Limited research has been conducted on the interaction forces between the clamping and lifting mechanism and the front landing gear wheel during the overall turning of towbarless aircraft tractors and the aircraft. To address this issue, Adams software was utilized to model the clamping and lifting mechanism along with the front landing gear for dynamic simulation. Subsequently, an analysis of the simulation results was conducted. the results indicate that during turning, shifts in the aircraft's center of gravity result in fluctuating horizontal forces acting on the clamping mechanism. Furthermore, the angle between the clamping mechanism and the horizontal plane is much more significantly influenced by the turning radius than the turning speed. To ensure that the angle remains within a safe range, it is necessary to utilize the angle-adjusting function of the front landing gear and keep the clamping device as stable as possible. through this analysis and research, a foundation is provided for the design and improvement of the clamping and lifting mechanism for towbarless aircraft tractors. © 2024 SPIE.

Both the Computing Curricula 2020 (CC2020) and emerging Computer Science Curricula 2023 (CS2023) guidelines indicate a shift towards competency-based education, where learners apply their knowledge, dispositions and skills in tasks as part of their studies. this approach aims to further enhance graduates’ work-readiness and tackle global issues of unemployment and underemployment among computing graduates. Peer assessment is increasingly used in team software engineering and capstone projects to ensure fair recognition of individual contributions. As competency-based learning becomes more prevalent, peer assessment needs to not only consider project outcomes, but also aspects of knowledge, dispositions and skills. this poster presents preliminary work on how one UK university’s computer science undergraduate degree employs the Team-Q metric to address this challenge.

An examination is a useful tool for assessing students' knowledge. Evaluation of exams is a difficult and time-consuming process. the automatic examination of answer scripts makes this task easier for teachers, reducing the amount of effort and time required. the existing literature has a number of methods that have been proposed for evaluating responses to objective questions using machine learning. However, more work needs to be done on evaluating answers to descriptive questions. this study suggests a way to evaluate students' answers to questions of a descriptive kind without using traditional paper or pencil by teachers. Instead, a computer acts as a teacher and grades the students' submissions. the primary objective is to communicate the outcomes of subjective responses using Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT), cosine, and Jaccard distance. the proposed model achieved an accuracy of 91%, an error of 9.01, a precision of 83%, and a recall of 79%, respectively. the suggested model has provided the best results in comparison with state-of-the-art systems. © 2023 IEEE.

software defect centralization is proposed as a metaphor to present the accumulation of various software degradation. It can describe the survival status of projects from the perspective of internal quality and help to fill the gap between quantitative fine-grained drawbacks and qualitative failure of projects. the current work on the detection and repair of software degradation cannot explain why some projects failed unexpectedly. Inspired by AI-based pathology, we define software defect centralization as a certain size of code that is growing and design a supervised prediction model. We build two datasets with 480 open-source Java projects to accomplish the model learning and evaluation. the experimental results show that the prediction model achieves an overall accuracy of 91.7% on the self-built test set. We also find that the degradation of bug-proneness and specific code smells are positively related to the presence of software defect centralization. © 2025 Institute of Physics Publishing. An intelligent information technology (IT) for multi-agent modeling of enterprise clusters activities is proposed, the use of which in engineering education is due to the need to both gain knowledge in the field of management and master the procedures for system research of complex objects based on the application of a multi-agent approach and agent modeling. the proposed IT involves the implementation of four stages. At the first stage, a precedent diagram was developed reflecting the use cases of the system. At the second stage, state diagrams were developed for the main agents of the system: a cluster of manufacturing enterprises, a cluster of commercial enterprises and the Federal Tax Service. At the third stage, the system software was developed. the developed intelligent information technology and software of the modeling system makes it possible to support decision-making procedures in managing the activities of clusters of manufacturing and trading enterprises. Scenario research has been carried out using the developed intelligent system for modeling the activities of clusters of manufacturing and trading enterprises, taking into account the adjustment of tax rates. Research has shown the importance of improving tax policy both for the real sector of the economy and for the state. It has been revealed that decisions in the form of a reduction in the value added tax rate have a more significant impact on the activities of a cluster of manufacturing enterprises. Mastering the proposed technology by students of engineering universities in their practical and laboratory work, the application of this knowledge and skills in the performance of final qualifying works, along with the acquisition of other modern intelligent information technologies, will ensure an improvement in the quality of engineering education in general. © 2024 IEEE.

