Face recognition technology, a subset of biometric technology, has emerged as a crucial and revolutionary tool in various industries, including identity verification, security, and surveillance. In this study, face recognition technology has been employed to enhance the student attendance system at the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FSKTM). The current attendance recording method, which requires students to scan a QR code during teaching and learning sessions, presents several challenges. It is time-consuming, prone to inaccuracies, and susceptible to misuse, such as remote attendance recording and QR code sharing, which can lead to errors and class disruptions. To address these issues, the student Face Recognition Attendance System was developed to ensure attendance is recorded accurately, efficiently, and with integrity. The system incorporates three user roles, which are administrator, students, and lecturer, and focuses on managing student attendance data within educational institutions. Prototyping software process model was adopted for this project, emphasizing iterative development through phases including requirement gathering, quick decision-making, building and refining a prototype, user evaluation, and final product development. The system was developed using a combination of OpenCV and software such as PyCharm and Firebase, with Python as the programming language. This system is expected to significantly reduce the time required for attendance recording while minimizing errors, thereby improving the overall efficiency and reliability of the attendance process.

This project aimed to develop an automated system for extracting data from the FusionSolar monitoring platform to evaluate solar energy system performance using machine learning. Implemented in KNIME, the system automates data extraction, builds a predictive model with decision tree algorithms, and assesses performance through testing. The project demonstrated KNIME’s effectiveness for automating data analytics in renewable energy, with potential for broader applications in solar system optimization. Future improvements include integrating weather data and expanding real-time capabilities across multiple plants.

This paper presents a detailed analysis of the integration of an RC snubber circuit in a Bidirectional DC-DC Converter (BDC) with galvanic isolation. The proposed topology addresses critical challenges such as voltage spikes and efficiency losses in energy transfer between Electric Vehicles (EVs) and Energy Storage Systems (ESS). Experimental results reveal that the RC snubber effectively reduces voltage spikes from 68V to 16V and improves system efficiency by up to $\mathbf{1. 4 6 \%}$ in EV-to-ESS (mode 1) and ESS-toEV (mode 2). This study underscores the significance of snubber circuits in enhancing the reliability and operational stability of BDCs for sustainable energy infrastructure.

Quadcopters have a nonlinear model, multivariable systems, and six degrees of freedom (6-DOF) to control four actuators. In this study, the quadcopter used feedback linearization model to control the position and Model Predictive Control (MPC) based on Linear Parameters Varying (LPV) to control the attitude of the quadcopter. Position controller of supposed method used feedback linearization for linearized the system. The input for controlling position used in state feedback. Pole placement also used for placing the pole of the position equation into stable one. For reaching the pole, Proportional-Derivative controller used to improve the results. The attitude controller used LPV as the varying parameters contain of the acceleration of euler angles and the angular rates of each rotors. The simulation was performed to examine the performance. The simulation results show that the designed control algorithm can track the trajectory. The analysis shows that the proposed controller have RMSE 0.2225, this result based on trajectory result and reference.

Indonesia’s rural areas face critical challenges in adopting digital transformation due to low digital literacy and limited access to technology. To address these issues, this study develops a front-end website application for village using React, aimed at improving transparency, accessibility, and efficiency in village governance. The application features an integrated village information system, digital administrative services, and public aspirations submission tools, designed to tackle inefficiencies and foster community engagement. Employing the Design Thinking methodology, the development process emphasizes user-centered design to cater to the specific needs of rural communities with varying levels of digital literacy. Evaluation was conducted with 39 respondents using a Likert scale to access ease of use, feature usefulness, information completeness, and user satisfaction. Results indicate that the application significantly enhances service delivery, transparency, and user interaction. This study demonstrates that digital solutions can bridge the digital divide and enable rural areas in Indonesia to achieve more effective and participatory governance

