The presented system combines a virtual wrist-anchored userinterface (UI) with a new low-profle, wrist-worn device that provides salient and expressive haptic feedback such as contact, pressure and broad-bandwidth vibration. This active feedback is used to add tactile cues to interactions with virtual mid-air UI elements that track the user's wrist;we demonstrate a simple menu-interaction task to showcase the utility of haptics for interactions with virtual buttons and sliders. Moving forward, we intend to use this platform to develop haptic guidelines for body-anchored interfaces and test multiple haptic devices across the body to create engaging interactions.

This paper introduces TimeSlider, a userinterface technique that allows the user to specify time points. TimeSlider is a kind of slider whose time scale is nonlinear and which moves as a user operation. The nonlinearly enables it to display a long time range in a small space, and the movement as a user operation helps the user to specify time points quickly. Top-Levi is a public multi-user interactive system that requires a pair of users to cooperate with an audience around them. Based on acoustic levitation technology, Top-Levi leverages a unique attribute of dynamic physical 3D contents displayed and animated in the air: such systems inherently provide diferent visual information to users depending on where they are around the device. In Top-Levi, there are two primary users on opposite (left/right) sides of the device, and audience members to the front. Each sees diferent instructions displayed on a foating cube. Their collective task is to cooperate to move the cube from a start point to a fnal destination by synchronizing their responses to the instructions.

We present a system for entering common music notation based on 2D gestural input. The key feature of the system is the look-and-feel of the interface which approximates sketching music with paper and pencil. A probability-based interpreter integrates sequences of gestural input to perform the most common notation and editing operations. In this paper, we present the user's model of the system, the components of the high-level recognition system, and a discussion of the evolution of the system including user feedback.
