The quality of distribution equipment is an important foundation to ensure the safe operation of distribution network and reliable supply of electricity. In order to strictly control the quality of distribution equipment entering and operating in the grid, this paper proposes a whole process quality control architecture system of distribution equipment based on the internet of things (IOT). The system is mainly composed of cloud control platform and IOT inspection equipment. The cloud control platform is designed with a service-oriented hierarchical architecture to establish a decision centre for the whole process of testing and quality control. The design of the IOT testing equipment adopts standardized hardware, operation software and test cases. Meanwhile, IOT and authentication encryption technology are utilized to realize information interaction with the cloud control platform for power distribution equipment. In order to perform practical validation and analysis of the proposed quality control system, the IOT control system is deployed and applied in the power grid enterprise. The results show that the system has achieved integrated supervision of the whole process of power distribution equipment, consistent sharing of quality inspection data among all links, linkage and control of nodes at all levels, and standardization and unification of evaluation criteria. Moreover, the quality of distribution equipment in operation has been improved, so the rate of fault outage caused by equipment quality defects has been reduced. © 2023 SPIE.

The analysis of IR-drop stands as a fundamental step in optimizing the power distribution network (PDN), and subsequently influences the design performance. However, traditional IR-drop analysis using commercial tools proves to be exceedingly time-consuming. Fast and accurate IR-drop analysis is desperately in demand to achieve high performance on timing and power. Recently, machine learning approaches have garnered attention owing to their remarkable speed and extensibility in IC designs. However, prior works for dynamic IR-drop prediction presented limited performance since they did not exploit the time-varying activities. In this paper, we proposed a dual-path model with spatial-temporal transformers to extract the static spatial features and dynamic time-variant activities for dynamic IR drop prediction. Experimental results on the large-scale advanced dataset CircuitNet show that our model significantly outperforms the state-of-the-art works.

Fault simulation targeting functional patterns emerges as an essential mechanism within functional safety, crucial for validating the effectiveness of safety mechanisms. The acceleration of fault simulation for functional patterns is imperative for boosting the efficiency and adaptability of functional safety verification, presenting a significant yet unresolved challenge. In the paper, we propose an efficient fault simulator for functional patterns, utilizing three techniques including fault filtering, fault grouping, and CPU-based parallelism. The integration of these three techniques, tailored to the characteristics of functional patterns, reduces the runtime of fault simulation from different perspectives. The experimental results show that on a 48-core system, an average 79x speedup can be achieved by our parallel fault simulator against a commercial tool.

SAT-based verification is a common technique used by industry practitioners to find bugs in computer systems. However, these systems are rarely designed in a single step: instead, designers repeatedly make small modifications, reverifying after each change. With current tools, this reverification step takes as long as a full, from-scratch verification, even if the design has only been modified slightly. We propose a novel SAT-based verification technique that performs significantly better than the naïve approach in the setting of evolving systems. The key idea is to reuse information learned during the verification of earlier versions of the system to speed up the verification of later versions. We instantiate our technique in a bounded model checking tool for SystemVerilog code and apply it to a new benchmark set based on real edit history for a set of open source RISC-V cores. This new benchmark set is now publicly available for further research on verification of evolving systems. Our tool, PrediCore, significantly improves the time required to verify properties on later versions of the cores compared to the current state-of-the-art, verify-from-scratch approach.

Approximate computing is an emerging paradigm to improve the energy efficiency for error-tolerant applications. Many iterative approximate logic synthesis (ALS) methods were proposed to automatically design approximate circuits. However, as the sizes of circuits grow, the runtime of ALS grows rapidly. Thus, a crucial challenge is to ensure circuit quality while improving the efficiency of ALS. This work proposes a dual-phase iterative framework to accelerate the iterative ALS flows. In the first phase, a comprehensive circuit analysis is performed to gather the necessary information, including the error information. In the second phase, minimal incremental computation is employed based on the information from the first phase. The experimental results show that the proposed method achieves an acceleration by up to 21.8 × without loss of circuit quality compared to the state-of-the-art methods.

