Homography estimation is a crucial problem in computer vision, which aims to provide an optimal transformation matrix for aligning images captured from different viewpoints. Current methods extract shallow features from image pairs and introduce learnable mask modules to improve homography estimation performance. However, they struggle to capture long-term dependencies between features and comprehend the global structures of image features. A deep unsupervised homography learning framework is proposed in this paper, consisting of a weight-sharing feature extraction network and a homography estimation network based on the Transformer model. The former extracts the local features of images, while the latter learns the correlation between them and understands the global features of images, enabling the algorithm to better estimate the homography of unaligned images. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms the advanced methods for estimating homography matrices in the CA-Unsupervised dataset. © 2023 IEEE.

Personal voice assistants have revolutionized how people interact with technology by enabling effortless access to a variety of services by making the user experience natural and more effective using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Natural language processing (NLP) technologies to understand spoken instructions and reply the information with the most appropriate information or actions that are appropriate to the current context. The voice assistant can now be the ultimate time saver thanks to its wide range of functionalities, which range from basic tasks like setting alarms and playing music on YouTube to more advanced ones like understanding text through paragraphs and responding to any questions inside it using NLP. Personal voice assistants have shown great promise in changing human-computer interaction and promoting a more comfortable, personalized, and natural experience with computing. © Grenze scientific Society, 2024.

Notch filter is an important type of filter which is widely used in communication technology and other fields because it effectively filters out the interference signals with the specific extremely narrow frequency bands, and efficiently transmits signals outside these frequency bands. A novel optimization method for FIR notch filter design using Firefly Algorithm is proposed. This method uses the minimum magnitude error in stopband as the optimization object, uses the magnitude error in passband as the constraint conditions, and realizes the FIR notch filter design by Firefly Algorithm. The result of design has both small order and good performance. Therefore this method can be employed in the FIR notch filter design efficiently. © 2025 IEEE.

The Duffing's equation is a non-linear second-order ordinary differential equation, describing processes with different physical nature. It analyses the status of deterministic dynamical systems. The Duffing's oscillators can be realized by serial connection of resistor, coil and capacitor, where only the latter one is non-linear. Other two passive elements are linear. In the present paper the simplest Duffing's oscillator is considered. On this base the dynamics of the studied electrical circuit are discussed. The Duffing's equation solution is simulated by Matlab/Simulink model. The paper finishes with conclusion remarks about the adequacy of the proposed model to solve the Duffing's equation. © 2023 IEEE.

Agriculture is the backbone of humankind. Labour plays a major role in agriculture, particularly in tomato cultivation. Tomatoes play an important role in human diet. On the other hand, tomato harvesting is becoming increasingly difficult due to labour shortage. As a result, the price of tomatoes has continued to increase. This makes it difficult for farmers and exporters to sell and buy tomatoes. The primary goal is to assist farmers. Farmers typically look for ripe tomatoes to sell, and they identify ripe tomatoes based on their colour. The sensors included in the proposed model automatically separate the harvested tomatoes into ripe [red] and raw [green] tomatoes. Using this information, the colour sensing technique is used to make farmers' jobs easier when harvesting tomatoes. This research also intends to assist farmers in identifying the ripe and raw tomatoes and separate them accordingly. This classification process can be applied either before harvesting in the field or after collecting them from the storage. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper explores how to optimize the risk assessment of illegal building demolitions using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. By analyzing typical case data of forced demolitions in Shenzhen, this study combines traditional Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation (FCE) methods, and introduces machine learning models (such as Random Forest Regression) to automate the optimization of weight allocation in the risk assessment process. The risk assessment model that integrates AI technology not only improves the scientific accuracy of demolition risk prediction but also provides policymakers with more precise demolition strategies. In the implementation of policies, this research suggests starting with the demolition of illegal buildings with lower risks and gradually addressing the complexities of illegal building demolition, while enhancing decision-making efficiency through an intelligent decision support system. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s). Lie detectors are intended to determine whether a person is telling the truth. Psychologists and computer scientists have done a lot of research to make this possible. The psychologist can determine if a normal person is telling the truth or not by his body language;but what if this person is a skilled actor who can make the task of a psychologist difficult. For that, the investigators are using lie detectors with vital signs such as heart rate, etc. This research proposes to design a system that detects lies through deep learning using sound features such as mel-spectrogram. The proposed model can detect deception with a substantial accuracy of 100% on the training dataset and 97 % on the testing dataset. © 2022 IEEE.

Automated image classification of granite tiles presents challenges due to the variable textures present in the images. This study explores the impact of image augmentation on the classification performance of granite tile images using the pre-trained VGG16 Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) architecture. Contrary to the expected benefits of image augmentation in enhancing model robustness and generalization, our experiments highlight potential drawbacks when applied to texture classification. Using transfer learning, the baseline model, trained without augmentation, achieved the highest accuracy of 97.1%. However, most models trained with augmented data exhibited reduced accuracies, with the exception of flipping technique reaching up to 98.5%. Notably, common augmentation techniques, including rotation and scaling, demonstrated varying degrees of performance degradation, suggesting that these techniques may distort essential textural patterns crucial for accurate classification. These findings underscore the importance of employing dataset-specific augmentation strategies tailored to the unique characteristics of the dataset, particularly in texture-sensitive applications like granite tile classification. © 2024 IEEE.

Porosity calculation plays a vital role in evaluating the structural integrity and performance of wave-dissipating blocks used in coastal engineering. These blocks are structures that are designed to protect coasts, beaches, and so on from erosion by reducing the energy of ocean waves. As simulation scales and data complexities grow, traditional grid-based methods face significant computational challenges, particularly in real-time applications. This research introduces an octree-based method as a novel and efficient alternative to the grid-based approach. Leveraging the hierarchical spatial partitioning capabilities of octrees, this method adapts dynamically to varying block densities, significantly optimizing computational efficiency. By comparing the performance of grid-based and octree-based methods under diverse simulation conditions, this study provides actionable insights into selecting appropriate computational techniques for complex engineering simulations. The findings have broader implications for advancing computational efficiency in big data analytics, spatial data management, and environmental modelling, contributing to the scientific community's understanding of scalable and adaptable methodologies in engineering and beyond. © 2025 SPIE.
