Serious security and privacy problems have arisen as a result of significant advancements in the creation of deepfakes. Attackers can easily replace a person’s face with the target person’s face in an image using sophisticated Deep learning (DL) algorithms to spoof their identity. Deepfakes detection algorithms have been proposed in response to the growing concerns about the potential harm caused by deepfakes. However, a reliable deepfakes detector that can keep up with contemporary deepfakes creation techniques is required. In this work, we have proposed an end-to-end methodology for detecting manipulated visual content. We used multiple CNN models i.e., ResNet18, ResNet50, DenseNet65, DenseNet77, and DenseNet100 along with the SVM classifier to compute effective cues from the input facial faces to distinguish between actual and altered content. We have also applied the concept of transfer learning to solve the issue of model over-fitting and improve generalizability against different manipulation algorithms. A comparison study is carried out to evaluate the performance of several feature extractors. through thorough experiments performed using the Deepfakes Detection Challenge dataset, our results demonstrated that DenseNet100 surpasses the other CNN models by better recognizing deepfakes. © 2023, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

the emergence of revolutionary Industry 4.0 in manufacturing businesses has become a significant area of interest. this research paper examines the current state of knowledge and advancements in the field of Industry 4.0. To achieve this, the authors utilized the PRISMA method to analyze and identify published research studies from the Scopus database. the study found a total of 14,435 documents published on this topic between 2011 and 2021. Articles were found to be the most common type of publication, with Engineering being the predominant subject theme. the most influential source of publications in this area was the conference proceedings, specifically Procedia Computer Science by Elsevier. Additionally, Erwin Rauch, affiliated with the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano in Italy, emerged as the most influential researcher. the analysis also revealed that Germany, Italy, India, and the United States were the countries with the most prolific authors in this field. In conclusion, the research indicates that Industry 4.0 has undergone substantial scientific development and significantly impacted the global manufacturing industry by improving industrial processes. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Fog computing is an emerging distributed computing model for the realization of the Internet of things (IoT). It extends computing and caching functions to the edge of wireless networks. Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) provide effective support for fog computing, as UAVs can not only act as a relay between mobile users and physically remote edge devices to avoid costly long-range wireless communications, but also are equipped with computing facilities that can take over certain tasks. In this paper, we aim to optimize the energy efficiency of a fog computing system assisted by a single UAV, by planning the trajectories of the UAV and assigning computing tasks to different devices including the UAV itself. We propose two algorithms based on the classical Ant Colony and Particle Swarm Optimization techniques, and solve the problem by continuous convex approximation. Different from most existing studies where the trajectories are assumed to be straight lines, we account for the effect of obstacles, such as buildings, and deliberately avoid them during the trajectory planning phase. We demonstrate, through extensive simulation experiments, that our proposed approach can achieve significantly better energy efficiency compared to existing benchmark algorithms. © 2022 IEEE.
