Nowadays, three major issues stand out in managing personal photo galleries: (1) the memory usage of many photos, (2) the clutter of photos in the gallery and challenges in gallery management, and (3) the difficulty in choosing the best photo from a series of consecutive shots. These issues not only negatively impact the user experience but also reduce device performance and make memory usage inefficient. In this paper, a method for grouping similar photos in a gallery using deep learning and unsupervised machine learning approaches is proposed. Then, the highest quality photo is selected from among similar photos using reference-free image quality metrics. The proposed approach will allow users to manage their digital content more effectively and use their storage space more efficiently © 2024 IEEE.

Diabetes is a serious condition that is primarily brought on by aging, high blood pressure, pregnancy, insulin, body mass index, and the diabetes gene. Remember that if diabetes is not treated, it can cause damage to other organs and lead to major health issues like high blood pressure, kidney, eye, and heart damage. For the best possible care, diabetes must be detected early. Our research uses a range of machine learning techniques to improve the accuracy of early diabetes identification in patients or persons. To anticipate when diabetes may manifest, we would employ machine learning, ensemble classification algorithms, and a dataset. Naïve Bayesian network, logistic regression (LR), K-Nearest Neighbor, random forests (RF), and support vector machines (SVM). The research results in a model that clearly demonstrates its ability to predict diabetes. Our results show that the Random Forest model performs more accurately than other machine learning techniques. © Grenze scientific Society, 2024.

Gait disorders due to ageing, injury are typically disabling and negatively moving a patient to depend upon the nursing assistant. Thereby, affecting the patient's quality of life and attainment of arm movement is taken into account as foremost objectives of rehabilitation therapy. To overcome issues associated with standard physical medical care, in this decade adaptive mechatronics devices based rehabilitation therapy has demonstrated a vital role in raising the patient with gait disorder to walk without any human assistance. The mechatronics based rehabilitation training devices can be shortened into assistive training systems and adaptive walking systems. In this review, we wish to spotlight the need and importance of adaptive mechatronics based rehabilitation training devices which are widely used nowadays for gait medical specialty rehabilitation therapy and also focuses on its functioning, effectiveness, adaptability and challenges including the employment of human adaptive systems. © 2022 IEEE.

The circulating current of modular multilevel converter (MMC) bridge arm increases the current distortion rate and current stress of MMC bridge arm, and boosts converter losses, and increases capacitor voltage fluctuations. Considering the switching function of the Modular Multilevel Converter (MMC), a mathematical link has been established between the second harmonic of the common-mode voltage across the bridge arm and the Circulating Current Suppressing Controller (CCSC), within the d q rotating coordinate system. Consequently, a dual-layer control scheme has been crafted with the objective of diminishing the capacitor voltage fluctuations. The voltage control is implemented in the outer layer, while the current control is executed in the inner layer. The process involves creating a sub-module capacitor voltage model that accounts for second harmonic circulation. Following this, the reference value for the circulating second harmonic current is established via the outer loop control mechanism. The outer loop controller zeroes the second harmonic capacitor voltage, ensuring no steady-state error between the output and its setpoint. Then, the second harmonic voltage reference signal of the bridge arm is generated by the inner loop controller, and finally the pulse signal required for each sub-module is generated by modulation for input or removal. Finally, the circulating current injection strategy is verified by simulation and experiment. The findings show a decrease in both the fundamental and second harmonic of the sub-module capacitor's voltage, particularly in the suppression of the second harmonic. © 2024 IEEE.

With the advancement of computer computing power, most of the current SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) algorithms use graph optimization to build graphs. The key to graph optimization is to establish nodes and edges, that is keyframes and pose constraints. However, most algorithms still use heuristic methods to determine whether to establish new keyframes. This method usually creates redundant keyframes, adding invalid nodes to the graph optimization process, which results in lower efficiency of back-end optimization. Moreover, the frequent creation of keyframes leads to the need for frequent updates to the local map in front-end point cloud matching, reducing its efficiency. In this paper, we introduce an information-theoretic method for deciding when to generate new keyframes and optimizing updates to the local map for better front-end point cloud matching. Specifically, we calculate the information entropy of each point cloud matching pose. Once it reaches the set threshold, it indicates that the previous local map does not provide sufficient information for point cloud matching, which necessitates the establishment of a new keyframe. The local map is also updated immediately. This proposed method can establish keyframes with sufficient information and improve the accuracy of point cloud matching in the public dataset evaluation. © 2023 IEEE.

