The deep-buried tunnels in Jinping II Hydropower Station are characterized by great depth, long length, large size in diameter and high geo-stress. During the excavation, by drilling and blasting method, of these tunnels, lots of the time-delayed rockbursts occurred;and blasting disturbance was one of triggering factors of their occurrence. This paper discusses the correlation between time-delayed rockbursts and blasting disturbance profoundly from two aspects of blasting disturbance strength and the delayed time of the time-delayed rockbursts. And the main conclusions were presented as follows: (1) the number of time-delayed rockbursts does not reduce with the increase of their distance from explosive center;(2) the risk of the time-delayed rockburst in situations with several working faces is obviously higher than that with single tunnel face;(3) most of the time-delayed rockbursts occur within seven days to one month after excavation;(4) the relationship between frequency of the time-delayed rockbursts and their delayed blasting time is a good power function, and the peak period of rockburst activities is within 4 hours after blasting.

Studying stress wave propagation across fractured rock mass is crucial to estimate the safety of an underground *** universal distinct element code(UDEC) has been used in fractured rock masses for the discreteness of rock *** this paper,the calibration work of UDEC modeling on P-wave propagation across a single nonlinear joint normally is firstly conducted and the results match very well with the solutions by the time-domain recursive method proposed by Li(2012).Secondly,numerical studies of P-wave propagation across a single joint obliquely are carried out,Finally,parametric study is conducted for the effects of the joints spacing,the joint number,JCS and JRC on the transmission for the P-wave propagation across parallel *** results reveal that the magnitude of transmission coefficient not only decreases with the increasing of joints numbers but also related to the joint spacing,the JCS and JRC.

By the experimental study on the physical and mechanical properties of typical rock in the Liuzuo Copper Mine,the base physical parameter and main mechanical parameters such as elasticity modulus,poisson's ratio,compressive strength and shear strength parameters is put forward in this *** analyzes the uniaxial compressive strength influenced by moisture content,the triaxial compressive strength and the elasticity modulus influenced by confining *** the optimal correlativity of the compressive and elasticity modulus is obtained through analyzing the curve *** research results can provide basic data for the study on mining numerical analysis,the stope structure optimization,also the correlativity of the compressive and elasticity modulus can provide reference when there isn't enough data.

Salt caverns are utilized widely as natural gas storage and compressed air energy storage because of rheology and low-permeability of salt. For both natural gas storage or energy storage, gas injection and gas withdrawal are carried on alternately, two cycles one year for natural gas storage while one cycle every day for compressed air energy storage. For investigation of mechanical characteristics of rock salt under injection and withdrawal cycles, triaxial cyclic loading tests were conducted using a MTS test system. Linear relationships between stress and strain under unloading and reloading were observed. The linear character of the stress-strain response during reloading and unloading is more apparent at an increased confining pressure. Confining pressure reduces the difference of deformation modulus between unloading and reloading. The constitutive relationship for loading and unloading was constructed and proved by fatigue testes.

The stress and pore pressure dependence of permeability of shale gas rock is considered for the case of two-solid constituents porous *** is done for a generalized model of composite sphere phases each of them being gas/fluid *** is shown that the total mean stress in each of the phases is different from the confining stress even for homogeneous *** leads to a more complicated dependence of permeability rather than that of Terzaghi effective stress,*** stress minus pore pressure as in the case of one-solid constituent porous *** dependence of permeability on pore pressure is captured by taking into account Knudsen and slip flow *** depletion-induced variation of pore pressure leads to variation of eigen-strain,the resultant strain and stress exerted at the reservoir by surrounding country rock is found by using Eshelby-type inclusion *** depletion-induced evolution of reservoir permeability is expressed as a function of pore pressure.

A generalized-plasticity-based model for sandstone considering time-dependent behavior

Based on the concept of generalized plasticity,this study proposes a constitutive model for describing the time-dependent behavior and wetting deterioration of *** proposed model(1) exhibits nonlinear elasticity under hydrostatic and shear loading;(2) follows the associated flow rule for viscoplastic deformation;(3) adopts a creep modulus that varies with stress ratios;and(4) considers the primary and secondary creep behaviors of *** model requires 13 material parameters,comprising 3 for elasticity,7 for plasticity, and 3 for *** proposed model is first validated by comparing the triaxial tests of sandstone under different hydrostatic stress and cyclic loading ***,it is versatile in simulating the time-dependent behavior through a series of multi-staged creep tests.

Combined test research on coal-rock pillar width setting of district sublevel for fully-mechanized face with large mining height

Reasonable width of district sublevel coal-rock pillar is the premise of scientific mining for a safe and high efficient mine,they all indicate that,the setting width of forty meters coal pillar is obviously large in Ningdong test mine now,by the analysis of FLAC numerical simulation based on ideal elastoplastic theory and engineering practice results of many *** in situ test under the mine involves real-time monitoring of sixteen hollow inclusions' 3-D strain,dynamic monitoring of surrounding rock stress and deformation in test roadways with different coal pillar width（10 m & 20 m） before and after the mining-induced influence by the *** of the above theoretical calculations,simulation and underground test results are considered to determine a reasonable width scope of district sublevel coal pillar design from 8.9 meters to 11.9 meters in the test mine under specific geological condition,which provides some guiding role for width design method of district sublevel coal-rock pillar under similar mining conditions.

Under the condition of deep mining,anomalously low friction effect in deep block rock mass is related with dynamic disaster in deep rock *** on practical situation of deep mines in China,the model of deep block rock mass considering overlying rock mass pressure was *** analytical expression of relationship between block kinetic function and displacement-time function was derived with rock depth h *** maximum rate of load drop is 1.06×105 N/s when anomalously low friction effect generate at -800m coal and rock mass,and the wave periodicity of normal load in rock mass is 0.1 *** results show that with the wave of normal load in rock mass,relatively blocks compacting drive to *** anomalously low friction effect is easy to *** rate of load drop sharply increase,and it can also be one of the characteristic index of anomalously low friction effect in rock mass.

rock cutting mechanisms were used for the prediction of the cutting performance of mechanical excavators in the mid of ***,rock cutting tests performed in the laboratory both in small and full scales have been successfully applied for the same purpose as a more realistic method for the last few *** advance rate,the specif icenergy,and the performance of the excavation machine can accurately be predicted by means of those *** accordance with the advanced technology,the cutting tests can also be modeled by utilizing the discrete element method as in Particle Flow Code in 3D(PFC) and hence the performance of a machine can be assessedfrom this code as *** paper initially summarizes the methods which have been applied to predict the ***,rock cutting simulations by using a conical bit in PFC are discussed and the pick forces recordedin the course ofmodeling are *** results are compared with the ones obtained from rock cutting *** addition,an understanding of how discrete assemblies are failed during cutting and how the tool forces on the bit are influencedby the failure type are examined.
