This work proposes an analytical approach to design fractional filter IMC-PI controller to enhance the performance for First Order Plus Time Delay (FOPTD) processes using an enhanced Smith predictor structure. The novelty of the work is its simple analytical tuning rules proposed to determine the fractional filter parameters based on the minimization of IAE. Simulation studies on the process show the effectiveness of the proposed analytical method in obtaining improved performance and robustness. © 2023 IEEE.

In the era marked by rapid advancements in "green energy"and storage technologies, microgrids integrated with distributed generation principles emerge as a promising avenue for efficient power management. DC microgrids have attracted significant interest among researchers and engineers owing to the escalating adoption of renewable energy sources coupled with energy storage systems, improved utilization of DC power electronics devices, and the additional benefits of mitigating harmonics and synchronization challenges. A crucial aspect necessitates the establishment of an efficient, optimized, and dependable control system for the integrated infrastructure. This article introduces a versatile and adaptable control system for microgrid resources, aimed at fulfilling the local households' electricity demand while addressing economic considerations. The proposed approach adopts a decentralized control structure, deploying controllers in each household, leveraging open-source optimizers and cost-effective hardware. To mitigate the likelihood of failure, the authors developed a redundant solution, incorporating redundant communication channels and hot standby control devices. A comprehensive validation process was conducted via simulations on a sample microgrid encompassing diverse methods of generation and storage, ensuring robustness and reliability. © 2024 IEEE.

Many communication technologies have developed along with the evolution of the internet over the last three decades. Transport layer protocol plays a major role in communication technologies used in both static and dynamic networks, devices and servers etc. To utilize the newly available potential communication technologies over globe via internet in a proper effective and efficient way so the transport layer protocol has to be improvised according to the modern usage of communication technologies. This paper concentrates on three major concepts that possess a networked correlation between the transport layer protocols and communication technologies: 1. Identify the limitation of Current transport layer protocol like., Transmission control Protocol (TCP) and User Datagram Protocol (UDP);2. Alternate protocols for traditional transport layer protocol (Like., TCP) for avoid the congestion;3. A glimpse of transport layer's multipath capabilities. This survey mainly will focus on the comparison of an alternate protocols instead of TCP to overcome the limitations faced in traditional transport layer during network traffic. The results are shown the effectiveness of our proposed protocol compared to TCP. © 2023 IEEE.

An innovative smart wheelchair system designed to enhance the mobility and safety of individuals with disabilities. The proposed system utilizes a combination of accelerometer, gyroscopes, and MPU6050 sensors to detect hand gestures, allowing users to control the wheelchair intuitively. Instead of the traditional joystick, a Node MCU sensor is employed for wireless data transmission, enabling seamless communication between the wheelchair and the user. Additionally, the system incorporates ultrasonic sensors for obstacle detection, triggering an automated braking system to ensure user safety. By integrating advanced sensor technology and automated braking, the proposed system offers a more efficient and secure means of wheelchair control, empowering individuals with limited mobility to navigate their surroundings with increased ease and confidence. The user-friendly and intuitive nature of the system makes it a valuable solution for improving the overall quality of life for those with disabilities. © Grenze Scientific Society, 2024.

By addressing the gender gap in STEM through education and mentoring programs, it is also related with SDG 5: Gender equality, which helps to eliminate gender disparities. With the recent advances in automotive mobility, Autonomous Connected Vehicles (ACVs) in a platoon are becoming the wave of the future for Intelligent Mobility Systems (IMS). Autonomous Connected vehicles are driverless vehicles that are connected in the Vehicle to Everything (V2X) network infrastructure. Adopting Autonomous Vehicles in a platoon relies on wireless communication (IoT) and utilizing vehicular ad-hoc networks (VANETs). However, these Autonomous Vehicles are prone to security vulnerabilities, cyberattacks and road safety. Vehicular platooning as they rely on wireless communication networks leads to dangerous conditions for driving safety. The development of Autonomous Connected Vehicles (ACVs) has increased the need for secure and efficient communication and control mechanisms in Vehicular-to-Everything (V2X) architecture. This paper comprehensively reviews the recent research on communication and control mechanisms for secure ACVs in a platoon. The review highlights the challenges and opportunities in ACVs' V2X communication and control mechanisms. © 2023 IEEE.

Over the last decade, significant advances have been made in the Autonomous Driving field. Deep Reinforcement Learning has benefited the complex control and navigation-related challenges. This paper presents the implementation of a Deep Reinforcement Learning based algorithm for the control of a lane following car. A self-driving car is designed to keep a set speed and a safe distance from the lead vehicle while moving along the center of the lane. We use a Deep Reinforcement Learning based algorithm called Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient (DDPG) for the implementation of lateral and longitudinal control of the autonomous car system. The simulation results show that the system is able to drive autonomously in the dynamic environment and maneuver along the curved road. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper present about a smart landmine and landmine detector roverrobot. The landmine is going to smart by using the concept of transmitter and receiver, where landmine will be acting as receiver and transmitter will be other component which will be on shoes of army soldier. Landmine detection rover-robot will be based on the two sensors (magnetic sensor and metal sensor). Both sensors will play crucial role as they will help to detect our own landmine as well as enemy’s landmine. The objective of this smart landmine and landmine detection rover-robot is to reduce the chances of accident with Indian army soldiers during the search of landmine, and to detect landmine and differentiate between our own landmine and enemy’s landmine with the help of two sensors. In various landmines magnets are not used so, we can a small piece of magnet on our landmine so that it is easily detectable by the landmine detector. If both sensor gives beep sound, then it is not our landmine but if it gives only one beep sound then it is not our landmine. For transmitter and receiver here, I used simple transmitter and receiver circuit can be of remote-control car, on landmine rover-robot magnetic sensor and metal sensor, Arduino UNO will be used and a remote-control robot. It is to identify the landmines in war affected rehabilitation places. The detection of landmines through this proposed method is free of risk and of less human effort. Integration of inductive sensor, video camera and ATUNO microcontroller are used here to discover landmines. While experimenting, this robot shows high detection ability of both metallic and magnetic and transmitter and receiver parts of landmine is actively working which is competent enough to be used in the applications in landmine covered regions. © 2024 The Author(s).