Visual ship image object detection has essential applications for near-shore ship management and military object location. In recent years, object detection technology based on a deep learning algorithm has been widely studied in object detection of visible ship images, and achieved outstanding results. However, due to the difference and overlap of nearshore ship objects, the object loss rate is high. Aiming at the above problems, this paper proposes an improved RetinaNet ship object detection algorithm. Firstly, channel attention is added after the residual network, and used to enhance the attention to low-frequency information. Secondly, the cyclical focal loss and the CIOU loss function are used to increase the training times of negative samples in the middle of training, which effectively improves object detection accuracy. The experimental results show that the improved RetinaNet algorithm improves the recognition accuracy of ship objects by 2.5%. © 2023 SPIE.

In this paper, we propose a grading method for the evaluation of information security level protection based on robot navigation and 3D reconstruction, study and propose a grading evaluation scheme for robot positioning and understanding of the surrounding environment, quickly reconstruct the 3D system of the site environment through the auxiliary evaluation of industrial robots based on ID code positioning, and finally transplant the algorithm to the robot operating system to achieve mobile cruise function in combination with ROS function package and path planning, Multiple threshold adjustments are made to control the evaluation error within a reasonable range. By analyzing the grading of level protection evaluation, the obtained data is calculated to obtain the grading level of relevant institutions' level protection evaluation, which greatly increases the accuracy and execution efficiency of the evaluation. © 2023 IEEE.

recent advancements in imaging technologies have allowed for astonishing advances in scientific analysis and ultra-rapid real-time imaging or automated evaluation of large information sets. One of the most considerable imaging modalities is three-D-MRI, which provides a complete view of frame tissues and organs. This approach has been utilized in scientific programs, from detecting most cancers to diagnosing coronary heart situations. However, manual assessment based on the statements is frequently tricky and timeingesting due to the high complexity of MRI data units. Deep gaining knowledge of algorithms can be used to automate the evaluation system, supplying quicker and greater unique diagnoses. In this paper, we discover the usage of deep studying to evaluate three-D-MRI photos. We discuss the demanding situations and potential advantages of this technique, in addition to the present-day kingdom of studies inside the discipline. Ultimately, we present our outcomes, which display the capacity of deep studying for three-D-MRI analysis. Deep mastering algorithms offer a green and accurate way of analyzing complex scientific situations. © 2024 IEEE.

In recent times, deep learning techniques have been utilized for segmenting transmission electron microscopy (TEM) images. While these tools have been simplified due to open-source software and developments in theory, expert knowledge is still necessary to select optimal model architecture and training setup. Our study compared the effectiveness of two commonly used segmentation frameworks, U-Net and Mask-RCNN, for segmenting TEM images containing helium cavities. Although U-Net produces high-quality segmentation results, it is not as effective at detecting individual objects as Mask R-CNN, which is a more complex algorithm requiring more computational resources. The selection of algorithms should be based on specific use case requirements;Mask R-CNN may be more suitable for detecting individual objects, while U-Net may be better for efficiency concerns. © 2023 IEEE.

With the popularity of clean energy utilization and the in-depth development of microgrids, virtual synchronous power generation technology has received more and more attention. Control strategy techniques based on the simulation of synchronous generators can provide effective frequency and voltage regulations for renewable energy electrical systems. However, the synchronous generator is similar to a voltage source, and simply simulating the synchronous generator's equations will make the converter exhibit uncontrolled characteristics on the short-time scale for electromagnetic transients. Due to the flexible control property of the converter, the current control can be further increased to achieve electromagnetic transient control based on the slow time-scale feature of the virtual synchronous generator. This paper proposes an electromagnetic transient control method for virtual synchronous generation technology. The method can effectively control the short-time scale electromagnetic transients and preserve the slow dynamics and has the advantages of parameter robustness and structural simplicity. © 2023 IEEE.