Increased metropolitan traffic strain and an insufficient amount of technology are the two biggest contributors to accidents. Intelligent technology must be used creatively and sustainably to keep up with the city's rapidly growing vehicle population and road damage. Here, the unsteady road layout is the main concern since it significantly affects how traffic moves in physical globe situations. Random traffic management during peak and off-peak hours with ineffective human resources results in an increase in traffic and road offences because of ineffective traffic monitoring techniques and poor road conditions. the R-CNN used to smart vehicle control flow uses powerful IOT-based quick warning systems in cars to resolve this risk situation and clover choice. Accidents that happen suddenly are most often caused by uneven road conditions. It will provide timely information and adequate monitoring. the operationalization of the worst possible road conditions for predicting traffic congestion is the focus of the current work. On gathered data sets, it trains a neural network using an unsupervised method. Additionally, it wants to make everything clear so that travelers may make informed decisions and efficient transfers. this is the major cause of the bad condition of the roads. based on the most likely circumstances, it makes sense to identify traffic issues using machine learning techniques and give high accuracy. Here, data sets were obtained as inputs in order to receive the best results, and assessments were then made regarding all requests from decision-making critics. the goal of the project is to give IOT docking systems more intelligence. this avoids item collisions, reduces traffic, and gives accurate, contemporary designs. © 2024 IEEE.

Child safety and well-being in daycare settings are important, thus it is vital that the persons in charge be attentive to them. this research tries to solve the problem by introducing a smart and detailed monitoring system that utilizes new technology to enhance safety and support caretakers. the system has various innovative features, such as child missing detection, behavior and facial expression analysis, cry analysis and categorization, and fall detection. Using high-resolution cameras and on-device Edge AI capabilities, it ensures real-time surveillance of children's activities while protecting privacy. the approach integrates behavior and facial expression analysis to assess emotional states, cry recognition to discover childcare needs, as well as a useful fall detection system that can tell the difference between falls and other movements. All these parts synergize to hand over the necessary information to the caregivers on time and in a way that they can act upon. the quantitative experiments in real-time childcare centers show high accuracy through all the components, attesting to the system's reliability and durability. this research has important significance in improving the safety and the frequency response in daycare centers because it gives caregivers automated tools to quickly address the needs of children. While promising, the system has drawbacks, such as potential biases in data models and a reliance on ideal environmental circumstances. Future work intends to improve flexibility across varied daycare situations, improve accuracy through larger datasets, and investigate ethical frameworks for wider application. © 2024 IEEE.

this paper introduces a novel networked controller platform based on open-source hardware: Arduino UNO, and software: Scilab/Xcos and Arduino IDE(Integrated Development Environment). To accomplish data exchange among the control components, a communication protocol based on UDP(User Data-gram Protocol) is designed. the adoption of open-source software and hardware renders the controller platform advantages in contrast to traditional networked controller platforms, e.g., being low-cost and time-saving in hardware design and implementation. In addition, the introduction of the network makes the controller platform flexible in structure and applicable to home automation and remote control. the background is introduced first, then the design and implementation are detailed, and an experiment is implemented to validate the practicality of the controller platform. At last, the conclusion ends the paper. To the best knowledge of the authors, there is no precedent of a controller platform that combines Scilab/Xcos, UDP and Arduino UNO yet. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper we consider how ontological knowledge graphs (KGs) can be used to move towards a reasoning functionality for digital twins of structural dynamic systems. the KG is used to integrate geometric and material properties, that determine the dynamic behaviours of the structure. A three-storey, small-scale building is used as a use case to create a prototype digital twin, in the context of modal testing. the concept is based on combining geometric information from computer-aided design (CAD) models, finite element analysis (FEA), data recorded from modal tests and Bayesian uncertainty quantification. the required functionality of the digital twin is to provide integration of "heterogeneous" data sources, to create an overall knowledge model of the structural dynamics that are validated by the modal test data. the KG was built using the Neo4j interface. the CAD and FEA were carried out in the open-source software Blender and FEniCSx, respectively. the resulting digital twin can provide user information, as required, via a web-based user interface. © 2024 proceedings of ISMA 2024 - International conference on Noise and Vibration engineering and USD 2024 - International conference on Uncertainty in Structural Dynamics. Identifying influential spreaders is a hot topic in complex network research. While centrality-based algorithms are easy to implement, they often have lower accuracy. Topology-based algorithms are effective for identifying network center influential spreaders but may not perform well in identifying peripheral influential spreaders. To address these problems, we propose a Neighborhood Structure Centrality (NSC) algorithm, which utilizes structural embedding and clustering to collect various network structural information and calculates node influence based on both node and neighborhood structural information. We compare the NSC algorithm with twelve baseline algorithms on six public datasets and four synthetic network datasets and demonstrate its higher accuracy. © 2023 knowledge Systems Institute Graduate School.
