In order to address the obstacles posed by the growing security issues of the Internet of Things to the development of big data, this paper conducts in-depth research on the defense of the most harmful DDoS attack. This paper designs a deep learning model for DDoS detection - CBAN. The CBAN model integrates technologies such as 1D-CNN, BiGRU, and attention mechanism for structural design. This model can effectively extract spatial and temporal features of network traffic data for efficient detection of potential DDoS attacks. The CBAN model has shown excellent performance on the CIC-DDoS-2019 dataset. © 2024 SPIE.

Experiments were conducted for the oscillations of a submersed suspended flexible pipe ex]cited by the internal two-phase slug flow of liquid and gas. computer simulations were carried out with proprietary numerical tools to evaluate suitable modeling methods for pipe oscillations. The experiment was conducted with a pipe set in a catenary configuration inside a two meters deep water tank. Water and air were injected into the pipe at its bottom end with various flow rate combinations, forming horizontal slug flow patterns. The slug two-phase flow generated intermittent loads on the pipe promoting its oscillation. At the same time, cameras monitored the dynamic response of the pipe. Processing the video images frames generated time-history records of the movement of the pipe. In this paper, computer simulations were performed to determine the frequencies and amplitudes of the pipe oscillations, which were compared to those from the experiment. A proper scaling up of experimental results with the support of computer simulations should be helpful for the analysis and design of suspended risers employed in offshore petroleum platforms carrying up oil and gas from petroleum reservoir wells to floating production facilities.

The Chinese context is distinguished by robust context-dependent relationships, a multitude of named entity types, and a plethora of homotypic snear-synonyms. This underscores the pressing need for an enhancement in the feature extraction capability of the existing Chinese knowledge extraction model. This paper introduces and constructs a Fourier transform-amplitude-frequency characteristic calculation module within the BERT model, to enhance the feature extraction capability of the model. And the model has a higher F1 value on the CLUENER dataset than BERT. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

In the era of ‘Great Wisdom Propelling Clouds’, the financial sharing services of corporate groups enhance financial management efficiency but also encounter information security challenges. This paper, centered on the AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process), develops a financial sharing information security evaluation system to provide security assurance for financial sharing services of large corporate groups in the ‘Great Wisdom Propelling Clouds’ environment. Utilizing methods such as index classification, expert consultation, surveys, literature review, and the geometric mean, the system establishes four criterion layers-technical safety, operational safety, managerial safety, and emergency response-and further details them into 16 specific indicators. The construction of the evaluation system follows the principles of comprehensiveness, feasibility, objectivity and dynamic perfection, which ensures the reliability and accuracy of the evaluation results. This study provides a theoretical basis and practical guidance for large enterprise groups to optimize the information security management of financial sharing services in the context of the "Great Wisdom Propelling Clouds" era. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Being a major contributor to the global mortality, lung cancer, owing to its fatality, calls for early and efficient diagnosis. This requires the employment of efficient computer aided diagnostics for determining the computed tomography (CT) scans as indicating lung cancer or not. Most such systems leverage the high efficiency of deep learning models to identify the lung cancer type from an input CT scan. In this work, a deep transfer learning model equipped with a soft attention block is framed to classify CT scans as either lung cancer affected or normal. Public datasets such as IQ-OTH/NCCD along with LIDC-IDRI are adopted for evaluation of the proposed technique which scored accuracies of 99.55% and 95.41% respectively, that are comparable with those of some recent standard techniques. © 2025 IEEE.

Facial expression recognition (FER) plays a crucial role within the realm of computer vision. In the last several years, machine learning-powered FER methods have been fully developed. In contrast to conventional feature-based FER algorithms, FER algorithms based on machine learning have gained advantages. In this paper, we review the progress of FER algorithms driven by deep learning, and compare the horizontal effects of different network architectures based on CK+ data sets and VGG16 and other pre-trained deep learning models. At the same time, different data enhancement methods and learning rate adaptive adjustment methods are used to introduce attention mechanisms. A significant quantity of experimental data and model evaluation parameters show that the optimized facial expression recognition algorithm can improve the accuracy of facial expression recognition. Our method and optimization are effective, and good results are obtained on CK+ data set. © 2025 SPIE.

The board of directors plays a central role in corporate governance, exerting a complex and profound impact on a company's long-term development. This study examines the impact of board diversity on corporate profitability, focusing on listed manufacturing companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen A-shares from 2013 to 2022. The findings reveal an inverted U-shaped relationship between board diversity and corporate profitability: moderate diversification enhances profitability, while excessive diversity diminishes it. Robustness checks, including variations in sample periods, dependent variables, and the exclusion of highly polluting firms, confirm the results. Moreover, the mean effect is significant in mature and declining firms, as well as in low- and medium-tech manufacturing industries, while no significant impact was observed in growing and high-tech firms. This study offers precise guidance for optimizing board diversity to enhance corporate profitability. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s). Publication rights licensed to ACM.

petroleum engineers usually create a set of hundreds of models of a given oil reservoir under analysis to represent its uncertainties. Assisted optimization approaches may help engineers to select a subset of these models (a.k.a. representative models, or RMs for short), which is used in computational flow simulations in replacement of the original set, aiming to reduce the total simulation runtime without changing the quality of these results. Despite the power of visualization techniques to help people to understand multidimensional datasets like the ones provided in this scenario, we noted a few efforts that use these techniques to help petroleum engineers to assist the selection of RMs. In this context, our research aims to test the hypothesis that it is possible to improve how interactive visualization resources are currently used to aid decision-making regarding the selection of RMs, mainly in the presence of multiple sets of RMs or multiple variables (obtained from running model simulations). This work presents our first steps towards this goal: (a) literature review and (b) definition of visualization prototypes that aim to help the analysis of RMs regarding the values of the variables provided by simulation outputs, and the risk curves associated with these variables. In the transition from 2G to 5G and the exploration of 6G, wireless communication systems face increasing challenges due to surging data traffic and diverse application demands. Traditional methods like FDMA and TDMA struggle to meet the needs of high-density scenarios due to limited spectrum utilization. To overcome these limitations, non-orthogonal frequency-guided transmission techniques offer a promising alternative. This paper proposes a deep learning-based receiver architecture optimized for processing non-orthogonal signals. Through extensive simulations, we evaluate the model’s performance across various parameters, including the number of channels, batch size, and the integration of a global attention module. Our results show that fine-tuning these paraasmeters leads to a data recovery accuracy of 0.88, highlighting the effectiveness of the proposed approach. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).
