.09 and 24.37) is smaller compared to XGBoost (61.31 and 25.08). Regression value of the two models is close to 0.955. In summary, this paper demonstrates that these two machine learning algorithms effectively forecast solar radiation, with the Random Forest model showing better performance.

Considering today's variety of technologies and devices connected to the network, a huge number of manufacturers, there are many problems of their interaction and the need to create and adopt specialized communication standards and protocols. this article is devoted to the description of various protocols proposed by the IEEE, IETF and ITU for use in the framework of the concept of the Internet of things. the article includes a description of the protocols of the application, transport, network and data link layers of the TCP / IP model. It also discusses protocols designed specifically to meet IoT requirements. A brief description of the protocols and the principle of operation of each of them are given. this review article contributes to a more correct choice of protocols when building a network, detecting and managing devices, and establishing interaction between objects of the Internet of things.