In order to ensure driving safety, the current car is equipped with ABS braking anti-lock braking system. When the ABS is working, it needs to detect the wheel speed signal through the wheel speed sensor to achieve continuous braking and relaxation to prevent the wheels from locking. In daily teaching, it is difficult for students to observe the working process of the wheel speed sensor, and then understand the working situation of the ABS in the braking process. Therefore, according to the working principle of the electromagnetic induction wheel speed sensor, an experimental bench for the wheel speed sensor of automobile ABS is designed. The bench can clearly display the change of the AC voltage generated by the sensor at different speeds during wheel rotation, and then simulate the change of the signal when the ABS is working. © 2023 SPIE. The safety performance of civil aircraft is closely related to the reliability of aircraft slat mechanism, and the slat failures of civil aircraft have been occurring continuously in recent years. The design of aircraft slats has a great impact on the resistance during flight. The relative chord displacement of slats and main wings cannot be ignored, which has a great impact on aircraft resistance. In order to accurately and quantitatively obtain the relative displacement of the leading edge slat and the main wing of the aircraft, this paper adopts the combined measurement method of stereo intersection photogrammetry and relay measurement, and designs a multi-target real-time tracking algorithm based on the YOLO Tiny algorithm and the Kernel Correlation Filter (KCF) algorithm, which can accurately and quantitatively measure the change of the leading edge of the slat, At the same time, the variation trend of the measured results also conforms to the variation trend of the leading edge slats during the movement process. © 2023 IEEE.

The health status and operation life of aviation contactor are closely related to the safety of airborne power distribution system. This paper designs and builds a set of aviation contactor life test platform. The proposed circuit topology can perfectly realize the operation life test of contactor under different working conditions, and the invalid switching operations of the components are greatly reduced, so as to improve the contactor test experimental efficiency. The peripheral circuit adopts the driving circuit with CPCI-7434 digital I/O board, the signal acquisition and conditioning circuit with PXI-2204 data acquisition card and the power supply circuit. The full-automatic control life cycle test interface is designed by LabVIEW in order to collect and display the voltage and current signals of contactor contacts and coils. In addition, after system joint debugging, the whole set of life test platform successfully achieve designed functions, such as data output and storage in real time, ensure the visualization and operability of the whole test system on the premise of friendly human-computer interface. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

This paper deals with the design, implementation and validation of a new secure channel protocol to connect microcontrollers and secure elements. The new secure channel protocol (NSCP) relies on a lightweight cryptographic primitive (Xoodyak) and simplified operating principles to provide secure data exchange. The performance of the new protocol is compared with that of GlobalPlatform's Secure Channel Protocol 03 (SCP03), the current de facto standard for hardening the connection between a microcontroller and a secure element in industrial IoT. The evaluation was performed in two scenarios where the secure element was emulated with an ARM Cortex M4 and an OpenHW RISC-V MPU synthesized on an Artix FPGA. The results of the evaluation are an indicator of the potential advantage of the new protocol over SCP03: In the best case, the new protocol is able to apply cryptographic protection to messages from 3.64x to 4x with respect to SCP03 at its maximum security level. The speedup in the channel initiation process is also considerable, with a factor of up to 3.7. These findings demonstrate that it is possible to conceive a new protocol which offers adequate cryptographic protection, while being more lightweight than the present standard.

Over time, solar energy has a significant impact on social, economic, and environmental growth. The flat plate solar collector technology enhanced the lifestyle quality of the people in the world. These collector gadgets could measure temperature and solar radiation, turning them into heat useful for a variety of purposes, including the creation of electricity, space heating, and hot water for homes. However, automating the procedures related to flat plate solar collectors is crucial to maximizing the benefits of solar energy. Previous consideration must be taken in account to perform this automation, regarding sensor networks that evaluate environmental factors such as water and ambient temperature. These sensors are essential for enabling real-time system control and monitoring, which enables effective identification. Therefore, the main objective of this project is to design a flat plate solar collector structure with electronic devices that allow measuring and reporting water and ambient temperature data to update a web application and thus be able to monitor its behavior. The system presents scalability over time since it adjusts to the number of sensors or electronic devices added and desired for continuous improvement in the system. Likewise, web development can adapt to the conditions of the system and scale to other applications. © 2024 IEEE.
