Accessibility in digital labor is a research line that has been trending over the last few years. The usage of crowdsourcing, especially in the form of microtasks, can become an inclusive solution to support accessible digital work. Integrating cognitive abilities tests and task fingerprinting has proven to be effective mechanisms for microtask personalization when considering neurotypical people. In this article, we report the elaboration of usability tests on microtask personalization with neurodivergent people. The preliminary study recruited six participants with autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and dyslexia. The results obtained indicate that this solution can be inclusive and increase the accessibility of crowdsourcing tasks and platforms. One limitation of this study is that it is essential to evaluate this solution on a large scale to ensure the identification of errors and/or features of cognitive personalization in microtask crowdsourcing.

Objective. Developmental Dyslexia (DD) is a special learning disability (SLD), in which it is difficult for children to read, spell and write fluently, seriously affecting children's related reading skills. Therefore, it is significant for early intervention to quickly and accurately detect children with DD in a no-feeling method. However, most existing detection methods include oral and written assessments, analysis based on brain image (e.g. MRI, fMRI, EEG, etc.), which either require the involvement of domain experts or have low accuracy and are not conducive to large-scale applications. Approach. In this study, inspired by computer vision, we present a novel convolutional-transformer network architecture based on Eye-tracking to improve the diagnosis accuracy of developmental dyslexia in children, which is evaluated on 187 subjects by tracking their eye movements while reading. Main results. To our knowledge, the proposed model achieved a state-of-the-art (SOTA) classification accuracy of 98.21% on the cross-subject dyslexia detection task for the public dataset SDUETDR. Significance. The proposed model can be used in schools as a diagnostic and screening tool for children with developmental dyslexia.

computerized Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CCBT) has been widely proven effective in alleviating negative emotions such as depression and anxiety. To address the lack of real-time feedback, we explored how to add appropriate interactions from the user experience perspective. By analyzing user context, we propose a transformation framework from CBT to interactive CCBT (iCCBT), which makes online interventions more effective. According to the framework, we designed and implemented an iCCBT platform for young adults. Through a 9-day controlled experiment on 28 college students, we conclude that interaction can effectively improve users' knowledge retention, learning efficiency, satisfaction, and willingness to use. This study demonstrates methods and results for enhancing the interactivity of CCBT. The design thinking of the transformation framework can be extended to other online psychotherapy.

Deep neural network models perform well on image classification tasks, but they are highly susceptible to adversarial samples that add tiny perturbations and output incorrect classification results. The existence of adversarial samples seriously threatens the security of the model itself, in order to mitigate the threat posed by adversarial samples, researchers and scholars have proposed a number of adversarial sample defense methods, which are currently considered to be one of the most effective adversarial defense methods is adversarial training. we redefine the loss in standard adversarial training as a new loss in order to enable the model to better learn the interclass relationships of the examples, which consists of three items: natural categorization loss, target-related loss, and target-irrelevant loss. Through experimental analysis, the target-irrelevant loss has a greater impact on the robustness of the model, and the combination of the three can better improve the robustness of the model, and the DRAT algorithm is further proposed. The experimental results show that the method can further improve the adversarial robustness of the model, and the robust accuracy under multiple attacks outperforms other classical adversarial training methods.

Sharding is a promising solution to address the scalability challenge of blockchains by enabling parallel transaction processing across multiple shards. However, handling diverse cross-shard transactions with low inter-shard dependence remains a challenge. Existing approaches, such as two-phase commit and transaction decomposition, suffer from strong intershard dependencies or limited support for complex cross-shard transactions. This paper proposes a hierarchical sharded blockchain architecture with a root shard and multiple working shards, all using Nakamoto consensus. The verification and execution of cross-shard transactions are separated between the root shard and the working shards. The root shard, holding the final authority over the system state, endorses working chains and verifies cross-shard transactions, while working shards focus on executing operations related to their own shard. To ensure security, all operations of cross-shard transactions are executed based on the state used by the root shard during transaction validation. We extend the structure of working block which enables continuous intra-shard transaction processing alongside cross-shard transaction execution, even during root chain forks, thereby reducing processing delays and improving overall throughput.