The most popular way of learning Islamic calligraphy is face-to-face, under the supervision of teachers, tutors or trainers. However, finding an expert to teach handwriting Islamic calligraphy is difficult. Therefore, this paper proposed an interactive tutoring in handwriting Islamic calligraphy framework, namely the I-HATIC framework, as a guideline for designing and developing tutoring applications specifically for handwriting Islamic calligraphy. The tutoring application based on the proposed I-HATIC framework describes how human and computer interaction creates good calligraphy or style handwriting in interactive ways. It is motivated by the lack of a well-trained trainer teaching handwriting Islamic calligraphy. This paper discusses the existing frameworks, theoretical foundations, issues, and trends related to handwriting Islamic calligraphy. As a result, the proposed I-HATIC framework can be a guideline in producing up-and-coming handwriting Islamic calligraphy tutoring applications to attract more young generations to explore Islamic calligraphy and solve the problems of limited welltrained trainers.

This paper discusses the impedance control modeling for robot manipulators. This robot manipulator has a task that requires it to interact with its environment. One of the controls is on a surgical robot, where the robot must adjust to the bones or environment for surgery. In this interaction, the robot’s problem is not only knowing the position but also the force given must be appropriate so as to avoid damage to the robot or its environment. Therefore, a method is needed to control the force, so that the maximum force value can be known in advance. This impedance control method regulates the interaction force between the robot and the environment. This type of control regulates the dynamic behavior of the robot manipulator when in contact with the environment. It can also control stiffness and reduce interaction forces with proper contact. This model is simulated using Matlab to model the dynamics of the robot, the environment, and control the robot’s interaction force. The results of this simulation if the end effector remains in a certain position and is influenced by Fext, the end effector will move from the desired position

This paper practically implements and compares different Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM) techniques on a grid-connected seven-level Cascaded H-Bridge Multilevel Inverter (CHBMLI). The implementation is performed using Intel MAX 10 FPGA technology. A Zero Crossing Detector (ZCD) with hysteresis and Phase Locked Loop (PLL) realized within the FPGA is used for grid synchronization. A further expansion applied the Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) for control of power injected into the grid, thus reducing THD in total and improving the quality of power. Finally, the paper prescribed vigilance to SPWM techniques including Phase Shifted PWM (PSPWM), Phase Disposition PWM (PDPWM), Phase Opposition Disposition PWM (PODPWM), Alternate Phase Opposition Disposition PWM (APODPWM) and Saw-tooth Rotation PWM (SRPWM). PSPWM technology combining fuzzy logic control processes emerged with the least current THD and enhanced power qualities thus recommended for application in microgrid applications.

This paper introduces Fall Detection and Heart Rate (FaDaHer), a health monitoring system designed specifically for the elderly. As valuable members of society who have dedicated their lives to family and community, the elderly possess a wealth of experience and knowledge that can benefit future generations. However, aging often brings health challenges, including heart disease. To address these concerns, this project aims to design a system that is capable of monitoring vital signs like heart rate and pulse rate. By utilizing a NodeMCU microcontroller and various sensors, the device can detect anomalies in these parameters and send alerts to caregivers. Additionally, the collected data can be analyzed to identify early signs of heart disease. The system can distinguish between different activities, such as sitting, standing, and falling, and set thresholds for normal and abnormal heart rates. Ultimately, this project seeks to improve the health and safety of the elderly by enabling early detection and intervention for heart-related conditions.

PowerPlay is a game-based learning tool to educate children about energy conservation. It addresses the gap in effective mediums for teaching energy conservation to young learners and the limitations of traditional methods. This study employs the waterfall model methodology to design and implement an interactive educational game. This adaptation features two game modes, EcoFact and EcoGuess, which incorporate educational videos and enjoyment factors to engage children in fun learning about environmental responsibility. This study conducted enjoyment testing following the guidelines from eGameFlow to ensure an engaging and motivating learning experience. Results demonstrate high user engagement and enjoyment levels, validating the game’s educational impact. PowerPlay emerges as a promising tool for fostering environmental awareness and responsibility in children through an innovative and enjoyable medium.
