Many recent studies have confirmed that brain activity in the gamma frequency range is associated with many cognitive functions. It has been found that patients with neuropsychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia, Alzheimer's disease, and depression have varying degrees of abnormal gamma frequency oscillations. Currently, non-invasive brain stimulation techniques such as transcranial electrical stimulation (TES) and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) are commonly used clinically to modulate this abnormal gamma oscillation phenomenon. However, there are some problems with such techniques, such as contradictory effects, misuse of technology ethics, and poor treatment experience for patients. Recent studies suggest that 40 Hz sound stimulation may be a new method to modulate abnormal gamma frequency oscillations. However, whether such sound stimulation can improve patients' gamma frequency oscillation power is still unknown. To explore a simple, non-invasive, and friendly method of modulating oscillatory abnormalities, 30 healthy subjects were randomly recruited and equally divided into treatment and control groups. the 15 healthy subjects in the treatment group were periodically modulated with 40Hz sound stimulation for 5 days. the control group was not modulated to verify the effectiveness of the sound stimulation modulation method. Sound stimulation is presented through a computer and head-mounted noise-canceling *** results showed that after periodic 40 Hz sound stimulation modulation, the 40 Hz event-related spectral perturbation (ERSP) was statistically significantly lower in the treatment group than before modulation (t=-2.607, P=0.021), and there was no statistical difference in the control group. these results suggest that modulation based on 40 Hz sound stimulation may be able to reduce the power of the gamma rhythm EEG in healthy subjects. However, the possibility that this decrease may also be due to habituation effects cannot be excluded.

this paper presents an algorithm based on fuzzy logic, devised to identify emotions in corpora of literary texts, called Fuzzy Logic Emotions (FLE) classifier. this algorithm evaluates a sentence to define the class(es) of emotions to which it belongs. For this purpose, it considers three types of linguistic variables (verb, noun and adjective) with associated linguistic values used to qualify the emotion they express. A numerical value is computed for each of these terms within a sentence, based on its frequency and the inverse document frequency (TF-IDF). We have tested our FLE classifier with an evaluation protocol, using a literary corpus in Spanish specially structured for working withthe automatic detection of emotions in text. We present encouraging performance results favoring our FLE classifier, when compared to other known algorithms established in the literature used for the detection of emotions in text.