Large Language Models (LLMs) have showcased astounding capabilities across numerous tasks. Given that an LLM ingests vast amounts of data from human society, its behavior exhibits striking human-like characteristics. However, the ramifications of these anthropomorphic features on the model's proficiency in specialized tasks remain an unresolved query. This paper delves into the impact of personality traits on model performance. Specifically, we employ the Big Five Personality Theory for model analysis, guiding questions in diverse datasets using prompts constructed around specific personality traits to study LLM outputs. In comparison to the baseline test questions, tasks aligned with the Big Five personality traits manifested superior performance, with enhancements ranging from 0.6% to 3.6%, mirroring human behavior closely. This underscores that for optimal execution of specific professional tasks, incorporating corresponding personality traits in prompts can be an effective strategy when querying the LLM.

As the requirements of wireless communication networks change, the space-air-ground integrated network (SAGIN) architecture will be the primary goal of future communication networks. However, due to the pressure of user devices (UDs) to process compute-intensive tasks and the limited power of aircraft, this remains a challenge of reducing energy consumption in SAGIN system. Multi-access edge computing (MEC) provides a promising solution by offloading tasks to edge nodes with more computing resources. In this paper, we study a multinode cooperative task offloading problem, where user devices generate computing tasks that can be processed locally, offloaded to multiple unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or a satellite. The aim is to minimize the total energy consumption of the system while maintaining the task latency constraints by allocating the optimal mmWave band bandwidth, and jointly optimizing UAV trajectories, offloading decisions making, and computing resource allocation. Since the proposed problem optimization is NP-hard, the proposed Deep Reinforcement learning based cooperative Task Offloading (DRCTO) algorithm, which leverage the proximal policy optimization method, can accelerate the learning process of searching for the optimal solution. Numerical results indicate that the proposed DRCTO algorithm performs better than other comparable algorithms and significantly reduces the total system energy consumption.

The contours of objects effectively represent essential 3D information such as shapes and boundaries. Existing contour detection methods mostly rely on thresholding or neural networks to classify points as edge or non-edge points. However, these methods often lack generalization ability on datasets with different shapes, leading to issues such as missing contours and discontinuous distribution. To address this, we propose a 3D point cloud contour generation method based on the denoising diffusion probabilistic model (DDPM). Our method treats the complete point cloud as an explicit condition to guide the generation of contour from noise. Specifically, our method trains the DDPM to be a conditional generative network customized for contour generation tasks. In the network, we design the Conditional Feature Extraction (CFE) module that obtains multi-scale feature information, and the Conditional Feature Fusion (CFF) module embeds this information in the generation process to guide contour generation. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of our method. The source code of our method is available at: https://***/djzgroup/ContourGeneration.

Device to Device(D2D) caching employs direct communication technology to facilitate content sharing among adjacent users, effectively harnessing the storage resource of numerous terminal devices. Integrating user request diversity, resource limitation and content recommendation on user request probability, a joint optimization strategy for recommendation and collaborative cache is proposed to maximize the cache hit rate in D2D network. Firstly, the concept of regional user request probability is introduced, and the impact of content recommendation on user request probability is analyzed. And then, an initial regional user request model based on multi-level round-by-round iteration heuristic and long short-term memory algorithm is proposed to predict content popularity within collaborative clusters. Finally, combining recommendation and collaboration, the regional user request model is reconstructed, and an optimization algorithm is proposed to address the problem of content caching in D2D networks. Compared with other studies under different recommendation acceptance probabilities and cache capacities, the results show that the proposed algorithm improves the local cache hit rate by at least 24% and 9%, respectively.

Deep learning models, including convolution-based and self-attention-based models, have been highly successful applied to remote sensing object detection owing to their powerful performance. However, convolution-based models are constrained by the locality of convolution, thereby limiting their detection performance;self-attention-based methods require a large number of training samples to achieve good performance and have low computational efficiency, which hinders their application in real-time detection tasks. To address these issues, we propose an enhanced partial feature aggregation network (EPFA-Net) for remote sensing object detection. In EPFA-Net, we design an enhanced partial feature aggregation (EPFA) module that consists of two parts. The first part is an efficient layer aggregation block that is used to extract local features. The second part adopts a partial feature aggregation (PFA) structure, enhancing gradient efficiency, and a shift-window attention block to extract global features, establishing long-range dependencies. Extensive experiments are conducted on two challenging remote sensing object detection datasets. Experimental results indicate that EPFA-Net is superior to four mainstream methods in detection performance. In addition, findings from ablation experiments suggest that EPFA-Net is efficient in inference speed because of the utilization of the PFA structure.
